This reasoning doesn't make any sense.
You can't ban someone for the simple reason of "jumping on a bandwagon". But you also can't deliberately NOT ban people for jumping on a bandwagon.
What if people started posting meatspin threads for a few days? "Well, it's only a bandwagon", right?
I'm not calling for the ban of these people, but I agree with the OP that these threads are getting tiresome.
Good job taking that out of context. Bandwagoning isn't against the forum rules, porn is.

Yes, parody threads were unquestionably a bannable offense on Bungie.old. I was given 2 weeks for my first violation.
Porch day and the likes were used as trolling. I should know, I participated in them. There is a difference between making parody threads and making bandwagon threads. One is used for trolling and the other is not.

Last I remembered, the front page of the Flood looked like this.
We had a lot of posts about current events, tech stuff and gaming related news. The threads were required to generate discussion about the topic, and not just for Floodians to blog about their own lives.
Currently there is not a single thread reporting on any type of news on the front page of the Flood and there are only about 3 threads with original topics. There are no less than 8 threads asking for "honest opinion" or "AMA" about themselves. These users are using the forum as a popularity and ego boost, me me me let's talk about me.
It is alright to talk about events in your personal life, but creating threads to ask other people to talk about you just completely goes against the spirit of what the Flood used to be. The fact that the moderation team does not care about so many threads on the front page and ignores it is extremely worrying.
You're asking me to ban people for jumping on a bandwagon. Think about that for a second. I'd have to ban almost every member. Everyone jumps on some sort of bandwagon at some point. Would Recon or Duardo have banned people for this on B.net? No, because this exact same thing has happened on B.net. I enforce the Forum Rules and this doesn't constitute as breaking the rules, far from it actually. What you're asking is absolutely ridiculous.

Last I checked the Flood wasn't created for any specific purpose. That's why it's for "Off Topic" discussion. I see plenty of other threads in the feed. Go look at those. No one asked you to open the "Honest Opinion" threads so don't. Simple as that.
