The Flood / Re: Have you ever had a lucid dream?
« on: September 08, 2014, 01:42:05 AM »

I suffered from sleep paralysis after having a boring, lucid dream.
I once had sleep paralysis when I was sleeping on top of my bunk bed. I woke up, looked over the edge of my bunk bed, and there was thing weird pale humanoid creature similar to The Rake that was climbing up the ladder of my bed. I tried to get out of the bed but my body wasn't letting me do anything. I just watched the thing get closer and closer to me as I freaked the fuck out.

Then I woke up.
That sounds like it would've sucked....
Holy shit that freaks me out.
When I lucid dream, it's like my brain is trying to kick me out of the dream constantly. There's a strange "pull" I feel in my gut when I'm about to wake up, but I can somehow fight it by thinking about nothing...

But this one time, the opposite happened; my brain didn't want me to wake up. I kept waking up and getting out of bed over and over again, but I was never actually awake... I finally got up and waked into the kitchen and opened my eyes once I arrived, and I was actually awake.
That sounds like a trip.
Ha... Yeah... I had a dream where I was having an issue with my car, and I can work on my car pretty well, but I couldn't figure out what the problem was. (I wasn't aware I was dreaming here.) I took my car to some repair shop, and the mechanic started to tell me a bunch stuff about my car problems that sounded like complete bullshit to me. It turns out, that in real life, I didn't know how to fix this one problem with the car, and my brain was basically making up stuff for me and trying to get me to buy into it. Then for some reason, I figured out that I was dreaming, and then proceed to fly the fuck away as usual. I woke up laughing the next morning.

Yeah. I'm actually "good" at lucid dreaming. For some reason I check in my dreams to see if I can push my hand through my other hand, and if it goes through, then I'm dreaming.

90% of the time when I'm dreaming and I know it, I fly around like a tard. And for some reason there's always a black cat in my dreams. Just like a stray cat roaming around. It's weird.
Oh, so your that guy! I guess I join your brain's server?!

Whenever I dream of flying it's less of a "zoom" and more of a DoDo plane from GTA III; the air is basically water and I have to swim through it, getting nowhere very fast at all.
Hmmm... That must have to do with your brain trying to simulate flight, but the closest thing it knows to flight is swimming? Flight in my dreams feels like controlling a modern roller-coaster, because I've ridden hundreds and my brain simulates the g-forces. At least this is all my theory. It's extremely hard for me to think critically when I'm dreaming; my brain doesn't like me being smart when I dream for some reason or it kicks me out of the dream. Like I've had a dream where I was fighting zombies with an airsoft gun, realized airsoft guns won't do anything, then realized it was a dream, and then... when I was trying to give myself real weapons, it kicked me out of the dream and I woke up at like 5 in the morning.
