Serious / Re: Which is the stupidest thing to deny?

The holocaust. We're just as likely to be in the warm period of an ice age. You should have used the term climate change which is always happening and overwhelmingly driven by the sun.

If we don't kill ourselves as a species first. The elites of this world will do everything they can to deny us free energy. If we achieved nuclear fusion the world would drastically improve.

I agree that the government should have been maintaining those roads in the first place. Just putting forth why having unqualified people do it could be a risk.

Agreed, but blatantly government is not qualified people. Last year people were whining that Apple only paid $6 BILLION in taxes as if that wasn't enough. With that money they could have easily built and maintained roads for their customers to travel to their businesses a hundred times over. I also love the hypocrisy when people go, "If you don't like taxes you can get out!" And as soon as Burger King goes, "Fine, we'll move our headquarters to Canada so we're not robbed as much," people scream, "YOU DARN TERRORISTS!"

There have been more books, research and philosophical works on the legitimacy and origins of governments than this entire forum combined could read in a lifetime. I personally believe in the idea behind a government and taxes in order to sustain a civilized society, but I have no interest in a lengthy philosophical discussion that won't go anywhere.

Oh, government can be legitimate, just not while committing crimes such as theft. Taxation is not necessarily always theft, unless that taxation is taken against the will of the people such as an income tax. That is theft by definition. Ironically, governments tend to only harm civilization.

HAHA! It's almst as funny as the time Foman told me in all seriousness he imagined the Reach statue would be worth $250 a few years after release, and at one point I saw it on Ebay for $12 around two years after the game came out.

Aso, if the main argument from people is the fact the city may somehow be sued for an accident, first you'd have to prove the repaired road was the fault of the accident, but even still, isn't an accident MORE likely with messed up roads? Therefor increasing the chance of a lawsuit? Doesn't help at all.

]I'm not even going to bother with this again. Like I said before, there is no point in discussing specifics when there's no agreement or common ground on the fundamentals.

You can't agree that taking something that isn't yours by the threat of kidnapping, caging or murdering is wrong? It would be right of me to rob someone with a gun as long as I gave the money to a charity? So long as eight out of ten people granted me permission? I thought stealing was fundamentally wrong.

And the roads they fixed were also torn back up.
That only makes sense though. Roads and public infrastructure are a governmental responsibility and competence. There are certain rules and standards that have to be met to assure safety and structural integrity. The government could get in a lot of legal trouble if they'd have public roads that were made by unqualified people.

But the government proved they are incompetent and irresponsible at handling the roads. It only makes sense to save money by getting rid of them. Infrastructure isn't even a government responsibility, it's an excuse to rob people through theft otherwise called "taxes." Funny, for anyone else it would be robbery and prison sentences would be handed out.

I was waiting for OP to post something worthwhile and forgot about the thread.

Just admit you were distracted with booty.

It's always easier to blame your own faults on others rather than just relying on yourself. Nah, people would rather be dependent.

Yup, you're not allowed to touch roads for repair unless you're a state employee on a job to do so.

Governments hate when you make them out to be incompetent.

That article is biased, however. It doesn't explain why they want to un-do the repairs.

Literally all sites are.

And the roads they fixed were also torn back up. But without government, who would ignore the roads?

3262
After making something illegal legal, there were less arrests and problems related to it? What a shock, somebody stab me I think I'm dreaming.

You could never overdose on cannabis. Of course there will be less problems, prohibition is a massive failure that harms us all. There were also less traffic accidents in Washington and Colorado as adults have access to a safer alternative over alcohol. It's apparent alcohol prohibition only made things a lot worse.

No joke, cannabis has cured all of my head aches literally after 15 seconds after taking one hit.
That's because it completely destroyed your brain.

False, it heals and protects the brain.

Like booty can.
