Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet was interesting, too. Good dub, and not a half bad take on some cliche story elements. I don't recommend reading plot summaries. The first episode is necessary for the plot and appears as a generic mecha story, but is not representative of the rest of the series.
Saw it on Netflix, so it may still be there.
I enjoyed Gargantia. Fun fact Respawn Entertainment has cited it as one of their inspirations for Titanfall 2's story, and it most certainly shows.

Go on MAL, look for a show labeled Echi and Harem, preferably one with the least episodes or run-time/
Once you're done with it, congrats, you have watched the entire fucking genre, no need to bother with any more. They are all literaly the exact same show.
As a matter of fact, bump Sword Art up on your list and get that over with and you'll be done with it, with slightly less fanservice than you would have to endure otherwise.

99% of anime is hot garbage, .7% is just good or different enough to be worth a watch, and the last .3% is so beyond the standards of the industry that calling it "anime" is a bit of an insult.
I actually agree with this to an extent, and I think it extends to most media TBH. Anime is can be especialy bad though since so fucking much of it is the same "Fighting with Superpowers for 9 Billion episodes (8.5 billion of which are filler)" or "DudeTitsLOL" or more recently "Trapped in a fantasy world" Funny thing is when I say this to weebs I know they have gotten mad and called me everything from a weaboo to a racist.

And it's not JUST waifushit that's plaguing Japan but fan pandering in general. So many games they churn out are literaly 'Dynasty Warriors: [Insert Franchise Here] Texture Pack Supper Button Mash Edition' and they barely even quality as games. My freind comvinced me to import Gundam Breaker 3 when I first got my PS4 and that had to have been one of the most fucking boring experiences Ive ever had in a game. It boils down to Did you level your parts? Yes: Enjoy mindless mashing triangle and square for the next half hour with zero fucking resistance. No: Use the shitty menu to level your parts so you can go mash triangle and sqare for the next hour. The cutscenes were fucking still-frames and the storry was written like it was made from the TV Tropes anime page, by a disinterested weaboo intern. And so many of the goddamn games are like that: - The Entire fucking Dynasty Warriors franchise - Berserk And the Band of the Hawk - Fate/Extella (I almost fucking fell for this one too) - Hyrule Wariors It's like movie liscenced games but people actually buy them.
