The Flood / Re: This is a bad idea: how should I entertain my kids?
« on: June 26, 2017, 07:39:59 AM »
Have fun, and Fi out what they are interested in. And spend the last day doing what they want. But you know your kids better.

Seriously, are you really depressed. Cause you may need to get help for that. And I mean really need help.

On smoking, well it sucks but it's your choice, know how you can live with it? I mean you know the options to help quit but personally I will say focus on your mental health before physical.

lol me smoking has nothing to do with me being sad it has to do with me being stressed

I only smoke at work btw, I can just smoke weed at home
Oh one of those who smoke to find something to do and take your mind of stressful things. Well as long as it helps you cope.

I know people will be telling you to find something else to help you to cope, but if this works, well it can help.

Wait is this pic real? I really want to know, because this could be really sad cause it's quite dark and could be used to push people deeper into their self imposed brainwasbing. And I don't want to see people going further into the house they have dug.

Cool well that's an accomplishment. And honestly it does not mean you are in the real world, but your ready for what comes next or just kind of lost not sure where you are going.

Cause the main deal will be finding what you want to achieve in life.

The Flood / Hotel nightmares
« on: May 18, 2017, 10:16:20 AM »
What is your worse hotel nightmare?

I am still waiting for a horrible stay as I have gotten lucky with all my hotel and hostel stays. Never had bed bugs or shitty food that made me sick, though food could have been shitty.

People discussing IT infrastructure and management yet have no knowledge of the amount of work required to update a whole IT infrastructure spanning thousands of countries with antique programs with old coding as well as managing the storage and transfer of millions of data safely from one system to another while also making sure all bugs are gone through.

The Flood / Re: Is it weird to go to the cinema by yourself
« on: May 12, 2017, 03:23:36 PM »
Not really. I mean we have had this conversation before. Fuck people who judge for enjoying something that does not hurt anyone else.

If it does not harm anyone and you enjoy it, it is not weird. Plus no one would really notice you watching by yourself, most people are just wondering g how other people judge them or engrossed in either the movie or the how the people they are with are holding up.

Would be interesting if they go ahead with the death sentence. Personally I think if he is dragged down, they will make it as humiliating as possible. Would make fro great TV. The screams and cries of his loyal supporters and the crushing of their dreams while the cheering and jeering of his opponents.

Death sentence should be the season Finale of this season United States Presidential Election

Okay that is a cunt move. But Extripaor is right you might have to do that. Though would recommend talking to your landlord directly.

But I will say, if they do find a tenent, they may be looking to move in as soon as possible and now you both have a scheduling issue.

The Flood / Re: Worked my first eight hour work day
« on: May 09, 2017, 08:55:28 AM »
Per chance, what school do you have? If you don't like such jobs, ever considered getting some certification for equipment operation and finding a job in the oil or mining sector. Hell even road construction. The pay is very generous, and although hours are long, the overtime and subsistence pay is alot. They sometimes even pay for meal and gas.

Though I will say work will be sometimes boring and hard and can go full day, from , 10 hours to longer and usually carries on all days of a week. But the way you get days off will be done differently. So instead of weekends you have 10 days on 4 days of or 2 weeks on and 1 week off. Though at the end of the day the money you make in that week can be equal to a month wage for anyone in a real job.

You hang out with weirdos who are all into 420 yolo lifestyle. I mean in Canada you got huge number of people who smoke weed, hell cops in BC don't even arrest you if you are in possession of weed, but just tell you to watch out. And other than the idiots who rant about weed most people just talk about it like the talk about beer.

Honestly weed is like beer. And to build your identity around it makes it seem stupid. Take a couple puffs with friends one day in a safe place and relax. It really is just like beer, unless you are smoking some of that high strain bullshit.

The Flood / Re: Death
« on: April 28, 2017, 09:32:55 AM »
In Norse mythology, Hel is the Lord of the underworld, and even there where she was cursed to the job by Odin due to a prophecy, she mostly kept to herself and never seemed to be protrayed as an evil or villianous character.
Hel isn't in charge of death, though, Odin is. He chooses who dies on the battlefield and is welcome to his hall, those who he doesn't select just die on their own. Hel simply watches over Helhiem, home to everyone who did not die on a battlefield; the old, the sick, the unfortunate or unlucky...
It's not comparable to the Christian concept of Hell at all despite those faggots stealing the name.

Which I guess answers your question. Death is personified as evil in the western world because of Christianity and its unfortunate influence over all European civilization.
Thanks for correcting me, but it is fascinating to see how death is viewed in many different cultures and religions. Yet I have yet to see Death be considered an evil being in anything other than Christianity.

The Flood / Death
« on: April 27, 2017, 11:49:54 PM »
Why is death and all representations of him in Western literature, usually shown as an evil character. From the Grimm reaper to the the modern renditions of Hades. This personification of a state of life has been villified into something that people are disgusted by.

As to why I ask this, it mostly comes from me trying to figure out the origination of death as the grin reaper and the four horsemen of apocalypse and how it differs with Islam version of death, where death is a high ranking angel and considered the wisest of the gods servant who is sent to earth to conduct one of the most important task.

In Greek mythology, Hades the Lord of the underworld was never shown as an evil being who wanted to steal people's soul but the Lord of the Halls of hell and manager of the souls that made their way there from the river Styx.

In Norse mythology, Hel is the Lord of the underworld, and even there where she was cursed to the job by Odin due to a prophecy, she mostly kept to herself and never seemed to be protrayed as an evil or villianous character.
