What I'm saying is that your checks and balances are retardedly unbalanced and that Congress is not held accountable for anything.
The President keeps congress in line with the power to veto. The President can also issue Executive Orders which can go into effect via the Judicial Branch. I'd say our 3 branches of government are pretty balanced. However, congress needs to enact some policies such as term limits.

And isn't congress nearly all exclusively business men? There's like no engineers, enviromentalists or full-time politicians as far as I know. I get the whole 3 pillars thing but it's drilled into us here that because of this systemy ou have, you can't shift the blame onto any one area because they can keep juggling responsibilities.
Lobbyism has corrupted congress and until it's outlawed there's not much we can do. I don't know why you would want an engineer as a senator. They have scientists and environmentalists at their disposal.

I used it as an example. ofc I don't want a whole body of decision makers to be fucking scientists. But you need some integrated there as a baseline so they don't fuck up the enviroment and shit.
That's why we have a representative democracy. We vote for senators that care about the environment.

It clearly hasn't worked for 50 years.
Environmental awareness hasn't even existed for 50 years

169 Members of the House (38% of the House) and 57 Senators (57% of the Senate), held law degrees. 19 House Representatives have doctoral (Ph.D. or D.Phil.) degrees. 22 Members of the House and 3 Senators have a medical degree

How is this relevant?
You asked if they're exclusively businessmen

They're not

They're held incredibly accountable

If they tried to pass anything unconstitutional that's where the Judicial branch steps in.

The President has the power to veto whatever he pleases and it is generally very effective.

The only thing that could really be done to congress to better the system is term limits.

The President acts as a negotiator to broker agreements between the two parties in Congress.

Teutonic and Templar orders
should i know what these things are

i keep seeing them referenced here and there
monastic orders of highly skilled knights that were deemed defenders of the Christian faith and widely used in the Crusades

The Teutonic Order was a Germanic order centered in Konigsberg

A lot of people seem to forget the Livonian Order when talking about the monastic orders, they were also fairly powerful

re-made the Teutonic and Templar orders
the Teutonic Order still exists

It's called realpolitik you casuals
Flattening a couple towns every now and then to make your enemies know you'll still kick their ass?
politics or diplomacy based primarily on considerations of power and on practical and material factors, rather than explicit ideological notions or moral or ethical premises.
Oh, I didn't think you were gonna copy paste from wikipedia

The Flood / Arabs for Trump!!!
« on: December 11, 2015, 08:30:45 PM »
Ok, so I'm an Arab American... I lived in various places in the central and northern Arabian peninsula for most of my life and became an American citizen two years ago. I feel kind of ashamed but I really only like White and Asian people here in Oregon jfyi.

Anyways... to be completely honest I LOVE the fact that Trump wants to forbid Muslims from entering America! I've seen first hand how crazy most Muslims are... yea there are plenty of average people who aren't really a threat to anyone but those are generally the ones who don't really take their religion too seriously... MOST Muslims I've seen while they may not publicly claim it are for Sharia Law and would support radicals if given the opportunity. That's just the truth of the matter, take it from someone who knows!

After living in the middle east and then coming to America I can honestly say how great it is in comparison. The culture, the people (though I HATE gangsters and hip-hop idiots), the day-to-day life, and opportunities are AMAZING! I became a software engineer in 3 years and make 90k a year!

I can honestly say I have no problem wiping most Arabs off the face of the planet. Even a lot of non-Muslim Arabs are shit-stains! Most of them are more comparable to animals than what I consider people now that I've experienced America.

Please... please... PLEASE let's get Trump elected! PLEASE! Post your memes, spread the word, talk to your friends and families!!! If America can be made better than what it is now, we have to ensure it happens!

Serious / Re: Should Lobbyism be banned?
« on: December 11, 2015, 05:27:34 PM »
But in all seriousness lobbying is about the only way for interest groups to represent their views in government. Other people lobby besides the groups you mentioned they're just the ones that get all the attention for it. Plenty of smaller interest groups lobby and wouldn't get any say in the representation of their interests were it not for lobbying.
