Serious / Re: The large minority: Islam and terrorism.
« on: December 13, 2015, 10:27:16 AM »
The belief that those joining ISIS are just dumb goat fuckers is really ignorant.

Already posted this source before, highlighting how many terrorists are well educated and well off

Just stumpled across this story of a woman with a bachelors degree in pyschology almost joined ISIS even though they asked her to murder her family because they were "infidels".

The last one really highlights the flawed reasoning of claiming ISIS are not "true" muslims because they kill other muslims.  ISIS does not view other muslims as "true" muslims, they see them as infidels.

Although in the end it really wouldn't make sense considering people like ISIS kill people of their own religion constantly, so that kinda defeats the purpose.
That's because ISIS doesn't view other muslims as "true" muslims, just like vice versa.

Im not familar with SW's lore, so why do you say that?

As a non-force user, there's simply no way to combat it. He could just choke you or something.

Can distractions or loss of concentration weaken the hold though, like say Spidey webs their face or web yanks something into them?  Can the force insta-crush his wind pipe?

There's virtually no way Spidey could beat, say, Obi-Wan, though.

You have said yourself that overrate does not equal bad.
People greatly overestimate Chief's capabilities. Hell, he isn't even the best Spartan.
Quote
While Chief isn't nearly as powerful as some believe. He still is at a Cap level out of his suit
lol
Without his suit he'd be even more fucked than if he was wearing it.
Captain America is leagues above Chief in basically every single way.

I'm not here to fucking debate, I just came to show my view and leave.
This forum is not your wall.

Captain America has fought and beat people way stronger than Spartan 2's

Spiderman has beat people stronger than Jedi's

I'd protest to make restaurants pay their waiters actual living salaries so we can abolish tipping in the United States. Right now the minimum wage for a waiter is $2.13 an hour.
With a 5/10 face and a booty, most waitresses can make over 50k a year from guilt tripped patrons.

Serious / Re: ISIS may have passport printing machine.
« on: December 10, 2015, 09:45:53 PM »
Doesn't the FBI and CIA examine each refugee beyond whether they have a passport?  And isn't there a waiting list, meaning it would take years for them to get in if they just got the machine?
This is a legitimate printing machine as Raqqa and Deir ez-Zour both had offices where they were issued. We're talking about blank passports with forged info.
That doesn't answer either of my questions though :/

Woah, this just in - college-aged kids tend to be incredibly reactionary and go overboard on any ideaology they get attached to

It's almost as if...it's almost like this sort of thing has been happening forever

Reactionaries in their 20's have always been reactionaries in their 20's. This isn't some newfound evil SJW supreme takeover, this is college kids doing what college kids have always done.
Where did I say this was a new concept?  You came in acting like all politically correct people do is ask people nicely to do things, I disagreed.  Then you asked me to show you examples, I did.  Now you are saying that you knew all along and me posting examples was a waste of time.

a lot of people try to argue that anti-natalism is a bad idea because we've "come so far" as a species and if we just died off, no one would ever be able to experience the "awesome" shit that we'd have produced in the future.

I would say that we are beginning to make awesome shit now.  Prosthetics are becoming more functional and available, self driving cars, autonomous machines, 3rd world shit holes are beginning to develop, crime is going down, etc.

Quote
the trouble with this is that no matter how technologically advanced we get, we're always going to be dissatisfied
always

you see it today--we have all this cool shit--laptops, cellphones, fucking airplanes
and all we do is bitch about how it all doesn't work right--we take everything for granted

I'm going to disagree with this.  These seems like a product of culture and bad human nature, which you often argue in many of your other stances, that we should learn to overcome.  People are often raised in ways that foster greedy and selfish behaviors.  People forget sometimes what it is like to be grateful.

Even though I believe the effect can be mitigated, the effect of being dissatisfied can be a good thing.  It prevents complacency.  That dissatisfaction motivates us to get better.

Quote
and that's what would happen if we had a way to live a perfect, harmless life
we would get bored

Occasionally, we might, but it's not like we would run out of things to alleviate that boredom.  Hypothetically, if robots did all the work in the world, we would still have movies, games, entertainment, pursuing scientific discovery, the list goes on.  I don't see occasional boredom as a good reason to go extinct.  It makes all the progress we made up to the point for nothing.

Quote
we're just sisyphus climbing up the hill that we'll never reach the top of--so the only solution is to just stop trying to roll this fucking boulder up the hill, because it's not accomplishing anything of value
Nothing was thought possible until someone did it.

"We should LITERALLY BAN Islam! No more muslims! Syrians are raping the women in Europe and need to be banned!"
"Hey maybe you shouldn't sling around hate speech on unfounded claims?"
"CENSORSHIP. CENSORSHIP. I'M BEING CENSORED RIGHT NOW. FUCKING PC CUCKS CENSORING MY FREE SPEECH."
Lets not pretend that's all that is ever done by the politically correct.
And what other horrible things are done by them?

This isn't me being an ass, this is me legitimately wondering. What sorts of awful, terrible things do you think the "PC" people do?
There is almost always a call to censor, boycott, ban, and vilify people for the most insignificant things.  These are just a few recently.

Not a new concept for the easily butt hurt, people made a petition to ban Trump from the UK because of his ban muslims comment, with over 200,000 signatures already.

Yoga class suspended for being "oppressive" and cultural appropriation.

Look, this mindset you guys have is poisonous. We're at where we're at because we keep going. We have comfort we have now we didn't have back a thousand years ago, let alone further back.
Death is ultimate comfort. Natalism is holding us back.
That's assuming an "ultimate comfort" is unachievable by other means.

Yeah.
Can you summarize the main points of it that you believe apply to promoting anti-natalism?
