Kind of. Especially when it comes to political parties. There isn't a single party within the UK that I could 100% rally behind.
U W0T M8?

Septagon / Re: What about an IDEA forum?
« on: September 26, 2014, 12:51:48 PM »
No.

This forum will eventually become Community, to promote discussion of the forum and site in general, but an idea forum would be barren. Use the Flood.
On the topic of new forums, there should be a permanent NSFW forum, and all NSFW content should be banned from all other forums (except anarchy obviously). The Tapatalk app doesn't actually hide spoilers, and I like to use it in public.
Or we could just make NSFW completely against the rules like we had at first.

Serious / Re: Should the District of Columbia become a State?
« on: September 26, 2014, 12:36:55 PM »
DC should never be a state

Does it not disenfranchise the eligible voters who live there?
Well put it this way. Do you want one state to be in control of the nation's capital?

That's why it wasn't made part of Virginia or Maryland.

No one said they have to live there

Sounds like an argument used during the Jim Crow era. Not linking you to being a racist or that it's the same thing, but the argument of "Don't like it? Move" is extremely childish. You can't just pack up, quit your job, and move at a whim's notice.
You're the one that chose to live there, its your problem. People need to learn this thing called being responsible for their actions.
So kids born there chose to live there?
Last time I checked the topic of this discussion was about people living in DC being able to vote. Also last I checked kids can't vote. I fail to see the relevance of your question.
A great many people ages 18+ live at home and can't move yet. Plenty of 18 year olds haven't even graduated high school yet.
And they all have the ability to move out on their own. If they're stupid or lazy that's their fault. They have the same capabilities to move out on their own as a 40 year old person. Once again no one is forcing them to live there.
