that aliens won't want to fuck us up.

If aliens figured out FTL travel I doubt a bunker or projectile weapons are really a problem for them.
True.. but lets say that happens and you don't have a bunker/weapon. Are you going to kneel before them as they either enslave you or kill you? Or would you rather fight to live another day?
It's irrelevant, I wouldn't need a weapon or bunker to fight them.  They could drill a hole in your bunker with space lasers/drills and smoke you out if they wanted.  You'd just be slightly delaying the inevitable.  Your butt hole will be probed.

This is more about abiogenesis than evolution.  I'd say no, life wouldn't come from it.  It's a little more complex than that.  Just think how life has never sprouted from grave yards or old warzones where mass casualities happened.

If being gay goes against Christianity then please quote something from the New Testament that proves this. We all know that Old Testament arguments are out the window, seeing as people eat lobster, get haircuts, and wear mixed cloths and it's not seen as "sin"

You can't pick and choose convenient scripture in Old Testament to follow while ignoring the rest.

And picking and choosing convient scripture from the New Testament is any better?

something something quran

"Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians -- whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord. And there will be no fear for them, nor shall they grieve" (2:62, 5:69, and many other verses).
It's almost like extremists shouldn't be considered examples of any religion or group.
They shouldn't; jihadists and far-righters alike. They both pervert the Word for their own dark, twisted ideas and for Satan himself

Spoiler
Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Quran (9:5) - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them."

What sparked the Barbary wars^

Quran (4:95) - "Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward,-"  This passage criticizes "peaceful"
So perverted, I don't see how jihadists can justify their actions.
k, you realize Christians, Jews, and Muslims believe in the same God, correct?
Okay?  They obviously don't hold the same beliefs.
No, but they share enough to be grouped together and to not be considered entirely different

By who, you?  Muslims and Jews don't believe in Jesus or that he was divine, which is a big difference.

A gay person wanting to be accepted into a religion is like a black guy wanting to join the KKK.

343 doing terrible at releasing good Halo games.  First everyone ditched Halo 4 now the MCC going down as the worst Halo launch in history and it's just a bunch of games repackaged.  The first game microsoft had to refund digital purchases and they had to delay Spartan strike just so more people can try to make it playable.  Pathetic.

PC gaming isn't that great.

You seem angry, friend.

Implying I shouldn't be upset when what happens in my clip is literally how every game in The Master Chief Collection plays for me even when I can get the best connectionn ever inTitanfall
That's real neato. You're forgetting though, that the community has always been garbage.
There at least used to be a lot of cool people.  Now no one makes machinimas or talks in game chat except to trash talk.
Must just be on your end. I've met a ton of cool people online on the MCC.
I haven't seen anyone in gamechat on the MCC because 343 removed the mic icon for some dumb reason.
I'm sure they'll add it back soon enough.
But why was it removed to begin with?

>Complains about CoD because it has been the same for years gameplay wise.
COD also releases yearly for $60 plus has at least $20 in DLC.

Quote
>Complains about Reach and Halo 4 because they had changes and they weren't Halo 3.5.
Because those changes slowed down the gameplay and made it ass.

Quote
>Complains about Halo Reach being a bad game.
>Halo 4 comes out and now Reach is in the gold standard.

Nope Reach is still ass, it just did things better than 4, like UI and non-bikini armor.

To be honest, the kid has it better than some third world countries.  I'd leave him there.

By definition it's cruel but it'd be more cruel to have more people suffer.

I'd leave.

But what I really don't understand about the story is why a goat is sacrificed to God in the end. What is the point of that when the sacrifice was just a test of faith and not to be performed? And why would God want a goat sacrificed in his name anyway?
In the Old Testament, Israel would offer a "sin offering" to God of their best goat, or lamb. That would cover them for the year.
Jesus is called the "Lamb of God" because He took all sin upon Himself.

It's where the term scapegoating came from, and it's immoral.

    • Does the militarization of police further separate the community, which is meant to be protected and follow the law, to the people "protecting" them?
Yes.  What ever distance between the two is further expanded by giving one side more.

    Quote
    • Does the militarization of police further ingrain the thought that they are above the law?
    No, their actions do.

    Quote
    • Is it a good idea to provide money for police to buy "tank-like vehicles", as the Syracuse Police Chief here in New York would like to do?

No, complete waste seeing as an extremely large majority won't need it.  It'll be introduced under the guise of protecting people but be used for drug raids.
