Mods aren't omniscient, unfortunately.
Had you seen any spoilers for TFA before he just spoiled it?
No, I just got spoiled. I don't even care--it's the fact that he has the temerity to do it again.
Aw man. That sucks.

You all have made a very powerful enemy. Expect a Ddos attack next week. If I succeed.
This line is immortal.

Hmm... But would they have the manpower to do that? Like would the thousands of Stormtroopers just up and serve a leader?
I don't feel as those the stormtroopers are too concerned with who they're serving. Without their leaders (Tarkin is dead, Vader is dead, Sidious is dead) the Empire's governmental responsibilities should be passed onto the people that usurped them.
I don't have a strong enough understanding of the political climate of Star Wars to give you a definitive answer. It just felt like, after 10 years, with force being back in balance, things would, y'know, change.
yea I see what you mean. Would have been nice to get a sense of what life was like for the citizens through some kind of exposition.

LOL This is great. Everybody hates Deci and now he's bound to do something astoundingly stupid in the next few days as "retaliation".
The saga continues
And thus the cycle will begin anew. We really should make a nifty chart everyone can refer to as to what part of the cycle we're in.

Just wait until Anarchy. I'm gonna start an AMA there, not responding to any of the Anon pussies.
That'll show 'em! lol

Now they're more on an even playing field because let's face it, the Rebels were huge underdogs in the OT. Well that's why I'm complaining, because this entire movie is so focussed on recreating the feeling of ANH that it disregards the ending of RotJ. The Rebels should've just taken over the responsibilities of the Empire after the Emperor died.

Wasn't Hayden supposed to make an appearance in TFA? Could he be in Ep. 8 instead as a ghost to give some backstory on what he knows of Plagueis?
As much as I hate the ghost change in Episode 6 this would finally give a half decent reason for doing so and Ghosty Anakin is a scene that would be cool to see. Regular old mortality took Sebastian Shaw away from us.

It just doesn't make sense how the Empire is still alive and strong 15+ years after the death of Plagueis. The first goal of the Rebel Alliance would be to eradicate the Empire, no?
I'm assuming that someone (Snoke) took over command and provided stability for the reeling Empire. That and the Galaxy is evidently a pretty big place so eradication takes a while. Now they're more on an even playing field because let's face it, the Rebels were huge underdogs in the OT.

Why are the called the resistance anyway, what is there to resist? The Republic won, they defeated the Galactic Empire, so why call them the resistance?
I believe it's the new Galactic Army. The Republic from the prequels didn't have an army so the Resistance would be the army. The First Order would be the thing they are resisting. Just because the Emperor was killed doesn't mean there isn't anyone to fight. I would say it's a bit like the Republic vs. The Separatists.

Going to be a bit blunt here.
You knowingly posted detailed spoilers of the film in a public thread with no warning, where anyone could stumble upon the them - and you're gonna play the victim here? Then to make matters worse, you make an apology thread, see how that turned out, and decide to make this thread to draw even more attention to yourself.
What, do you want us to start banning users who are upset at you for blatantly spoiling the movie for the community because you were pissed off at one user over something that does not remotely impact your life at all?
No.
Yes.

OT: I do think that Snoke is Plagueis. It would make a whole lot of sense and would actually be relevant.

Well when you put it like that it sounds rather incriminating. Hey Deci, the man might be on to something.

If people can't understand why spoiling something is a terrible thing to do then they truly are lost.
I won't deny that it's a dick thing to do but it just doesn't seem as bad to me as you're all making it out to be.
Well on top of that Deci is unapologetic about it and continues the cycle/talking about himself insistently. It's all a rather frustrating situation.

Umm, no because that's going to differ based on martial art of choice. No it isn't. Your ability to dodge a blow isn't going to change if you're using staff or a sword. Your ability to stay on your feet isn't going to change if you're using your fists or an axe.
Go ahead and try to wield a spear like you would a sword or an axe like you would your fist. Are you serious, LC? Where did I say this?
Muscle memory will carry over some of the skills from one form to another. Have you ever trained anything? It's like sports -- improving your core in one sport will carry over as a benefit to another. If I'm capable of great balance in football, am I suddenly going to forget how to stand up straight when playing soccer? No.
I can attest to the last point. My skills learned while playing baseball as a kid have carried over and improved my ability in many other sports. Eye-Hand coordination being an exceptionally big one. So yes, it does carry over in some facet.

