Yeah, duels really do annoy me. I feel a lot of that crap comes down to luck. At least with doubles you can work in tandem with passing/assisting with your partner.
Though that's not to say you're not good
Doubles and Standard are my favorite game modes. tbh the teamwork aspect of Rocket League is what makes it so fun. I have a buddy who I exclusively play doubles with and with him and another friend play Standard. Talking strategy, making up for each other's weaknesses. So, so good.
I just do randoms sadly but I still managed to get to gold, which makes me happy. Haven't played much lately though due to other things.

Pretty much. I was stuck least season between grade IV silver and below, but I managed to do it and get to gold this time around.
huh, well that's actually pretty impressive doing it largely solo.

Yeah, you're much better than I expected tbh. Pretty capable in most situations and pretty decent handling the ball.
1 v 1s are easily the most infuriating game mode in Rocket League. The 50 - 50s are what make or break you and it's very punishing and a little luck based.

Sure. And yeah with over 100 hours in it, I'd hope I was decent. But yeah, that actually annoyed me and reminded me why I hate the car physics in rocket league sometimes. Feels like every bounce is against you.
I can't break the habit of rotating off the ball to get a boost since I'm so used to my other partner trading with me.
Ahhh I did notice that. Makes sense too. Rotation is so key in Doubles and Standard I feel ya on that. But yeah, aside from that your work in midfield defending impressed me. Specifically in the way you stopped zone entries. A patient approach and you had good reads on when to challenge.

I want to play people in Rocket League here but I don't know who has it. I'm also decently good at the game and would like to see if there's anyone better here. I have it for PS4 so I can play against PS4 users and PC users. To join the lobby go to the Rocket League menu and select "Play Online" then "Join Private Match" and the info is: Room Name: Sep7 Password: 1234 If anyone can beat me I'll post something or make a vocaroo of your choice.
