It's not up to them if someone makes a thread that doesn't conflict with the rules.

Well you see here's what I would think if I was in the Mod's Shoes.
- Slash makes a thread. (Knowing his history of joking around about some topics that can be called "extreme" I automatically assume it will be a joke thread.)
- I open the thread and see that it is wrote in a very, very extreme way and seems to use some very obvious facts as jokes. (This is the second thing that point to it being a joke.)
- I look at the responses and realize that [almost] no one takes this seriously. (I then conclude this thread does not harm anyone so I leave it be.)
You see if someone had legitimately tried to raise an argument about this subject it would be in the Serious Board to signify that it warrants a discussion. The OP would also be more elaborate in proving the point.
Therefore you conclude that thread Slash made was in fact, a joke.
I just don't understand hope rape could be considered a joke in any way shape or form. That doesn't make any sense to me. Is there something that I'm missing here?
