Back on topic I'm playing the game again after a fuck ton long time and one problem I noticed imideately is just how imballanced the weapons are. Case and point, the difference in TTK between the ICR and HVK is so rediculous that even if the ICR starts hitting first the HVK is still going to win.

God, the chat reminded me of why I absolutely abhor large twitch channels.
The Metroid runs and Halo 4 were great to watch though. I need to go back and watch the Paper Mario one.

I still don't see why people dislike this game for anything other than campaign and lacking infection (BTW there is an infection emblem already in game so it is most likely being added).

It shpuld have been in on launch.

Warzone is fun, fair and does not at all feel competetive unless you get a full team and Arena is exactly what competetive Halo should be.

Warzone is very rarely fair; 19/20 games involve one team being curbstomped. The map design is awful, mainly due to how cramped they are for the player count and vehicles, and the grenade spam in the bases is just ridiculous. THe AI involvement is simply pathetic, and I can't understand who thought it was a good idea to make a game mode designed around encouraging spawnkilling. Warzone feels tacked on based on what they had after making arena and forgetting they needed a big team battle mode.

Arena is marhinally better because it's obvious the game was designed around it, but the terrible maps offset any advantage that has. On top of that, the supposedly "skill based" matchmaking seems to like placing me with the top-tier players who are way better than me. GG.

Quote
Idk about other people but I have not felt the need to play the campaign over and over again in any Halo game, so it's not like it is such a bad thing that campaign was lackluster.

...and other people do like playing campaigns?

And then there is more content every month for free. I just don't get why people dislike it.

Content which should have been in at launch. Things like forge, custom games and game modes aren't things that count as free content, they are things which are standard in pretty much all Halo games, and should be expected at launch. If I buy something, I expect the full package at launch.
It sounds to me like you need to adapt and get gud. Try not sucking you might like the game more.

Activision goes and buys out MLG

Quote
Activision Blizzard Inc. acquired Major League Gaming, a well-known producer and broadcaster of videogame competitions, as it works to build a new “e-sports” division.

Activision Blizzard, which makes blockbusters such as “Call of Duty” and “Destiny,” said it paid $46 million in cash late last month to buy the majority of Major League Gaming’s assets.

While the deal is small by Wall Street standards, it gives Activision Blizzard a boost into the business of streaming live e-sports matches online. Major League Gaming says its MLG.TV attracts more than 20 million monthly viewers on computers, mobile devices and videogame consoles.

In October, Activision created a new division dedicated to e-sports. The company at the time said it hired MLG co-founder Mike Sepso to help run it along with Steve Bornstein, a former head of Walt Disney Co.’s ESPN, who was named chairman. Sundance DiGiovanni, chief executive and co-founder of MLG, will join Activision Blizzard, the company said on Monday.

I don't want to see them put a finger on Metroid.
I know you don't like the Souls games because of the difficulty and the PvP system (the latter I agree with) But they really are exelent at being metroidvania titles when you get down to it.

Their knack for limited story and flavor text up the wazoo would be a perfect match.
>implying Super Metroid or Prime had that much of a story

That's the point. The story in metroid, especially the prime games has always been sort of below the surface. All the really cool lore tidbits are in the scan logs.

Ok ,so I'm a huge nerd but, nearing the end of reading Ghosts of Onyx and it including the concept of teleportation with forerunner tech one wonders if they have achieved the ability to also time travel? So with the end of Halo 4 starting Halo 5 and seeing a one armed Halsey a bomb dropped!!!What if a genetically enhanced and time manipulated Halsey was actually Catherine " Kat" from Reach sent back in time to influence and maybe even prevent the fall of reach?First off she was noble teams hacker munitions expert and to some degree tactician,She had a "Supernatural"ability to absorb and use knowledge, Like our doctor .She knew everything about every member of noble team(except 6) It would also Mean If the covenant caught wind of the operation they could have sent back either their own agent hence the single shot snipe from a needle rifle from a phantom!... effecting the scrubbing of noble teams primary objective and effecting the fall of reach.Just an idea ,I know this is a destiny forum(which I've played nearly daily since day one)but its all from the same minds I like to think of destiny as beyond halo maybe its far future and am a huge fan if Bungee,(except the RNG) and if they had the foresight to make Kat = Halsey I'm an even bigger fan. -Thanx SlaughterKhan
