By the way.. when I got up this morning.. 40,000 people were playing Skyrim on Steam. Right now, there is 24,000.. Yeah.. pretty sure its a good game when it is still this alive.
Check CoDs stats too, while you're at it.
CoD followers are like Apple followers. Blind. Same experience over and over
Same goes for Skyrim.

Considering most people only play single player games for about a month before rarely touching them again yes people will be just paying $30 for their $60 games.

I know I'd abuse the frack out of a system like that and I'd rather keep the deep discount sale system we currently have. At least that way devs get all the money for their games and Valve doesn't have an incentive to bully devs any more than they already do.
Skyrim is single-player and people are still playing the crap out of it. If the Developers don't want to lose out. Either make a great single-player or make the game cheaper and then that option would not be offered to the customer. I meant to say that the offer would only be for $50-$60 games.

So much ignorant hate towards Skyrim.
Not quite, I bought the game.
I know why it's shit.
Do tell?
Quests are all the same.
Story is shit.
Dungeons are a grind.
Combat is boring.
Magic is boring.
Characters are boring with few exceptions.
The only thing the game has going for it is that it's pretty and big.

-Quests are the same? They have generic kill this and that. But they have puzzles and plot twist quests. Not the same

-Story is alright. More of an opinion on this one.

-What else are Dungeons for? Having a party?

-Combat is a little plain, mods can spice it up

-Magic is a little too simple. Mods can complicate things up

-Characters are a little plain. Mods can do the trick to mix it up better

Oh hey look, now all those single player games are essentially only $30 and only 20 of which will actually go to the developer.

This is super easy to abuse and will only end up hurting devs.
That's why I said this option is up to developers who charge $40 or less for their game.

Still super easy to abuse as every game that does it is pretty much 50% off all the time and it still does nothing but hurt devs.
What if the re-sell doesn't apply for discounted version of the game?

I'm saying that any game that chooses to partake in this has basically just slapped a permanent 50% off sign on their game.

The whole no used games/no resells is kind of why we have these giant 75-90% off sales every weekend and even bigger ones during various times of the year.

I'd rather have frequent deep discount sales than used games.
No, no. The re-sell games go back to the Developers. Not another player. You are getting back only half of what you paid for and you lose the game in your Library.

More proof Steam is for peasants.
Would a peasant spend over $2,000 for one of those titan things? I seen an image where some guy has 4. Also GameStop sells games for around $1...

If they can spend that much than why is OP bitching over $60.
It wasn't bitching. But.. That $2,000 grand PC is a one time purchase. A lot of money yes.. but if I buy a game for $60 and hate it after a week.. I want to be reimbursed in someway.

A $60 game should be at least a month's worth of entertainment.

$60 is just like 24 hours of entertainment IMO.
Not for me man.

I have 240 hours logged on Space Engineers and that's only a $20. I got WAY more value out of that than I did with ACM that I paid $60 for. And that was considered a complete game, while Space Engineers still isn't finished.

$60 is a lot to just throw out for me.

And this is proof that PC players are easily impressed by shit Indie games and are too poor to buy new AAA games at full price.

Are you kidding me. Some of these massive AAA games have the most shallow, cookie cutter experiences ever. And they have DLC attached to try and complete and incomplete experience.

A peasant could not afford to purchase a GOOD gaming PC, now could they? Look.. console games can be re-sold and the developers don't get a dime in return. This method, they still make some money and the customer gets satisfied. When GameStop sells a used game for $40.. they get all that money.

Gaming / I thought of a legit way Valve could let us re-sell a game
« on: October 19, 2014, 03:58:34 PM »
Say we purchased a $60 game. We played it for a week, but by then we found we did not enjoy the experience. What if we were given a one month peroid on the day of purchase, to re-sell the game back to the developers? The catch? You can only get back HALF of what you purchased for it. So you would get $30 back, but Steam takes $10 of YOUR return for themselves as a transaction fee. (Plus it helps Steam out more too)

This re-sell ability would be up to the developers IF the game isn't a whomping $50-60 brand new.

If a game is good enough, you'll play it more than a single week or month anyways. By then, you'd lose that ability and how could this hurt? It's almost a win/win for everyone.

I was bummed that Aliens: Colonial Marines stole my $60.. I'd have been happy to get $20 back from it no problem.

Thoughts?

Yes, but only Life in Prison, prisoners are able to participate. If they win, they are set free. Would be the best sport to watch.

I can't decided between California and New York. California for their stupid laws and causing their stupidity to drain out to other states. New York is where a lot of the rich ass holes live and where the most corrupt people are located as well. TOUGH!

It's better than Shitrim.
I never finished Oblivion either though. Haha. The mods I have no have really made the game more challenging. I have things such as Frostfall, disabled Fast Travel, Character Class overhaul, etc.

No. The Federal Reserve created the Recession.

Did you ever see the movie "Too Big to Fail"?

How did we lower our 17 Trillion deficit below the.. what was it? less than 1 trillion deficit?

National debt =/= budget deficit. The budget deficit is just for this year's budget.
I don't care.. Just because we are not loaning out as much or as fast doesn't help.. It has to reverse to do any good.

Naruto had a crap ton of filler episodes.. I had to have skipped about 80 or more. Now Naruto Shippuden.. that has kept my interest going. Each episodes continues the story.. It doesn't branch off to some retarded side story.. However, I REALLY do NOT like the boner Naruto has for Sasuke (Or however you spell it).

You know what is sad? I have played in the Skyrim world with at least 10 different characters, but not once have I finished the game. I always get to a point where I need more mods, or remove mods or just feel like the game is missing a mod that would complete the immersive experience I'm striving for. What do!?
