One time I bought a few (different) shirts off the Bungie store.
took 3 weeks to get here and all the shirts were the same one. It was exhausting.

I looked through the whole thread and I wasn't even mentioned once.

Without even looking at the thread, I'm just going to assume that everyone here ignored me.
Even the ones that talk with me regularly.

Not that I'd ever buy another call of duty game in my life, but I don't know if I could go back to World War 2 in video games.
I've been spoiled by all the various tacticool assault rifles of modern warfare.
A FPS with bare bone ironsights would feel incredibly dated to me.

We'll be in a dark age due to the resource wars of 2077 that will destroy the world by culminating into an all-out nuclear war.
The west coast was at prewar levels of societal cohesion within 80 years. 500 years and it would be like nuclear annihilation never happened.

I don't know.
I don't really talk to people in person anymore.

It seems I've gone back in time a few minutes.
And to an entirely different forum, Oh my!

As a recent Iron Banner Veteran:
Literally every single thing in Destiny. There are so many one shot kill bullshit things in Destiny multiplayer it's ridiculous.
It's by far the most unfair, frustrating, unbalanced competitive mode I've played in my life.
How about dem damage sponge-insta kill bosses? Don't ya love how they didn't give you a movement system to avoid their shit so that you just go down over and over again and go, "Oh jeez, this guy sure is tough!"
No, I'm talking about strictly multiplayer encounters. Destiny comes in two flavors you see. In PvE you're an unstoppable avatar of war with enough firepower to flatten mountain ranges. In PvP you're a *scared grunt with weak weapons and cardboard armor. *Except when you're not and your super kills everyone on the enemy team in one hit.

Australians live in cities. Everything else lives in the bush. We fear nothing except the sea.
That's what you have the Kaiju Wall for.
What good is a Kaiju Wall when all the yobbo's just climb over it for a swim. To be honest, the sea is probably more scared of us than we are of it.
That's what you have recently decommissioned Mechs for.

Well, there's viscosity throughout the gel layer.

And I had thought that had fallen on deaf ears.

I know a lot of you are disappointed, but it has me intrigued. What could there possibly be about the Master Chief that we don't know at this point? I wonder how 343's going to pull this off, whatever their intention is. Watch it have to do with whatever the Librarian did to him. I just hope they don't do something stupid and predictable... lol Cheef is tah enemy now. He was under control of the gravemind the whole time lolz
maybe he actually has betrayed them
If 343 actually pursues that direction then I'll really be at a loss. Master Chief has dedicated his entire life to the UNSC.

To be fair, the only reason John is relevant at all is because he's needed to carry Cortana from place to place. If she could move from system to system on her own, she could have won every confrontation in every game on her own with about a tenth of the casualties.
Which begs the question: Why doesn't the UNSC utilize autonomous AI attack platforms?
Are 26th century Commanders still afraid of self aware robots, or are AI too expensive to risk being destroyed in the field?
I guess robotic units would complicate the Cole Protocol.
Same here. The only thing they have to do is make battle droids like the ones in Star Wars. For controlling them have ships that are linked to them.
I don't like the idea of mass produced networked units. Too many vulnerabilities. Better have a few exceptional veterans than a majority of mediocre combatants. A way around this would be to slave Dumb AI to frontline vehicular roles, and dedicate purpose built smart AI into smaller more nimbler platforms.

Gaming, across a wide array of definitions is failing to innovate.
It is a very homogeneous industry.

I wish there were dog sized spiders.
Or spider shaped dogs.
taking "barking spiders" to a whole new level.
Wow, you didn't go immediately to Wolf Spiders. Good on you, Comet.
