If you get hit by the Needler in real life, would you die before getting super combined or after?
Even getting hit by one is a death sentence. There's a bit in TFOR where a marine gets hit by one and the needle explodes into millions of pieces of microshrapnel that cut through his body and leave him with mass internal bleeding. Supercombine is just overkill.
Which reminds me; Remember the part in Ghosts of Onyx where one of the Gammas got supercombined and was able to keep fighting with his chest blown open off of sheer adrenaline.

If not, I'd have to go to this local game store that sells older consoles and games to see if they have a Gamecube and Metroid: Prime.
Yeah you can get almost the whole Metroid series including The prime trillogy which comes together.
The ones you will be missing though are Metroid 2 and it's remake and pinball.
Are they good ports? Do they have any technical problems or anything missing from their original versions on the Gamecube?
The ports are fine as far as I know, however they did patch out alot of cool sequence breaks thay made the speed running community what it was. One boss in Prime 2 got nerfed a bit since it was so notoriously hard that even the devs had to use resort to using mode to beat it. Also, the Normal difficulty in the trillogy is the originals' easy mode while Veteran is the original Normal mode. Most important, the Prime trillogy uses motion controlls exclusively so take that as you will.

I've never played Melee but this is now my favorite rendition of the Planet Zebes theme. This theme alone is probably my new favorite all-time track by Nintendo.

my brother got the xbox game pass so i can finally try halo wars 2
do any of you play/played it? i thought the original one was alright (im prolly gonna play the definitive ed too) but im glad i can see whats up with the spirit of fire
The story amounts to "humans and brutes shoot each other on the ark for four hours" - nothing happens at all. Campaign itself is really mediocre as the mission design is incredibly railroad-ey so you don't start getting to do the strategy part of the strategy game until after the halfway mark. The Awakening the Nightmare DLC campaign improves a lot in the design but has a similar problem RE story where nothing happens.
Game itself is pretty fun. I got a lot of enjoyment out of the AI battles. Season pass is worth it as the DLC leaders are pretty fun to play as.
It's a shame because literally everything else Atriox is in is great. Meanwhile we get Halo Wars 2 and he may as well have not even been in it for what it's worth. Halo Wars 2 like Star Trek Wrath of Khan where they cut out the last half of the movie as well as all the scenes with Khan. I'm convinced 343i just resent video games as a whole after Halo 4s reception and just conciously refuese to put any of their good story material in the games. The latest book is literally Halo 5 ODST. It's actually good enough to almost make Halo 5 not look like the biggest mistake in all of human history, so why did they not make it into an actual game?