I cannot wait to see Luke train Rey in Ep 8. Yoda training Luke was was one of my favorite segments from Empire Strikes Back and I hope in Ep 8, we see Yoda and Obi Wan force ghosts to tell Rey some things about the Force. We won't. Alec Guiness died some time ago, and I'm sure I'm on the same page as the producers of Ep. 8 when I say that I'd rather not see a half-assed attempt of recasting or CGI-ing him.
Also, there's no need to spoiler-tag stuff. There's already a spoiler tag in the OP.
There's nothing wrong with using Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan. He played the character extremely well in the prequels.
If they are able to successfully make Ewan look exactly like Alec and Obi Wan and Yoda make an appearance in 8 that would be incredible... My god that idea.

I'd put money down on it being her quick grasp of the force.
point for sandy
I'm gonna chalk that point up to a little theory of her being the secret daughter of a really powerful Jedi.
Anakin was space Jesus and even he didn't master it that quickly.
I do sort of see where you're coming from Anakin was also a whiny bitch who was clouded by anger (and the prequels.)
Luke was the son of space Jesus and didn't master it that quickly.
He was never given the chance to though. And in the first couple minutes of him being with Obi Wan on the Falcon he was blocking laser shots blindfolded really quickly.
Blocking shots isn't even remotely comparable to beating a highly trained Sith
For some reason Ren didn't strike me as the "highly trained Sith" type. He looked very much like Anakin when he was angry. Very emotionally driven, clouded by confusion, and incomplete as a Sith. Like hell he was even telling Snoke about his light side feelings. That indicated to me that he's far from a Sith master or even a Sith in general. If you catch my drift.
Kylo is still much more trained, as opposed to Rey being an asspull.
They showed us at the beginning of the film that Rey was a talented melee combatant. It's not an asspull; it's consistent characterization. Ben is clearly exceedingly weak, compared to other Jedi and Sith in the series. It makes sense that someone as talented as Rey would be able to defeat him, especially in his injured state.
That weakness would also play into the mental confusion that's already abundantly prevalent in him, as shown by the talking to Darth Vader's burned mask scene. He wants to be him but he knows he isn't as powerful.

Why are people congratulating a mary-sue (Rey) and saying it's good writing?
Holy shit get out.

I'm kidding of course. But I still disagree with you.

So after getting booted for 2 days, this thread is still going and Roman is still being stupid.
Spoiler Please leave the website and take your woman problems with you. At least I've had physical contact with three, unlike you. And I still enjoyed the movie dipshit. All I had spoiled for me was Spoiler Han's death, and the line that says Skywalker is missing. You have failed...
Spoiler Well the Skywalker is missing line was expected tbh. But Han's death is the biggie. Glad you still enjoyed it though.

I'm just so glad the force-sensitive character was Rey and not Donkey Kong. That would've royally pissed me off.
Also, why could Rey/Finn hold their own against a trained force-user like Kilo Ren with a lightsaber?
i was thinking about it and I'm gonna chalk it up to pure emotion fueled fight on both sides. That would sort of negate his training as he just killed his father, he does have a wound, and probably isn't thinking straight at all. As for Rey it makes sense that she already can hold her own. Finn imo got lucky.

Spoiler Ben is almost like Anakin in Episode 2. Went from "I'm almost like Darth Vader" To "AJKFDKJASHFKJLASDBFKJSABDFKJAS I'M A WHINY BITCH BUT WITH A ANGER ISSUE(Anakin prequel) I liked it thought, until the very end i still liked it.
Well I think himwas a sham. All that emotion that is. The anger issues are funny.
what do you mean a sham?
Ren getting all emotional

An interesting theory I read:
Spoiler When Palpatine tells Anakin about Darth Plagueis in Episode 3, a certain music track plays. And apparently in The Force Awakens (I'm watching it again tomorrow to see if this is true), that same music track plays whenever we see Snoke. It could mean nothing but a coincidence, but I find this observation very interesting. Ohhhhh snap!
