Basic human liberties

Out of curiosity, what are the "basic human liberties", in your opinion?
Pretty much in line with the Universal Deceleration of Human Rights

However I suppose I mean to word that as "basic personal freedom" meaning you should be able to do whatever you want as long as its not infringing upon another person's rights. You'd be surprised how many people don't seem to care about this.

Quite a few people actually, not to the extent of your views but many people are okay giving up their privacy.

Politics in general (sure there's a lot of people that care on this forum but I'm talking about IRL. I have like no one to discuss politics with)

I like that the audience is smart enough to boo these questions rigged for them to fight among one another.

Or maybe they're just sick of the last 2 (3?) debates.
The other debates weren't nearly this bad

Fox actually did the best job

Also the people proposing flat tax I highly doubt are proposing a truly flat tax. I don't think anyone reasonably does. Its more like a two tier tax system and its just conventient to call it a flat tax. Countries like Estonia and Russia have had aa fair amount of success using a flat tax
So what you're saying is they're lying like typical polititans while saying they're taking truth? No surprise there.
I wouldn't say lying. Flat tax is just a buzz word.

How could you not care about the economy?

I dunno. I just don't.

I get it's significance in our culture or whatever, I just don't find it to be nearly as important as other aspects of our culture. Specifically referring to politics, I'm more concerned with social issues and such.
Its got nothing to do with culture

It effects your and the entire world's daily life. Economic issues will always be more important than social issues.

They could work if implemented correctly

Wow guys I know how we control government spending, we limit the government back to its original two purposes. Defending the country from invaders and paving my roads. Simple as that.
