If you can show them throwing their life away isn't the answer, then thats what any normal person would do. Suicide is a disgrace to humanity under the term of depression, i dont care if they want to. If theyre a part of my life I wouldnt let them.

Because they never want to give it all up, they just dont see the point, thats why you try to let them see that there is more to all of this.
What's so terrible about dying?

One doctor's findings =/= conclusive evidence
A top doctor's scientific evidence suddenly isn't evidence because you don't agree with it?
The guy didn't provide any scientific evidence. He provided two statistics, one on suicide rates which he conveniently gave no context on other than they were "trans." The other was some garble over 70%-80% children who express transgender feelings lose those feelings over time which doesn't help your argument at all. The rest was pure opinion drawn from his own conclusions. But yeah loads of scientific evidence there, man.
LOL

So ALL suicides are caused by bigotry. Sure.
I must have missed where I stated that.

Feeling trapped. Thinking you have the wrong reproductive organs.
You know what would solve that problem?

Except that doesn't solve the problem for everybody.

That's my point.
It only matters that it solves the problem for the affected person.
The point is it doesn't solve the problem for every affected person you illiterate friend.
How does it not? If they want to be the opposite gender then undergoing the surgery to become the opposite gender is the clear solution.

I don't understand the issue. Clearly gender dysphoria is a harmful disorder to those who experience it and those who rely on them to be able to function normally. But transgenderism helps to solve it for the individual and doesn't hurt anyone else. What's the big deal?
Just bigots who think that every other person need to conform to beliefs that don't violate their comfort zone.

you could say that about any mental illness.
No, you couldn't. Because 99% of all other mental illnesses are actually harmful.

Gender dysphoria isn't harmful at all. Not in and of itself.
nothing actually happens with a mental illness. a mental illness will not kill you. ptsd wont kill you. schizophrenia wont kill you. bipolar disorder wont kill you.

its the dumbass decisions you make because of that disorder that kills you.
Gender dsyphoria has never caused someone to murder. You can't seriously be trying to compare GD with mental illnesses like schizophrenia. Please tell me you're joking?
i'm comparing metal illnesses to mental illnesses, thats all.
Just because it makes you uncomfortable doesn't mean its a mental illness. Grow up

you can't dictate how someone else lives their life when the act in question doesn't even affect you
So as long as my child molesting neighbor doesn't rape my kid I shouldn't dictate how he should live his life?

I'll just apply my favorite quote of Ayn Rand's which a lot of my views stem from

Quote
My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute.

If living as whatever gender you were born into makes you unhappy by all means do something about it. If being the opposite gender is what is going to help you lead a happier life there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't do it. I think its pretty goddamn fucked up that you would try and suggest denying someone of that happiness.

I'll entertain this notion you're putting forth with no empirical evidence.

So what if they're killing themselves over it?
So what? It's a fucking tragedy.

Quote
It isn't anyone's responsibility to do something about it.
yes it is. It's everybody's responsibility.

Its the same notion as drug users. So what if someone wants to OD and die on meth? It's not your place to say otherwise.
I can say whatever the fuck I want to.

If it were up to me I'd destroy every drug on this planet.

doesn't really appeal to me. I mean why do it when there is a perfectly good vagina right there?
Because for you there is rarely even that.
wow really credible argument. That just shows you can't come up with good reason to justify blowjobs
I don't see why I would even have to. I don't give a shit what other people like.
that's good because i think you should kill yourself

i mean how could you expect something bad for a writing assignment? Writing is all subjective, unless you just have ass for grammar or mechanics its easy to get a good grade.
because it was the type of assignment that required at least 5 credible primary sources on a subject that i have no interest in whatsoever
jesus only 5? The last research paper i had required 20.....
