Before it was OBJECTIVE FACT AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT YOU CAN FUCK A DUCK.Bayonetta is a fictional character. It's not trying to be realistic. Her armor is her hair or some shit, I don't know. It's all random goofball shit. That is my problem. I hate her design. I hate how she's unrealistic. I hate her random goofball shit. He already admitted it wasn't objective. 3946

Fortunately I finally found the right words to adequately describe the idea, even if I wasn't entirely sure of it. So let me know what you think after a while, I'm intrigued. So, yeah, I agree with you to an extent. Earlier, I was speaking from a position of objectivity, which was wrong of me, because the bottom line of my argument is that men and women should be portrayed as "realistically" as possible, which is sort of an appeal to nature. But yes I also do see your point in not liking oversexualizing... to an extent that falls shorter than yours of course. But nonetheless I see where you're coming from. 3949
Gaming / Re: Okay, I'm not actually "done" (but I still hate the fuck out of Bayonetta)« on: December 16, 2015, 07:09:04 PM »i would like to point out that I think most girls in real life like to make themselves look good. Like, is that a point we've glossed over a bit perhaps? That a woman can try to look good and present themselves in a way that is attractive? So you're saying what only qualifies is fat and ugly women?and no shit strong male characters exist, but there are fan serviced males too. I'm just saying that looking at it through one lens is wrong, and while they did fanservice some of those characters, THE ENTIRE POINT WAS THAT THE CHARACTERS ACTUALLY HAVE A CHARACTER AND PERSONALITY THAT OVERCOMES ANY OF THEIR DAMN LOOKS!Well, I did ask for female characters that are both strong and aren't designed to be physically attractive... That's an obvious point of course but it is a realistic point imo. 3950

Where some people would say the two are separate- that a character isn't tied to how they look. Sort of akin to "Don't judge a book by it's cover" 3955
Gaming / Re: Okay, I'm not actually "done" (but I still hate the fuck out of Bayonetta)« on: December 16, 2015, 05:16:49 PM »That's what my original problem was before posting that. But I meant it more as if he thinks there is a "normal" body and that's what he wants to hold onto because of it being "normal" (One could substitute this for "perfect" or something similar) then it is, in fact, an appeal to nature. And let's say it was acceptable to demand something be removed because it's icky and gross. In this case he should be completely against transgenderism and homosexuality. There's no consistency in his philosophy. 3956
Gaming / Re: Okay, I'm not actually "done" (but I still hate the fuck out of Bayonetta)« on: December 16, 2015, 01:50:13 PM »Alright I understand that. That's fair. One of my problems with what Verbatim is saying is how it's wrong for something to be sexual because (and I've seen him say this before and I think this is what it might boil down to) sexual things are icky and gross. Which in itself is hardly a reason to call for the death of all things sexual in games/media. Even if it's unneeded.Well, it's also because I've yet to see a reason not to think sexual things are icky and gross. I can sit down and indulge in some pornography every now and then. I'm not proud of it--I just concede that I'm a human being with a libido, a sexual desire, that wants to be sated. But after I'm done, I can stand back, evaluate what I just "enjoyed," and come to the conclusion that I don't actually enjoy it--I'm just biologically hard-wired to find that sort of thing stimulating. All of the stuff about having sex and wanting her back is true, but for the most part he's just posting any idea/thought that pops into his head, like a diary. Guarantee 60% of the people here have "creepier" thoughts they just don't post them like roman doesSolonoid. Giving someone a gift through a co-worker when that person is on the verge of calling the cops over you is just true love ain't it? Pretty good guess though. 3958

Which in itself is hardly a reason to call for the death of all things sexual in games/media. Even if it's unneeded.
And let's say it was acceptable to demand something be removed because it's icky and gross. The whole idea of sexual objectification is protecting the gender as a whole (male or female) and essentially assigning more value to the human body. (This is the part where I haven't thought this through in it's entirety I'm just throwing this out there for discussion purposes.) Wouldn't assigning the human body value as it is an appeal to nature? You're essentially saying that the human body should not be tampered with because they have to look "normal." I don't know about that last bit but I thought I would bring it up. 3960
