And I'll be sat here, waiting for you to provide evidence for the worthlessness of the U.S. dollar.

And I swear to God, if you post Peter Schiff. . .

Easy

http://www.usdebtclock.org/

Not to mention the debt is most likely a LOT higher than that since the government borrows so secretively from so many sources. We still owe debts for World War I over 100 years ago.

Maybe they just don't want to sell as much to us because they know our money is no good.
What?

You forgot to take your Marinol for that lobotomy today?
You're confusing a supply-side issue for a demand-side one.

False, your sources are simply unreliable.

George Bush is looking good in that picture.

In all honesty, though, they should both be in prison for life.

Do you know anybody like this? I know a girl in my form class, and it pisses me the fuck off to no end. We once got into an argument about the legalisation of drugs and she thought she'd won by dismissing the idea and saying "do you have any idea what a person on cocaine is like?"

HAHAHA! I bet she'd blow up if you told her prohibition only made cocaine stronger and more available to children.

Both are Vizio.

Larger one is 1080p 120hz.

Maybe it has to do with me sitting so close to my 28 inch? Being in a dorm, there's not much room to move back.

I'm wondering, could you hook up a laptop to it and play some of those IGN Halo videos to test it out?

Are you used to a bigger television?
Yes. Before college I played on a 60in TV from about 6.5ft. away.

Hmm, what kind of television? Is it junk? I notice 60fps just fine on my 17" monitor, and 720p 60fps is definitely noticeable, while 60fps at 480p is sometimes not worth it. Almost all televisions are 60hz, so that has nothing to do with it.

You should be able to see 60fps fine, but you might as well slap the Xbox One settings on 720p.

You're in support of stimulus packages?
I would've been in the 1930s.

I'm much more of a monetarist than a fiscalist, although I'm not at all opposed to government investment.

To clarify: stimulus is effective only marginally, but it still "works".

Just like breaking windows does create business for window installers.

I became vagetarian after I realized the unjust taking of a life is wrong. I grow a lot of my own food as well, and hemp easily has everything the body needs. Being a vegan is pretty dang unhealthy, though.

Talk to majority of Americans who don't read into things. They would have thought the government was fully shutdown. Yet those same people still kept on with their daily lives. What really showed is that people are capable of making rational decisions and not go primitive; no anarchy, no riots, none of that. People can live without a strong central government, and a strong central government is a huge evil

Agree. Anarchy has never been attempted in a developed and informed society, other than that one nation that went about 450 days without a government and saw no change at all. Hell, towns in Mexico have drastically imrpoved by kicking out corrupt governments.

So when the government was Partially shutdown, people were roaming the streets yelling anarchy and making the LA riots look like a walk in the part, huh? State and local governments would still be fully operational

Let me fix that for you.

A total lack of any central would create absolute chaos.

And people should be that central.

You kinda should, but it's rather a bit late for that.

Your grandparents/parents scared the shit outta them in the 60's with their hippy freelove drug protesting, so the government invested in military grade armoured personnel carriers and riot gear for your police.

Personally, if you want to seriously have a revolution, the window of opportunity has already shut and all your gonna get now is a jail sentence and further oppression based on your constitution your government is supposedly supposed to follow.

This opinion is certainly going to put me on some sort of TSA-flight blacklist, isn't it?

True, the DHS have stocked up on ammunition and tanks.

This whole thread is just prime NSA bait.

Why do you think I'm dodging around the questions and not being totally anti-government?  Obama will enact the NDAA and detain me forever in Guantanamo while dragging my family out in the middle of the night to shoot them in the middle of the streets.
*This is what libertarians really believe*

Almost sounds like our mpolice force, but it failed to acknowledge the officer getting a paid vacation and costing the taxpayers millions awarded to the family.

Why do you care that they care?

Because I am interested in the way the human mind works.

Now, DemonicChronic, I hereby judge you to the charge of being human when we could have been GODS! Guilty.

2245
Why do you care that they care? Is this a paradox? Is the very existence of space-time as we understand it coming to an abrupt halt? Will we transcend to a higher being or conscious? Does this thread make us gods?

GODS! PRAISE ODIN!

Lord Odin and lady Freya, We give our greetings to thee. Please Bless this bounty set here before us And enjoy this good food with us As we do enjoy it. Hail and love to Thee.

