I'm guessing side-stepping is when you roll forward or backwards after using the shield, right?
No that's rolling. Sidestepping is when you hit the stick down when using your shield.

It is a lot about timing. For example the other day my brother and I were playing SSB4 and he kept on winning even though I felt the matches were about even in terms of momentum and damage output. I finally figured it out in our last game that I wasn't sidestepping at all and it was seriously hindering my ability to dodge his attacks and set up my own. Being able to leave someone vulnerable and exploiting it is very much what sidestepping is for. Smash really does take a lot of small adjustments during the match to do well though. It's crazy how one small thing like under-using one of your attacks or grabbing too much will affect your overall game.
And yes, Melee isn't really my bag. lol

- Poe is awesome. I know, right? I didn't even noticed this during the first viewing, but at the battle of Takodana (the planet where Kylo gets Rey), when there's a 15 second-ish moment of just pure dog-fighting awesomeness, and Finn is like, "That's one helluva pilot!" I didn't even realise that was Poe, or even what was going on. I thought it was a pan shot or something. Like, the X-Wing wasn't even something I was watching, I didn't even notice it. It's weird.
Oh well, I chock it up to me being emotionally distraught because of the spoilers.
That scene was so, so cool. The continuous shot mixed with the heat of the moment need for help and Finn's reaction was just perfect. - Finn got absolutely destroyed in his fight with Ren. Like I know people are saying he held his own but he really didn't. I noticed this as well. He get curbstomped for real.
Yeah just manhandled.

A New Hope best Star Wars movie
I have to disagree with you two now. I understand it was a huge thing that started the entire series, but the story and characters as compared to the sequels after is a no no for me. I still like it, yeah. But after re-watching, I can easily say I prefer ep 5 ahead of it.
That's fine. I know the idea of 4 being better than 5 isn't a popular one but I prefer 4 because of how neatly everything tied together. But imo they're both 10/10 so.

So after watching it for the 2nd time today I was able to reaffirm some of my ideas about it and even saw a couple new details. - Rey is definitely Luke's daughter. There are a lot of scenes where certain characters seem to know something more about her than they're letting on. Most notably Han, Leia, Luke at the end had this look in his eyes that suggested Rey was more than his next apprentice. Also one big thing. Kylo Ren seemed to know who Rey was! When the officer told him about what happened on Jakku with the droid escaping with a girl he seemed noticeably more angry at hearing there was this girl involved. It makes me think that perhaps at one point in the past he actually knew her (to some degree) and assumed this was Luke's daughter that had disappeared years ago. For reference Kylo Ren is about 29 years old and Rey is approximately 19. A ten year difference is more than enough for Kylo to have heard of Rey. (Btw her approximate age of being dropped off on Jakku is about 7 - 8.)
- Kylo Ren was so incredibly handicapped in the fight against Rey. Like my god, the amount that he had to work through just to be able to swing a lightsaber was crazy. (Handicaps include: Bowcaster shot to the side (Shown to knock stormtroopers across hallways), a lightsaber hit to the shoulder, mentally clouded and conflicted as all hell and one other reason for Rey even standing a chance against him was that he didn't seem to want to kill her. Throughout their fight she was running the majority of the time and the slashes from Ren seemed to be more aimed at disarming her. Furthermore when they are saberlocked next to the chasm he even asked her to join him and the he could teach her the ways of the force (which actually had a negative effect for him when she used that reminder of the Force to channel it and surprise Ren thereby overpowering him and being able to get a couple good strikes.)
- Poe is awesome.
- Finn got absolutely destroyed in his fight with Ren. Like I know people are saying he held his own but he really didn't. Ren looked like he was toying with him most of the time with his spins and showoff moves and Finn had nothing against. Running most of the time with a couple strikes. What interested me the most was how Kylo just ended the fight as soon as Finn did a bit of damage. He was like "Um... no. Fight over pal." and disarmed him and very nearly killed him. (My dad actually thought he was dead, even after the ending scene with Rey.)
- TRAITOR! WIPPITYWIPPITYWAPPITYWIPPITYWIPPITYWAPPITYWIPPITY WIPPITYWAPPITY
- As for Rey becoming capable in the force sort of quickly with Rey being the daughter of Luke it's very likely she had some basic level of training in the new Jedi Academy before Ren destroyed it or presented a threat. That would explain why Luke would drop Rey off on Jakku, to try and get her away from the destruction and to keep her safe. But because of her basic training she had a bit of a head start in using the force.
I will say the 2nd viewing did make me appreciate certain elements of the film more. It raises my rating from 8/10 to 8.5/10, small but still there. Very enjoyable.
EDIT: Oof. God awful grammar but I'm too lazy to clean it up.

The amount of stages in Smash 4 seems way too small.

I mean, it wouldn't be too difficult for him to be a force ghost or something. The fact that Lucas changed him in the revised edition of RotJ says enough for me.
The problem is Obi-Wan.
I'm sure they could make Ewan look like Alec. He looks enough like him already and has the mannerisms down exactly.

I would be ecstatic if Christenson comes back in some capacity in Ep. 8, considering he was actually tolerable in Looper.
Wait wait wait So Hayden was in the same movie as the director for 8? That puts even more merit behind the idea of him coming back.

Sent you a Friend Request. trist5381 Cool, bud'. I'm going to try and get on Smash sometime this weekend, but I've been preoccupied with Melee. Once I get Pichu and Ganondorf, I'll make the switch. I just can't seem to unlock any Event after 25 for some reason, even though I've done every event up to 20.
And dude, I played Mario Kart 8 -- it's amazing, holy. The vehicle customisation, the characters, the graphics, the controls. I'm actually really enjoying this GamePad. It's nowhere near as gimmicky as I thought it would be.
*cough* I wonder who told you it was great? *cough* But yeah Mario Kart 8 is fantastic and like I've been telling you guys all along, the Gamepad is actually useful.
