The economic growth which is currently occurring, thanks to Chinese investment mainly, will definitely help them. Trade, not aid, will lead them to better infrastructure to combat all too prevalent issues like disease and poverty.

As for a federation? I doubt it very much. They'll probably have a monetary union, while will necessitate political union and - like the EU - fucking roll over and die.
The AU exists at the moment and their ultimate goal is to model the EU. Their cooperation is little at the moment however.

The Flood / Re: The meaning of life -- ANSWERED
« on: August 14, 2014, 03:35:55 AM »
How so? Only a fraction of people find the meaning of life. Most people never find it. People who live out in the woods by themselves definitely haven't.
If you're proclaiming the meaning of life then it needs to apply to everyone. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Simply the fact is that the meaning of life is and forever will be a matter of opinion. No one ever finds the meaning of life. Their definition is going to be vastly different from the next person's.

Sure, maybe .001% of people do. But the overwhelming majority of people don't. Do you wonder why that is?
This doesn't help your argument how one's worth to society is the meaning of life. If someone can live just fine without society then how is the meaning of that life dependent upon their worth to something they don't need?

Arguing something like the definite meaning of life requires extraordinary proof. If even one person can live without society then you're argument is automatically flawed. No one can proclaim such a thing. People are vastly different and constantly evolving. No one can say the meaning of life, it's different for everyone.

Humans are inherently social animals. We crave stimulation, and working with others is the only way to get that. We don't need society to survive, but we need it to live.
There are flaws in that theory. Plenty of people live without society.

Actually Walden is perfect proof of that.

This isn't about money. It's about the fact that your only measure of worth to society is what you bring to it. You could be the richest fucker on the planet, but if you're not bringing anything to the table, you're worth nothing to society.
But you start off by insinuating that the meaning of life is dependent on any kind of "value" to society. Society doesn't mean shit in the end because individuals are what make society existent. So the value of the individual to themselves is what has meaning. Plenty of people have worth without using or contributing to society. No one needs society to survive. Society is more of an imaginary entity created by people.

There's a reason why no one is responding to this autistic piece of garbage. Maybe go out and find some fucking brain cells before trying to make another thread?

Serious / What do you predict to happen to Africa in the future?
« on: August 13, 2014, 07:59:20 PM »
When I say future I mean about 50-100 years from now.

Will it continue to be a genocidal bloodbath?

Will there be some sort of unification akin to the idea of the United States of Africa?

Will there have to be international intervention to achieve any kind of peace or can they solve it themselves?

Serious / Who was your favorite Founding Father?
« on: August 13, 2014, 07:10:26 PM »
I can't make a poll for this simply because there too many Founding Fathers to list but who is your favorite?
Here's a list for reference.

I personally like Thomas Jefferson. I also think he was one of the greatest Presidents in history. He had some of the best political ideologies.

So basically who is your favorite purely based on what they're individual political ideology was because even though the Founding Fathers were fighting for the same government their ideologies varied quite a bit.

« on: August 13, 2014, 06:02:04 PM »
The thing is the main reason I'm here is to have a discussion. If there's no discussion, I'm wasting my time here.
Go read a book or something, come back after a few hours and there's bound to be plenty of new topics and posts.

« on: August 13, 2014, 05:55:41 PM »
I've been experimenting with a free service. It's a very simple app it basically converts the forum as you would view it on the mobile version of this site into an app. Tell me how you like it compared to Tapatalk. It's not published on the Google Play Store so you'll have to know how to install a third party app in order to become an official Guinea Pig.

Install link is located here. (you need to click on the link while on your phone.)

Oh yeah this is for Android users only if you couldn't tell.

Again this is just a temporary. My ultimate goal is to make my own custom app but don't expect that anytime soon.

Nah. Took you awhile to add a completely irrelevant comment to it though.

Why are you even a mod there if you are just afk all day and leave autowoot on because having more points makes you feel important?
It's not about the points.

I do not entirely understand why you care so much about numbers. You try t have more points than everyone on plug.dj, and you try to have more posts on here than anyone else. They are just numbers.
It's not about the numbers.

- We cannot downvote to skip, and properly calculate the ratio of likes and dislikes to skip if you're afk and using it.

- Mods are not on there 24/7 to actually skip certain songs, if people are there using said feature when others are present.
Not my problem.

Would you agree with that result?
I didn't think I was that free market. I like the Austrian School's way of thinking but I would rather lean towards the Chicago School's thinking.
