It's not hard, all you need is patience and money.
It's very hard, especially if you want to raise a kid in a certain way. And no matter how you do it (unless you're neglectful) it's going to define and consume the years of your life in which you raise them. Just look at all the people who screw up.

For a while I would answer the door slightly intoxicated due to the time of day trick-or-treaters come out. This year I will make an effort not to drink and I have modified a gas mask with a voice modifier and replaced the plastic windows with one-way mirrors. The spook factor is a 7.5 on the spook scale.

I got into a lot of fights when I was a kid as well, but it wasn't self defense most of the time, it was because I was an asshole. One time I was sick walking home from school and another kid wanted round 2, I think I called him out for liking a girl, I don't remember much, but at some point I got punch in the stomach , projectile vomited all over the kid, and we both just walked away.

The flamboyant cuttlefish is a incredibly overconfident for its size, due to its extremely poisonous nature it can basically dick around with any fish and they will be scared of this tiny beast.

The gauge of "effective" is very difficult to measure as we don't have a way of measuring feelings, to an exact. So the science behind this is difficult but the short answer is, no.
