I played games on a shitty TV like this for 12 years before I finally got a new one.
We had one of those. It died in 2012 after (I think) 20 years in the family.
That's around the same time mine died. The colors started to fuck up. Darker colors were much darker and whites looked pinkish/red. It was annoying. Playing games that had night-time levels was a fucking nightmare, even with the brightness turned up it still looked awful.
