D2 is very tough, I've owned alot of S30V blades, so I'm used to them. It's a nice overall middle ground.
Aus8 also isn't bad, while it is kinda soft its great to sharpen but the edge retention is a bit off. cold steel and SOG make some really wicked blades with the stuff
