Camnator, I thought you once stated that you don't disagree that marijuana could affect mental growth in adolescents who routinely smoke it.

No, I have said we simply don't know, and it's never been properly observed. If anything all evidence shows there being no negative nor benefit, really. I do advise against giving children any drug including caffeine.

Shut up Dingo
So where's your warning?
I'm guessing it's not something you can get in trouble for saying anymore.
I love how shit just changes arbitrarily and something that gets you a 10% warning isnt against the rules anymore. :^)

I could tell you some stories.

This was debunked long ago. It can trigger mental illnesses that already exist, but it certainly won't cause any.
care to provide a source?

Literally anything can trigger mental illnesses when a person is predisposed of having one.

That really doesn't debunk anything that was stated in the OP.

Also, using two year old studies to "debunk" recent findings from not even 2 months ago? That's not terribly convincing.

No, these weren't recent findings, just rehashed ones form the same ones that have debunked countless times now. There are plenty of other sources. I'm not sure why anyone would trust the same propaganda spread by corrupt people looking to profit from infringing upon us. They constantly lie and have been proven to lie.

Summary

Based on the current scientific research, there is no definitively proven "safe" way of inhaling marijuana (smoke or vapor).
Inhaling marijuana smoke in the long-term is likely to result in damage to the respiratory tract.
Smoking both marijuana and tobacco increases the risk of damage from both substances.
While marijuana smoke contains carcinogens, research about the association between marijuana smoking and cancer is limited and conflicting. The same is true for other lung-related diseases.
Marijuana smoking does appear to increase cough, sputum production, airway inflammation, and wheeze.
Using a water pipe or bong does nothing to reduce exposure to tar and carcinogens in marijuana smoke; using a vaporizer may reduce the harm associated with smoking marijuana, however vaporizers may carry their own risks and more research is needed.
Oral administration of marijuana (“edibles”) is one way to eradicate the risk of marijuana smoke on the lungs, but carries with it its own challenges.

Vaporizing is completely safe.
The damage to the lungs from smoked cannabis is insignificant and easily reversible and avoided.
Cannabis cures cancer.
What challenges do edibles have?

Eating marijuana ("edibles") is perhaps a more obvious means to reduce the respiratory effects when using the drug. Oral administration carries its own challenges, however, as it typically takes longer for the effects of the drug to appear (30–60 minutes compared to seconds), making it more difficult to monitor dose and increasing the risk of overdose. Additionally, the effects last longer than some users prefer (Grotenhermen, 2001). That said, overdosing on marijuana is rare and most likely to happen to naïve users. A marijuana overdose can trigger acute anxiety or panic, increased heart rate, low blood pressure, and additional problems. - See more at: http://adai.uw.edu/marijuana/factsheets/respiratoryeffects.htm#sthash.AWh86UQM.FvJlvjV3.dpuf

Exactly, those aren't challenges. It's called common sense.

This is exactly why it should be legalised.
Social darwinism?
. . .

No, because you can fucking regulate it when it's legal.
also you can make a metric shitload of money with hemp (as well as recreational pot)

america's agricultural states could really benefit from legalization

I could be here all day explaining why all drugs should be legal. I can't believe it has taken us this long to finally start turning it around for cannabis.

If you're going to let trivial things like that keep you from smoking dank weed you don't deserve to live.
I...didn't say that?
I don't know man I'm getting a pretty strong anti dank vibe here.
I'm mostly in favor of legalizing marijuana across the board. My only hang-up is there's no reliable field test for marijuana use if you get pulled over or something. With alcohol, it effects most people in a similar manner, and on a relatively linear and predictable scale. The same doesn't happen with marijuana use. Once we have something reliable, I'm all for it.

I have no beef with people who want to smoke weed. Many of my friends do. I've done it a handful of times, but I just don't like the feeling of being high.

Completely false, and why would it matter if we can detect how much cannabis someone is on?

Serious / Re: Long-term consequences of adolescent cannabis use

I don't care if weed gave me cancer, I'd still smoke it.
it can give you lung cancer

anything you smoke can

but who cares we're all gonna die anyway might as well have some fun before then

Not true. No one has ever gotten cancer from cannabis. And it actually cures it.
