You should rape him, tie him up and penetrate every orifice, leave him completely unable to move in ecstasy. He'll love it.

Do I have to do anything in the initial computer setup? Or whenever I install something?

Yeah, the only thing that I didn't anticipate was how windows saves user config files for programs in the My Documents folder on the windows C drive. For example, I have steam and all those games installed on my 1tb HDD, but the config files for game settings and stuff are saved under C:\Users\"username"\Documents\. It hasn't been an issue so far, but that folder is currently 12 gigs on my ssd, which is only 120gb total. If you're getting a 250gb SSD you shouldn't have anything to worry about though.

I'm getting a 250GB SSD and 3 1TB HDDs. My question is will I be able to install the entire OS onto the SSD and use my 1TB HDDs for everything else like installing games and programs like normal?

everything in this thread is good, and i5 and a 970 will handle almost anything you throw at it. Also you don't need more than 8 gigs of ram, and if you can budget it i would highly recommend a SSD big enough to install your operating system on. I've had my computer for almost 3 years now and it starts up and shuts down just as fast as when i built it.

I concur, EVGA is best out of Nvidia's GTX line. The only reason I don't have one set up is because the monitors I plan on buying soon don't have Display Port slots, and the EVGA GTX 970 only comes with one HDMI and one DVI slot and I want a triple monitor set up.

Performance, low power, low noise, etc... They're pretty much the top-dog of Nvidia GPUs.

Go with Nvidia/Intel combo, so it depends on the price range for thr GPU. Only go with AMD GPU's if you're on an efficiency budget. Right now a Nvidia GTX 970 will do you well with an i5.

I don't really know about graphics cards. How good of a graphics card do I need?

There are a lot of different groups of people that all have very different views from each other on this subject that would all disagree with this statement.

I don't think it's possible for men and women to be equal when they're so fundamentally different while simultaneously being satisfied with their positions in society.

The Flood / Re: Does Japan have the inverse of Weebs?
« on: January 22, 2016, 07:03:39 PM »
Despite the blatant racism, the country is very "Americanized" compared to say China or any other Asian country that isn't South Korea. When they were introduced to vending machines and game shows, they want nuts for that shit. Now vending machines in Japan are a common site in neighborhoods able to sell things from snacks/soda to toilet paper and socks. TV consists of mostly Drama and game shows (which is very much copied from American TV lineups). The whole anime things is either prime time weekends for the high school/NEET audience, or early morning cartoons for children getting ready for school (which unfortunately is mostly watched by NEETS). How does the following image make you feel?

To answer your original question: Yes, some of them are so deep in America's ass, they try to 1-up it on everything wrong with our country to boot.
They watch American Animation, have imaginary wives with our cartoon characters, try to use American slang etc...

The Flood / Re: Debate Pt. 2: But is THIS sign in use?
« on: January 21, 2016, 07:53:23 PM »
Its use could be to give us something to discuss.

Alright, so you're saying that the sign has uses apart from those intended for it. That's an abstraction of its utility. I'm a human being, who would usually do human being things, but I could also be used as a mattress. It's possible, but is is practical or likely? What are the practical uses for this sign, apart from acting as a sign?- which it clearly wants to avoid. You could use it as a sign of settlement, but there would be half-a-dozen other things that would signify the same thing: people are somewhere nearby. And in most cases that knowledge would have already been at hand independent of any environmental clues. Assuming that the sign remains where it is, the scope for its usefulness, for all intents and purposes, is either extremely narrow, or extremely vaporous and subjective in a physically impractical or irrelevant way (ditto mentally, really). The sign is possibly being put to some strange use, in theory this is true. The actuality is far more likely to be that the lid is on the jam, and you'd have to be pretty perverse, and indifferent towards wasted resources, to sit there and stare at the lid.

YOU may use Jam to simply modify yourself but maybe I use jam for other things? I put jam on duct tape and leave it on the floor overnight as an inexpensive way of catching cockroaches. The point of what I'm saying in this post is that other people may have different uses for that sign than what you may believe. Hell, I could even argue the sign can be used as a reference point for somebody like a way marker. Just because it's not in your personal use, or because it's not being used for its intended purpose does not mean it's not being used in a general sense of the word.

Nope, I'mma take a stand here, and, all redness aside, say that declaring you're not in use is not a state of use. It's simply like putting a lid on some jam: the lid just tells you that the jam is not in use. Sure, the lid is being used to seal the jam, but that's of virtually no significance to us because we only use the jam to modify ourselves.

But it is in use. We used it to figure out if there was any form of hazard down the road. Since the sign is red, we're immediately drawn to the possibility of a potential hazard, however because it says "not in use" than the red meaning is irrelevant and as such, we used the sign to deduce that no known hazard is upcoming.

See... you're reaching. You feel tempted to say it's not in use. Wouldn't that be so much easier?

The Flood / Re: Debate Pt. 2: But is THIS sign in use?

Colors can be interpreted in many ways. Universally, red means some form of hazard. It's a warning to that nothing hazardous is going on down that road. Furthermore, just like the first sign "use" is very ambiguous. Use could mean anything. It could mean "Not currently used for X situation" that could call for a hazardous sign. Maybe it means "Currently not in use for directions" of some sort. With that information we can deduce that the sign is giving us information that no necessary information is needed and therefore is providing some use to us.

I just copied off of Google, highlighting from the end of the definition to the start at a completely arbitrary point.

i like how you superfluously added the definition for "noun" there

If you wanted to know about the sign, it gives you the name of who acquired it. It's directing information about itself which is adequate enough to claim that it is being used to give information.

The sign is telling us who acquired it and what it's purpose is (nothing of value) so therefore it is in use.

Quote
noun
1.
an object, quality, or event whose presence or occurrence indicates the probable presence or occurrence of something else.
But its entire use is to direct you away from it since it's not in use. So maybe it's not always not being used, but it's not always being used either.

Maybe we're coming at this in a 'black and white' fashion instead of looking for grey. Is what I said above an answer, or an admission that there is no answer...
