Let's open our borders and let all who want in, to come in. They don't have to learn our language, our laws and let's give them a head start compared to natives. Oh and since they are not being screened, they can bring whatever disease they are carrying with them. From the polio to ebola and beyond!

Too bad I already sold the game. The odds of this game getting interesting from DLC this year are incredibly low.

I personally think we are in the era of Open-World Sandboxes.

I own the sun. Now pay the tax for using it

That woman was ridiculous
I agree and that is why I sued her. I won the rights to be the new owner of the sun.

Other times.. I feel like I'm in a interactive movie because the characters around me are either poorly scripted or poorly made.

Stuff like this is why I love Philosophy.
That isn't what philosophy is, that's just day dreaming.
I thought day dreaming is where you are sitting still and not interacting with the world around you? When I feel that way, I'm still doing my daily activities.

Meanwhile.. in the same location.. cost of all goods/living goes up $5 more dollars. I know.. Let's raise it some more!
Not true.
Do tell

What people fail to realize is that raising the minimum wage on a local scale usually boosts the local economy...if that wage stays isolated to that locale (i.e. the cities surrounding the area don't raise theirs).

Problems with raising the minimum wage come into play when it's raised on a state or national level.
So then tourists who come from poorer areas will have less buying power? Awesome!

The Flood / Re: When will you die?
« on: October 07, 2014, 09:22:21 AM »
You have 45 years left to live.
You will die in 2059 at age 68.
You are behind the average lifespan for someone your age by 8 years.
To put it another way, you have the health of a 31 year old man.
You have lived 34% of your life already.

Seems legit. Who wants to live in a world still plagued with morons?

I'm 23 by the way

"Value" isn't a real thing either. Gold is just a metal, gems are just rocks, there's no real way some arbitrary amount of them are equivalent to some amount of food or other completely different material.

It's all just convenience born out of the fact that bartering is a pain in the ass.
I'll trade you my first born son for that beastly gaming PC of yours ; ).. Essentially what the old bartering days would be like.

What annoys me is that white folk can walk into supermarkets with fracking rifles and no one gives a shit

I don't care what ethnic background you are. If you are minding your own business and packing, cool. I actually told a mother of two who was packing, "Thanks for supporting the 2nd Amendment." I'd only get nervous if they are constantly touching their holstered/slung weapon as if they were getting ready to whip it out when its not needed.

People who've never grown up around firearms are just scared because they didn't learn the respect that comes with them.

Sometimes I feel like my mind is playing the most realalstic, hard core (One life remaining) video game in existance.

Other times.. I feel like I'm in a interactive movie because the characters around me are either poorly scripted or poorly made.

I still go about my day, doing my daily activities, so I'm not sitting still day dreaming.

A PC can do far more than just gaming. But there is only so much you can do with a console, so the experience is limited. If you ask me, the superior experience is the one with the most options
