The Flood / Re: UN Game| Calradia or Space?

Neither.

Go original. I'll join in.
we need another Australia/China showdown

Who won that?
if I recall, the thread died before there was a winner

that was the fall 2014 UN game I think

Shame. I was looking forward to sending in the Emu Army to Beijing.

Neither.

Go original. I'll join in.
Whadaya mean? Like another one of those games where there isn't really a set time period or?

Yes - no "Fallout" theme or Space theme. Those ones seemed to not do as well.
Ah yea I see.
I'll get it going now.

Try and follow the same "format"(?) that the previous ones had I guess. Here's a link to a pretty good one we had. http://sep7agon.net/index.php?topic=38350.msg739178#msg739178

I really don't want to set it up and host, but if someone else can't I will after TF2.
I can if you would prefer it. This would be my 5th or 6th so. heh.

I have done one that ended up messy, so you can set it up and I can be a secondary mod XP
Sounds good. It'll be up soonish.
I'll bring in my previous Game Manager crew of Class and Korra cause I think both of them would enjoy another UN game.

Walk up to a hobo, give them a gun, give them 100 dollars, easy.
What's stopping them from just shooting you?
Or just leaving with the money and gun?

I would love to but I think they've run their course. But if someone does make a good structure UN game, I'll play.

Well you did make one of the most popular ones, the Fallout game.
However I would try for a Mount and Blade theme next, since it's a good fantasy world but without magic and overpowered shit.
Thing is you need to be themed on something that every body knows. Like I tried to do one using Marvel space empires but since no one here knew shit about Cosmic Marvel it died quickly but the Fallout one last long enough because everyone and their mothers know what Fallout is.

I don't know if most of us here know what Mount and Blade is, hell I have no idea what it is.
Right, like at the start you need around 10 or so people to get it off the ground and keep it going for a couple days. As people drop out there needs to be a dedicated 3 - 5 players that carry it for a good amount of time before you lose everyone and the game can't continue or you just get stuck where it's too difficult to play anymore due to what stage the game is in or people getting butthurt cause war.

Holy shit Chase Utley.
That was a nasty slide, but you gotta do what you gotta do to prevent a double play.

Its a shame Tejeda got injured and I'm shocked that nothing happened to Utley.
There's  difference between a play where you're breaking up a double play, and one where you're clrealy targeting the SS to injure him. 100% unsportsmanlike. The fact that not only was he not ejected, but also called safe after review, shows how broken the current rules are. We have rules protecting catchers, and they have protective gear on. Why not infielders who are unprotected?
Totally agree.

The fact that this needed a thread astounds me.
This thread is completely serious and not at all a pisstake.
Regardless stuff like this should be known internet wide all the time. lol

I've been thinking of asking my fiancé if he'd let me use his Xbone live profile so I can make a b.net account (since he has played destiny on it), and try to recruit some newbies. However, it seems our community likes to greet new people by telling them to kill themselves. Yes it seems this has become our culture, but the only time I have truly sperged out on here was in my first thread when Slash told me to kill myself and I went off on him. I didn't know any better. On top of that we're one of the few forums that permits mild dissing, name calling, etc. so I think that can either be alluring or discouraging for newbies to post. We seem a lot more complex than we really are.
The biggest issue with advertising on b.net is that everyone, including the people who don't know shit about this place, gets really pissy when we mention sep7.
For some reason...

"Slide" is a gracious term for that act of violence.

Mets vs Dodgers

I want to punch these announcers in the fucking throat
Same.
I want my home announcers dammit.
I want to hear Vin Scully like I do every Dodger game, not Cal Ripken and these 2 other nobodies.

Vin Scully calls the game, tells you stories about MLB's history, and is not biased towards any team.

These announcers, and especially the ones on ESPN, always talk shit.
So true.
Bob Costas called Game 2 of the Jays - Rangers game and good lord he's so bad.
Look on the bright side, at least were not hearing Joe Buck
