Captain Ironsides is objectively the greatest character in this game.
nah Nick Valentine
nah Hancock

Do some people die without ever breeding? Then no.
Does society foster and support those who have otherwise proven to be ineffective at demonstrating the ability to survive?

Under no circumstances is it right to limit speech. It should be the most sacred liberty and natural right of any society and whether that speech hurt the feelings or offend anyone is irrelevant.

634
Simple question

Does our sapience and advancement make natural selection irrelevant to us?

It's quite sad that people care more about how many minority people you have in your staff as opposed to whether the staff are the best at their role.
So diversity isn't also an admirable quality?
Not when it takes precedence over a more qualified person getting the job

And beating up a reporter for practicing his natural rights instantly undermines any validity, not that there was any to begin with, your cause had.

Also "safe places" are unlawful
Lmao

Please explain how

And you do realize that literally everywhere is a "safe space" in some form or fashion, yes?
You can't impede free speech
Uh...yes, you can.

Really easily, actually.

Just because it's not illegal to talk about something doesn't mean it's accepted socially or academically.
Physically assaulting someone for practicing their first amendment rights, which the protester's as a collective whole did, is an illegal impedance of natural rights however.

One of the Missouri protestor's top demands was to raise the institutional staffing of Blacks (not just minorities in general, blacks specifically) to 10% which is pretty much an unprecedented rate for any major university. The universities with the most black staff in the country are only sitting at about 6%. So let's just recap. These protesters are demanding the university fire perfectly qualified white people based on the fact that they are not black and replace them with people that are. That is racism in its most blatant and pure form. Congratulations, welcome to the horseshoe effect.

"If you pay to go to a public school, you can't complain if you face institutionalized discrimination"

Yeah, what a guy
Not offering is very niche subject as a major isn't discrimination.
Occidental is also a private school.
Not saying it is, but he's doing the "le ebin free speech, no safe spaces" shit. Nothing to do with majors.
Free speech should be the most cherished right of any free nation.
And? That doesn't mean you don't have the right to formally complain when the faculty and staff of an educational institution are calling you "nigger".
No one on any staff called anyone a nigger....

It was other students tossing the racial slurs, supposedly. There's no actual proof of that.

It's not like FO3 didn't have a similar problem. Nine of the perks just added points to stats, seven were simple damage bonuses, five that increased your accuracy, four altered your rad/damage resistances, and most of the rest just offset fuck ups and low skills (25% cheaper bartering, +30 HP, another chance to pick locks, fast sneaking, child at heart, strong back, etc) or extended the use of objects (longer lasting chems, half as likely to become addicted). There are only a couple of "unique" perks, such as Mysterious Stranger, Cannibal, and Mister Sandman.

DLCs added more "unique" perks, like Quantum Chemist, and you can get a small amount of unique perks from completing quests (Power Armor Training), but from what I understand Fallout 4 has the latter and will probably get the former when DLC starts coming out.
yeah, I forgot about this. Todd was never very good at designing interesting stuff for his game.
Granted, New Vegas did a much better job with making perk choices matter than FO3 or FO4 (seems to), but Bethesda doesn't really seem to give a shit about whatever changes Obsidian made in their installment.

Petition for Chris Avellone to be brought on for DLC assistance when?
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere he refuses to work for Bethesda because he really dislikes what they did to the series which is understandable since its basically his baby that he built from the ground up.

He's working on Divinity: Original Sin 2 right now

No I'm being serious I would kill her if her bitch ass wasn't essential
Fantastic

but her voice acting isn't "bad".
it's subjective
I don't think it is. If you want bad voice acting, look at this.

YouTube

You obviously know more about VA than I do since last I heard it's like a side occupation of yours or something and sure there are objective aspects to voice acting and its quality. I'm just saying I subjectively do no like Piper's VA because I find her voice to be abrasive and annoying in my opinion. Objective aspects of it though; it is obviously that Piper's VA knows what she is doing and how to properly project emotion into her voice. Once again it's just that I do not like the way she sounds.

So sure it's not entirely subjective but it's not entirely objective either, just like music.

All of those are opinions, and I find them funny/great, but to say her voice acting is shit is objectively wrong. Do you WANT to hear bad voice acting? Because that's not one of them.

I live and grew up in a super Protestant area and went to a Protestant church as a child.

They are truly the most cancerous denomination of Christianity.

The last thing I remember reading on this was last week about the protests at the University of Missouri. In that article the reporter that made it was pretty viciously attacked by these protesters for simply taking pictures and trying to ask some question to compile his article. So being that they're attacking someone for practicing freedom of speech and press they've pretty much lost all credibility from me for whatever it is that they're protesting about; that of which I'm still not entirely sure.
freedom of speech is pretty much dead on campus.
Yeah I found the article in question

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/11/how-campus-activists-are-weaponizing-the-safe-space/415080/

They basically created a 'safe space' where reporters weren't allowed because the protesters were afraid they would put a negative narrative on any article. At various points, they intimidate him. Ultimately, they physically push him. But all the while, they are operating on the premise, or carrying on the pretense, that he is making them unsafe. Like the article says they basically weaponized "safe spaces."

Natural instinct is all about survival of the individual not the species as a whole.
Is this even true?
Examples in nature would point to yes.
I don't think they do. Your bear example makes sense, sort of, but ultimately, it's well-known (I think) that the biological purpose of life is to propagate the species, which could be described as a collectivist ideal. Any biological imperatives for individual survival are contingent upon this grander scheme--without individuals, there can't be a collective in the first place, so of course there's gonna be some imperatives in place.

That doesn't necessarily mean they take precedence, however.
Fair enough
