I would blame it on people being majorily irresponsible in their prime. These people buy expensive houses and cars relative to what they earn; then they just gotta bring a kid or two into the world because reasons. By the time the kids are grown and put through college, a half dozen cars have been gone through, and that house is payed off, they're outta their prime with only a few years to save up before what's considered retirement age.
In this day and age, most people shouldn't have kids and should live in smaller, more respectable houses. I'm sure the hundreds of thousands saved would easily cover retirement. Unfortunately, these same people feel entitled to have children to waste money on only to come up short themselves in the end. Now they want society to pay for them.

Morality cannot exist outside of God. The idea would be that God, being the omnipotent creator of everything in existence (essentially setting the rules for logic itself), would be the only true objective force in the universe. Morality would have to be objective because it would be based on factual, provable information decided by God.
You just said above that God set the rules for logic. Were there other possible ways to set logic, or only the one chosen? Because if there were other ways then what made God choose this way over others? Was there pre existing logic to creating logic? Thus, morality would be objective because God would define logic to make it such. If it is as God defines (in the beliefs of a single entity), then it is by definition subjective. You cannot know how God would define something, so it be his subjective position. Objective means independent of any biases.
