Serious / Re: Does the Constitution truly give a Right of Privacy?

NDAA
I know you think we can govern ourselves without...a government...but why do you want to rip out the law that defines the budget of the military?

Because it gives the governemnt the phony authority to kidnap and murder people without proof or due process.
So now we're not allowed to go to war with anyone? Because that involves kidnapping and murder.

No, it does not. A war is supposed to be a justified combat in self-defense only, and yes, you can still murder innocent people during wartime.

She's ugly because she has no booty. As a lesbian this disgusts me.

Camnator, if you truly identify as a female now, I congratulate you on finally accepting yourself.

However, because this is likely you continuing to dwarf the forums, we ask that you cut it out, as it is demeaning to several users who have already voiced their complaints.

What are you talking about? How is this demeaning? I ask you to warn them against making phony complaints. I absolutely will not "cut out" what I am, how dare you ask something like that of me. Leave me the hell alone and stop attacking me.

Before the Constitution: Just a signed peace of paper declaring a general warrant that can be used on anybody

After Constitution: Signed document that states probable cause, the individual, location to be searched, and specific item to be searched

So yes, the Constitution has given us a true right to privacy because a person that hasn't broken the law can't be subjected to a search

If only we abolished the dang PATRIOT Act and NDAA, and government entirely.

Do people not consider background checks and registration "gun control"?

Can I only support gun rights if I support unregulated access to any and all firearms?
No, fuck registration.

It is only proposed by anti-gunners so that confiscation will be easier.

Not one fucking inch.
Until the EPA comes knocking on my door for my car, the ATF isn't gonna be doing that anytime soon.

Vehicles aren't a threat to tyranny, and they get their theft from vehicles. An armed populace does threaten a corrupt government.

Gun control prevents minorities from protecting themselves in areas of high crime, where they do tend to live
That's not racist, that's just unfortunate.

I'm not even that big on gun control; it's more of a cultural issue for America to me, and if I had my way I'd actually reverse the ban on assault weapons because you're essentially correct. Handguns are where the crime is, and even then they're most often illegally obtained.

But, please, for the love of God, don't play the fucking race card.

Agreed race isn't relevant, but his comparison to discrimination of race is still valid.

Discrimination against this semi-automatic sporting rifle is no different than the discrimination of blacks less than a century ago.

Well, he has a point. Any infringement upon a freedom is equally bad.

Studies have been conducted that showed the assault weapons ban didn't have any impact on crime and crime rates.
Hence why you shouldn't stop at assault weapons.
Assault weapons are not even real; they are made up concepts to incite fear mongering and discrimination amongst gun owners. Discrimination against this semi-automatic sporting rifle is no different than the discrimination of blacks less than a century ago. Both establish a falsified idea that both are dangerous and evil, when they are not

But muh emotions and irrational paranoid fears

CHILDREN HAVE DIED!

This is why people shouldn't make laws.

I guess we should regulate your speech, too. Seriously, I'd be against even regulation your ridiculous speech. No one has to ask the government permission to exercise a natural right. They're the main reason we have a second amendment, to keep them under control. They're the LAST people that should have anything to do with firearms. Besides, they gave firearms to known murderers that lead to the deaths of Americans. They've been proven to be irrsponsible, so why do you support them having firearms, or police?

1128
Those "dozens" are those who support the government intruding on a person's trip to the doctor. People disagreeing with me who support something I don't agree with is far from proving me wrong

Now that sounds like the truth.

And I'm not even going to get into the debate of the Obamacare Shutdown of 2013, because dozens of us have told you why you were wrong on that issue.

Something tells me that is far from the truth.

Not at all.

Oh, so Kinder thought Obamacare was a just and good thing? That's a bit out of his character.

we can address student loans later
...says the guy who has no student loans and goes to a cheap-ass school.

You know how to make schools really cheap? Get the incompetent government OUT completely. They're the reason it's so expensive.

And aren't Democrats the ones who place the blame on Republicans for last years shutdown, yet here's two prominent  Democrats advocating for another shutdown?

There is a difference between...

A.) Shutting down the government over unnecessary additions to the bill (Including gutting campaign finance rules ahead of fundraising for the 2016 election), and cutting down on student loans.
B.) Shutting down the government because you didn't get the judicial ruling you wanted.

Something running at 85% isn't "shutdown." Also, unjust legislation SHOULD lead to a corrupted incompetent entity being shutdown.

Not really.

Tell that to the framers of this country.

I want to care. I really do. But they pull this shit all the time and it's tough to keep giving a shit...

Eh. I just try to think of the thousands that would lose pay for the time period of the shutdown.

Oh no! We'd get robbed from less and they'd have to get legitimate jobs! AHHHHHHHHHH!

If only it would actually shut down, permanently.
