Like all movies similar to this one; you don't want to have one 100% without a doubt beat the other because then you'd alienate half your audience (and also half your potential merchandise sales). But I imagine the woke journalists are upset because in the ending: Spoiler Kang Wuz retreats down to the Hollow Earth (center of the Earth) just so that he can live on GODzilla's planet. The one round where he actually gets a point against GODzilla, King Jobber ruins it and gets so thoroughly ass ravaged by GODzilla that they need to revive him with electricity. Did Godzilla call Kong the n word in this movie or something

Reviews don't look so good
Same issues that they had with KoTM, people who never had an active interest in the idea of big monsters fighting each other confused on what they want out of this movie. This movie is exactly what its fans want: a big lizard and a big monkey beating the shit out of each other. If people want boring character drama in a giant monster movie they have the 2014 Godzilla which got so much (justified) shit for barely showing its titular character.

Evageeks is spreading a rumor pretty hard that Amazon Prime quietly bought the rights to all four films and will stream all four in four to five weeks when Shin Eva will get some actual competition in the box office. However their source is only slightly above the level of "My dad works at Nintendo". Regardless, we should get the DVD/BD release sometime before August. in this instance, quality is pretty important to me, so i'm comfortable waiting for a high quailty rip with subs... however long that will take
i would be delighted to pay $10-20 for a BD or an official stream, but not if that's gonna take a year or more

1. Marifags. Undisputed eternal winner. Mari and Shinji are physically in their 20s but Mari is still older than him by 20+ years, she's around the age group of Yui/Gendo and was the first with the age curse plot device. GROOMED her best friend's son into a bonafide man and won him naturally.
2. Fuyuchads: Got away with crimes against humanity, aided or was complicit in Mari grooming their best friend's only son to marry her. Got to see Fuyu piloting cool spaceships, keeps getting TANG'D. Complex motives.

Where was their outrage when the Q camrip released? Or the Ha camrip? I don't know if there was ever one for Jo because I was in seventh grade back then and didn't even know what Eva was at the time. But this is pure narcissism and I'm disappointed by it; they're still making millions at the box office and breaking records for their series, the camrip does nothing.
I'll but the 3.0+1.0 Blu-ray when it drops, but I'm also going to seed the the 1080p rip now out of pure spite.

Spoiler Supposedly, Shinji creates a new
universe without Angels or Evas during Final Impact and he and Mari go to the new universe and everyone else goes back to the old one. If this is actually what happened then boy LMAO at the "eScApIsM bAd" defense of 3.33. Ya boy litteraly says "Reality van be whatever I want" and makes his own happy world where he's hooked up with a litteraly big titty milf in an non aging teenage body. Man no wonder they didn't want anyone writing Doujinshi, they were too busy producing their own. From my understanding: Spoiler Shinji decides to create a new world without the existence of Evangelions, angels, and ancients. Mari deicdes of her own volition to join him in this world while everyone else chooses to stay and try to rebuild. He does inevitably grow older and Shinji's VA changes (to the guy who voiced the male lead in Your Name) and looks taller as an older Mari pulls him away from seeing Kaworu & Rei together from a distance. But yeah it does seem like a 180 from the message of 3.0 that escapism is bad and accepting your mistakes; I guess Anno wanted his message of moving on from Eva for good to be priority over any other thematic messages.
It makes me kind of want the missing D-Part of 3.0 to be released in full as a sort of bonus feature to the inevitable NTE collection boxset that will come out eventually. That way fans get both endings to the end of Q. One where Shinji has the power to leave behind a doomed world full of despair and heartbreak and another ending where Shinji learns to find hope and happiness in a dead world of his own creation.
