Sniperclippers and 12 Switch (Thanks JewStop)

Looking forward to:
Metroid Prime 4
Xenoblade 2

I'm giving Splatoon 2 thought but it seems the massive issues from the first game have remained. which makes me concerned.
I'm not quite sold yet on pokken. I played it at a nintendo event and unlike ARMS at didn't seem to be an abject disaster.

I will always love Halo 4 but I will admit that they took to long to nerf the fucking DMR and fix the BR.
I seriously want to know what the hell they were thinking when they originaly balanced those two, especially the DMR.

The game got alot better after that although Plasma Pistols and Grenades still often wreaked havok on big team. Flinch was also a mistake and the game was unplayable without stability.
I must be the one person who never

Wow so this is what 343 calls competitive high level halo

I'm pretty sure this and everything 343i does these days is just well deserved revenge for how Halo 4 got treated.

Is a roll for Jean worth it or should I just keep saving for Kerry?

do you want to roll her for gameplay or waifu purposes?

Gameplay. I'm not much of a waifufag when it comes to Fate at least. She has a unique class and i liked her NP when I got to use it in the story. But is she or rather the roll for her actually worth it?

Can someone explain to me the Spartan II program?

Or has it not been tweaked slightly by 343? I really dont remember Johns training period

But this is gay

Yeah don't watch that shit. Fall of Reach The Animated Series is about as good an adaptation as Berserk 2017 or Tom and Jerry and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
All the characters are there and most events are covered.
If you're not assed to read a book or walls of text, I think its a good summary.

Among other character development they fucking butchered the boxing ring scene and made John look like a fucking psycho.
And how do they call of Fall of Reach the Animated series IF THEY DONT INCLUDE THE FUCKING FALL OF REACH IN IT.
I agree about the name. Should have been called Boot Camp to go with the comic series of the same name.
As for the ring scene, didn't he act like a psycho in the book? He didn't know how strong he is, so he used too much force?

Not really. They try to put him in a choke hold and he unintentionally breaks one of their noses to get out of it. John at that point wasnt really sure if fighting back was the right thing to do and was only acting defensively. Then the CO walks in and tells them to settle the fight in the boxing ring. He, now thinking it was alright to fight them properly, did so not really understanding his own strength and most of the ODSTs die. Most importantly he didn't try to cave in the face of a guy who was already down.

Compared that to the animated series where he imediately goes into murder mode. All that's missing in that scene is him saying "I must break you" or screaming "Griffith!" at the top of his lungs.

Don't you feel so much safer now that we trained the potential mass murderer on how to properly use their firearm?

I think it's a solution that both overestimates the effectiveness of armed teachers in these situations and underestimates the potential risks that come with it. The case in favor of their effectiveness seems pretty flimsy, and I imagine that the costs and logistics are pretty prohibitive, not to even touch upon the risks of a teacher misusing it or a student getting his hands on the gun.

>training

Why do people assume training just automatically means a person with a gun wont misuse it.

There's been some changes made my 343i nothing TOO major (mostly but i'll get to ranting about that)

The training stuff was establised all the way back before Halo 2 in 'Halo Fall of Reach' with some minor snippets in 'The Flood' and 'First Strike' with some bigger additions comming in Halsey's Jounral. All that was BUNGiE era stuff, though BUNGiE never liked it because they wanted Chief to be a self insert brick kirito of duty.

Here's the abridged history of the Spartan 2 program

Spartan II's were proposed because of a research project called the Carver findings which determined that if action wasn't taken immediately, humanity would be stuck in an endless interplanetary war. ONI-chan had Dr Halsey, who helped in the findings direct the program. The plan was to find 300 six-year old children based on genetic screening and train them to be augmented supersoldiers. The number was eventually cut down to 75, and Halsey added two things to the program; Mjolnir, and flash cloning the kids they abducted to cover up their disapearance. Due to the nature of flash cloning however they all died shortly after the switch was made.

The Spartans were trained for six years under Chief Mendez, their drill instructor and the AI Serena who taught them just about everything else; enough that those who never got deployed into combat became things like astrophysicists and important figures in ONI. Training involved things like being left in the woods in the winter and having to find their way base, or even live fire training exercises against the biggest sociopaths the UNSC could throw at them.

At 14 years old the Spartans underwent augmentation, and about half of them either did not survive or were severely crippled. The augmentations were not perfected yet but ONI had forced Halsey to go through with it anyway. The Sparans who died were given a funeral to give the rest closure but were in reality placed in cryo in hopes that they could once day be resuscitated.

After augmentation the Spartans were sent on raids against the insurrectionists, with massive sucess untll the covenant showed up. It's at this point they get ttheir first set of Mjolnir armor. John and the original Blue Team (Kelly and Sam) assault a covenant ship and Sam becomes the first Spartan 2 to die in combat.

After that things stop being as simple. The numbers of Spartan 2's has been fudged beyond all combrehension by BUNGiVision and then 343i going ahead with resuscitating a few of the 'dead' Spartans, and introducing more Reach survivors does not help the confusion either.

For the most part though 343i has been doing a decent job at clearing stuff up. But one thing I cannot forgive them for is fucking with the way Halsey treated the Spartans. It was established that Halsey really did genuinely care about them and feel bad for them, but Kilo Five went and tried to turn her into a cartoon mad scientist who did shit Dr Halsey would never do to them like lying to them.

Karren Traviss should never be allowed to write anything again.

Noticed this in Chapter 2 of Blood Line

I thought Spartan 2s didn't have any libido or ideas of 'relations'. What is this?! Gay S2s' ?

EDIT: a few pages later ->

Okay, that's a guy and a girl. This is still odd for a Spartan II though.

Was this before or after the augmentation?
Oooh, yes. Before. I think...

Makes sense now.

It's still highly perculiar and irregular seeing as they saw each other as family at that point. But it still makes more sense than two augmented spartans going SpartainKen 15 on each other suddenly

countless h3 matches but the one time ce gets voted, i magically lose connection
come search with me famalam. I always vote h2 or anything super meme like flag on gephydrophobia
Who the fuck thought setting snipers on that map to respawn regardless of if it's already on the map or not was a good idea? Who though setting it so there's no time limit was a good idea?
Probably the same person who thought randomising vehicles spawns was a good idea.
And also probably the same person that thinks SANDTARP is a good variant

Probably the same person who chose the weapons and vehicles on fucking Meltdown.

My seventh grade teacher was notorious because he chocked a kid once. I don't think guns would make that kind of thing any better.
