Goji's point up above sums it up nicely. That and the fact that the II's all share a close bond. It's something a little more than just one of companionship or comeradship. They trust each other absolutely.

For instance. Take Chief's experience with Kurt. It's noticable that all Spartan II's have some inherent trait to them that's boosted far beyond others. John's is luck. Linda's is awareness and focus. Kelly's is speed. Fred's is hand to hand. And for Kurt, it was intuition and compassion.

A funny feeling that John at first didn't listen to, but eventually gave Kurt orders, that if he ever had that funny feeling again about a mission, to notify the others and him of it.

Most of the Spartan II's share a bond that goes beyond just physical time spent together. The fact that all of them can't hardly show social cues in their armour, but all of them know each other by sight, is another good example.

Their trust in each other is absolute, and for good reason.

True as that may be, it doesn't explain Lasky and everyone else aboard the Infinity.

What? Believing John or not believing him?

Believing him. Unlike on Requiem where he had other witnesses, and was interacting with ancient supertechnology, here His testimony was flimsy at best and even that is pushing it. I mean his mental health was shaky as was, but then he fell down into a pit, got knocked out and then woke up ranting about a long dead AI being alive on some random planet. You'd think someone would at be even a little skeptical.

Lemon, I just have a question. Does the fire team AI ever ground pound, thrust, slide, shoulder charge, etc.? Because from the gameplay I've seen all they pretty much do is stand around and get shot. I remember from the E3 demo Tanaka ground pounded a Soldier, but that was scripted.

The Blue Team B-Roll from Gamescom showed Kelly and Fred get fucked up while they tried to Ground pound a Hunter
Spoiler
but in the footage HaloCanon posted of Legendary they didn't do so much, mostly just ignoring their shields and getting killed trying to revive each other

I think it's strange how Chief goes AWOL and Locke treats it like he's bringing down a terrorist.

That's a good point. Although the trailer suggests the UNSC thinks he's activating the Guardians.

But if this is just about John going AWOL it's actualy pretty out of character for Locke since he's not exactly a patriot himself.  And it wansnt like he was constantly pestering Randal in Halo Nightfall despite the fact that he was a blatant deserter.

7629
Well they're all basically family after knowing each other for like 30 years.

My dad and I are close as fuck. I've known him for 20 years, but if he fell of a bridge and then woke up rambling about  my grandmother being alive in Sudan, my first priority would be getting him to a hospital.

Mods, DO NOT merge this with the Spoilers thread. Ive only seen the second mission and I don't want anything else spoiled at all. This thread only covers the spoilers of that mission and that mission alone.

So NO SPOILERS FOR ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF THE MISSION BLUE TEAM IN THIS THREAD

Anyway does anyone else find it strange that everyone takes Cheif's (seemingly concussion induced) hallucination as gospel and all assume that Cortana is definitely alive on Meridian. I mean damn, they weren't even off the mission yet and Infinity was already prepping a team to investigate, and then Blue Team accompanies John going AWOL at the drop of a hat...and THIS IS ALL BASED ON A CLAIM HE HAD A VISION IMIDEATELY AFTER FALLING AND GETTING KNOCKED OUT?

How did we go from nobody taking the Chief seriously for no reason in Halo 4 even when he had other witnesses and biometric data to back up his claim to Halo 5 where the most dubious claim he could possibly make is instantly accepted as fact by everyone. I mean, at that point, if I were Chief the first thing I would do  is get the fuck back to Infinity to make sure I didn't hit my head too hard.

Explain to me what's so great about human beings. This should be a laugh.

What isn't amazing about our species? We're a one of a kind species.

By that logic men are just as sexualized since so fucking many of them are made overly muscular, or walk around half naked just as often.
Yes.

They are.

When the FUCK did I ever deny that?

Two wrongs don't make a fucking right.

still cant find the thing that's apparently so wrong.

And the in game purpose of bad guys is to kill them and they're overwhelmingly male. THIS IS PURE MISANDRY!!!
Wow. What an unbelievably retarded comparison.

It would only be misandric if you were killing them BECAUSE they were male.

Women are exploited BECAUSE they are female.

I don't see women getting gunned down in hordes in any of these games
