It really tends to clutter up the boards and the only time its possibly understandable IMO is when a really hot topic gets moved from one board to another (the latest thread over avatars for example). Nigga I've dealt with that shit all my life. I'm almost 20 years old now and still top out 120 pounds while being 5'10. And yes like you I can eat an absolute fuck ton of the most unhealthy shit and nothing. In fact I haven't gained a single pound since eighth grade. You've got the metabolism of a cheetah and there's no getting around that. There's simply nothing you can do about it, believe me I've tried it all. Just live with what you have and go with it. The staff didn't base their choice off of who had the most nominations. That thread wasn't a vote for who would be monitor, just a way to gauge an idea of who would be interested.
the community doesn't always just voice their choices based off popularity. A lot of times its simply just who would be best for the job. I think the missed opportunity here was diversifying the staff and choosing people that weren't part of the hierarchical circlejerk of the site.
