Not really, when you remove the three front runners that absolutely will not be getting the nomination due to their inability to appeal to anyone other than the base (dead in a general election) he's right behind Rubio. I personally think that the GOP is going to go with what they believe to be the safer pick and give Bush the nomination.
are you entirely sure the GOP wants to pick someone that appeals to anyone other than the base? I mean they did basically give Boehner the boot because he was actually willing to work with Dems. Yeah picking Rubio or Bush would be the smart and safe bet but I think you're giving the GOP too much credit. I see them going the dumb route and picking an extremist like Trump or Fiorina

Finally a real answer. Do you have any tips?
Not too different from any other game of the type research a little what attacks work best on each opponent though you'll figure it out by just playing. My explanations on that are going to be shit and there are some great guides out there on the subject. scout mode is going to be your best friend meticulously build your party, you'll want a good mix of spell casters and melee fighters. Though that's a lot of fun to mess around with. By that I mean a full party of spell casters can make for interesting play rest whenever you get the chance aka make sure you've always got camping supplies there are the optional special companions scattered throughout the game who have back story but are still just that optional. My suggestion would be to get as many of them as you can, they've all got really good back stories that add to the game and are much more interesting that the generic hire-able party members. always explore the entirety of every area, read any and all notes you find, talk to everyone pause often, battles can get intense especially when you build up a large party of companions (companions don't have any AI function, you have to control their every move, though you probably knew that) f5 will be another one of your best friends the game has a great sub reddit, check it out