Serious / Re: Why are you against the legalization of medical cannabis?
« on: November 02, 2014, 06:17:28 AM »
But what Rinev said is that you shouldn't smoke weed during break, because it can affect your judgement.  It can make your reaction times slower.

I was talking about cigarettes, and for many people cannabis doesn't impair their judgement or reaction time. For some people it improves it immensely. That's why I don't give one iota of a care what you do on your personal time as long as you're getting your job done. You could do some heroin in the back for all I care. The moment you can't handle the job you need to be held accountable. And as I mentioned earlier, not all cannabis even gets you high at all. Hell, and with that argument you better not let anyone drink soda at work. Caffeine does WONDERS to your body, reaction time and even judgement.

I'd also like to state cannabis simply makes eating more relaxing, it's not going to cause you to eat more necessarily, although for some it does. I actually lost 95 pounds after I began using cannabis. Basically, if you're a fat lazy slob before cannabis you will likely remain one after using, if you're responsible and healthy before cannabis, you will most likely remain that way.

1. "you live under an imaginary threat of the NDAA" And don't tell me you weren't making an implication.

2. The supreme court is often incorrect about the Constitution, that's the entire point of the second amendment. Sometimes the corruption becomes so severe there is no "legal" means of restoring it. The game is beyond broken.

3. Many of them are still there despite never being charged with a crime, the point still stands the NDAA is abominable and unlawful.

4. Drones aren't all that common or reliable, and it would still take time, far likely too much time to get them active and organized here. Not to mention the fuel and maintenance concerns.

5. You mean when our debt hit $17.9 TRILLION last week? Ya, sign of such a strong economy. The phony illusion that it's "improving" due to excessive borrowing with no intention of paying our debts, increased theft under the name "taxes" and excessively wasteful and counterproductive regulations give a short term disguise of things improving when in reality it only delays and makes the problem worse.

6. I'm more than willing to participate in a revolution, which is why I often encourage one. I can't do it all on my own.

"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty. "

"Do not be too severe upon the errors of the people, but reclaim them by enlightening them."
-Thomas Jefferson

I also recall you saying something about republicans, I hope you're not democrat and saying that, as both of those parties have become the exact same and are equally awful.

7. Anwar Al-Awlaki, an American never charged with a crime, never given a trial or due-process of law required under the Constitution, his son and son's friend al murdered by the president's executive order. Of course George Bush is clearly a murderer as well, but he never DIRECTLY caused the deaths of Americans as Barack has done. Not even Hitler claimed such an authority. George and Barack are both criminals that should be in prison for life. Let's you know how big of a joke this country has become. Too many people are lazy, naive or just don't care. It's why a revolution has been so delayed. At the time of the first revolution only 1/3 of people supported the war, and it amazes me to this day they achieved it with such shockingly low support.

Blatant tyranny.  Can you still hold onto your guns?  Can you still pray to whatever God you desire?  Can you be allowed to protest against the government in the open?  Can you love who you wish?  Can you go to work without Obama blaring today's scheduling into your ear?

Do you realize the government deprives people or these rights and freedoms every day? That's exactly WHY they are tyrannical, that and MANY other reasons. The fact you think it's not directly influencing you, which it is by the way, is irrelevant. They have stolen from you on the simple basis of how they participate in the economy, forget about income tax.  The tyranny is here, you're just blind to it.

I think it should be a combination of tabacoo laws and alcohol laws. I'd rather not want to have someone go out for a smoke break and come back high. Especially since we work around knives and other things that can kill you. Same with driving.

I think you should be judged by your work and not what happens to be in your body. If you're incompetent and irresponsible you should be fired. Just like I would have fired all of the people on my old construction people that took cigarette breaks every 15 minutes wasting all of that time.
But if its in their system they could have impaired judgment.

And if their judgement is impaired that wouldn't matter, as they would be held accountable regardless.

How the hell does taking a smoke break every 15 minutes (you could legally fire them btw, I wouldn't cry about it) equate to smoking a joint and coming back to work high as a satellite?

By making the person far less of a value than I was. They'd be out smoking for five dang minutes while I'm doing all of the work. Not everyone that uses cannabis gets ridiculously high, or even high at all. My question is if they are doing their job well, whose business is it what they've done in their own personally allotted time?
