This happened in Rick and Morty as well.
There is a video game cabinet at Blitz N Chitz on the temporal asteroid where you control a man named Roy and live out his whole life with the accompanying memories when you beat it.

Jason Bright isn't real.
Your kind never believed in the promise of the Great Journey, Arbiter.

A tactical nuke has detonated in their AO so they're determining if they're inside the hazardous radiation zone by measuring the mushroom cloud with an outstretched thumb.

My favorite color is deep blue.
There's a majesty in that color.

I could guess that movie would be terrible from the very moment I learned it existed.
However, it takes itself way too seriously, so you end up with a pathetically boring movie that has no value even ironically.

I hate the Cars movies so god damn much.
Must be the retard division of Pixar that keeps making them, since every other move that comes out of that studio is brilliant.

There are some extremely clever level designs all over Half life 2. And it's very atmospheric to boot.

I had an issue where I impregnated every woman in my vault and when they all finally gave birth my vault collapsed because I couldn't support the expanded population.

Oh, my dad isn't in the picture, so I don't know what that's like. Does it kind of feel like an [insert drama here] moment when they yell at each other? For some reason this show is one of the only shows where I'm interested in seeing how crazy sci-fi shenanigans affects mundane day-to-day stuff. And when the hell are we seeing baby Ct'thulhu being kidnapped?
Rick and Morty is great scifi. I know it's supposed to be ridiculous and funny, but some of the concepts they touch on is real science. It really is a unique show.
