I have changed but is more due to life decisions.

Kind of funny how everyone else is just watching and letting it happen.

Serious / China Yuan's being included in the Special Drawing Rights
« on: April 18, 2015, 10:45:30 PM »
I might as well copy a text post i found on r/geopolitics

Quote
They're set to vote this year. China has been pushing hard for it. There's a review every 5 years. China was rejected in 2010. If they're rejected again they'll have to wait until 2020. China needs 70% of the vote. The US has 16.75%, Japan has 6.23%, Saudi Arabia has 2.8%, Canada has 2.56%. That still leaves a tiny bit of wiggle room if all these countries vote against China's inclusion. If all the other countries vote how they did in joining the AIIB, China should be in.
Currently, only the dollar, euro, pound, and yen are included. The main advantage to getting included in the IMF special drawing rights basket is that all central banks must hold the yuan at a certain percentage, to be decided. This helps internationalize the use of the currency, and would help the yuan market deepen tremendously.
Inclusion in the SDR basket is supposed to depend on 1) global exports, and 2) a deep financial market. China is #1 in the first, but lacking in the second. China is making many reforms this year to try to boost the second factor. They've allowed the yuan to freely appreciate, even amidst some pretty atrocious exports. They've also pledged to increase other financial reforms leading up to the vote.
Nevertheless, most see the decision as being a geopolitical one. Its a faceoff between the US, who does not want to see the dollar diminished, and China who wants a seat at the table. Many see this step as similar to China's fight to be included in the WTO in 2001, which saw China become much more deeply integrated with the world's economy, and its GDP increase by 10 times its size from 2001 to 2015. China's inclusion in the SDR basket could have a similarly dramatic effect.

The Flood / Re: Does The Labeling Of Music Affect Your Choice?
« on: April 17, 2015, 05:11:48 PM »
Not really, but for me if a friend recommends me amainstream artist i will listen to a whole album once, and if it is mainstream i will be kind of wary and may not like it first round but that is due to bias, so i make sure i listen to it at least a second and third time before i can get over the bias, and see if it is good or not. Usually they are kind of okay. Some good some not that good but usually at an OK standard.

Okay first thing first this is just likely clickbait and bullshit. Also they have not even figured out how to deal with organ rejection and here they think they can transplant a boy with a whole different nervous system.

And yet she will be voted in because the repubs are not willing to vote in anyone decent. Hell Jeb is going full right wing nut to win the primaries and that will ruin his chance in the general elections.

The Flood / Re: Should I ask if my gf would want to move in with me
« on: April 12, 2015, 12:42:59 AM »
I've never been a fan of advancing a relationship with convenience as an excuse.

Neither am I, but it does make sense

I don't know your relationship so I can't agree or disagree, but you didn't list any reason why you want her to move in, you just stated that it's convenient for her. Do you love her? Do you see this being a long relationship? Are you honestly aware of the burdens of cohabitation? Just things to consider. Living with a girl can lose its romantic luster very quickly.

She's stayed at my place for about a month in the past and id say the romantic aspect only escalated from there. We got along very well, I can't remember anything going wrong in all honesty.

It's more or less me feeling it's too early, but that's the only thing preventing me from being completely on board.
Well it will drop after more than a month. Though if you can accept her for all her faults and issues then go ahead. If you see a future with her then go ahead.

What schools do you go to?

I mean seriously most schools i have gone to have people leaning to the right and left mainly socialist and Capitalist. Both side of the spectrums and then maybe if you are lucky, will see the rare commie, but that i never saw. Most people i know in post secondary are usually in the more left side of the spectrum, trying to implement more socialist ideas into the capitalist system mainly fusing them both.

Serious / Re: Iran - US Deal
« on: April 07, 2015, 05:46:44 PM »
" We, the German Fuhrer and Chancellor, and the British Prime Minister, have had a further meeting today and are agreed in recognizing that the question of Anglo-German relations is of the first importance for our two countries and for Europe.

We regard the agreement signed last night and the Anglo-German Naval Agreement as symbolic of the desire of our two peoples never to go to war with one another again.

We are resolved that the method of consultation shall be the method adopted to deal with any other questions that may concern our two countries, and we are determined to continue our efforts to remove possible sources of difference, and thus to contribute to assure the peace of Europe.

My good friends, for the second time in our history, a British Prime Minister has returned from Germany bringing peace with honor. I believe it is "peace for our time." Go home and get a nice quiet sleep. "

- British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, 1938, "Peace for Our Time" on return from the Munich Conference.
Just so you know while that was going on Chamberlain had started work on creating an army. So he was comfortably aware of what was going on.

Also Nuclear will never be used by Iran as a weapon and even if they tried they will have at minimum a year to produce one at any of their facilities. Remember all facilities are being monitored and only one of them can enrich anything at this moment. Also within the year that they try to produce one, well they will be stopped quite easily as plans of their facilities will be easily available with the numerous visits. Creation of any new sites will also be easily noticed.

So in the end Iran is not like Germany 1939. They have no hope and the longer the peace occurs the more power that is removed from the theocracy. It is slow but people can already notice the changes occurring in the Iranian regime with new governments new laws slowly by slowly being adopted.

Right, because having visitors will really stop them from their goals. Goddamn, I can't believe the ignorance I'm hearing, you guys would trust a sociopath and turn your back on them willingly, only to stabbed and act surprised. If Chamberlain was truly aware of what was happening, he would have sought to stop the German encroachment, but he didn't. Instead he gave people a false hope and when war came they got their asses kicked all the way back to Dunkirk and back across the channel. Man his plan really worked, didn't it?

We're giving Iran too much trust when they should receive none at all.
Umm...

Per Chance Chamberlaine it seems if i last read my history correct was aware but was buying time to prepare the British for the war. They were seriously not prepared for it, and war came well, how did Churchill have an army somewhat ready for the battle.

GREAT DEAL, GUYS
"Death to America, of course" FUCKING LOL

When are we gonna bomb these bearded nuns back into the Stone Age.
It's all rhetoric to appease their population. Just like the anti-Zionist shtick they have. I doubt that the Mullahs themselves actually believe what they're saying to that extent.

The 'Resistance card' can be very effective if played right, and that's what they're doing.

LOL oh it's just to appease the populace? Don't be absurd, Iran is our sworn enemy, they've been chanting for the deaths of America and Israel for years. We shouldn't strike a deal with our enemies, nor trust them, they're far from trustworthy. Unless all that fancy and fun propaganda Iran shows depicting the destruction of the US and Statue of Liberty was just for the hell of it.
How many Iranians have you met per chance?
