Because fuck being considerate to people who are trying to make a better life for themselves. How dare you travel outside of your comfort zone and attempt to make a living? Really Deci, this is the most dickish I've ever seen you.

Every game = Dark Souls
duh dude If a game has a sword in it or has any sense of difficulty it's immediately dark souls
Gun toting linear story game set in the future is sort of like Dark Souls in one of the boss battles. Basically a Dark Souls remake if you ask me.

Is this the longest game demo ever? Literally been going on for 3 hours now... Are Nintendo conferences usually this long?
It's not a conference. It's Nintendo Treehouse which goes all day during E3. Usually showing off a bunch of stuff.

I agree
But at the same time it made me just want a space flight combat sim lol
I now have a burning desire to get a game like the first 5 minutes of that demo. God damn I was excited.

The Ludens do remind me a ton of The Skulls in MGS 5. Just be good.

For this scenario, lets assume that the Master Chief somehow got stuck in the MCU, pre Avengers.
Now lets assume that for whatever reason, he becomes a part of SHIELD/The Avengers. Post Halo 5, what side would John-117 choose to help? And how would he impact the story of civil war?

So, Horizon: Zero Dawn.
Ever since last year, when it was first announced, I knew I had to keep my eye on it, and--we all saw the trailer except Shitaka--it totally exceeded my expectations. The game looks phenomenal. The weapons, the art style, the gameplay--UGH.
That was my favorite segment of the entire show. What about you guys?
It looks like a generic open world Ubisoft game and is likely filled with monotonous crap that does nothing but act as filler and waste the players time. That was the biggest disappointment of E3 for me.
It's not involved with Ubi at all though?
I don't believe so, but that doesn't mean it doesn't can't look like recent Ubisoft titles.
It isn't. Whatsoever. I mean sure it might, but it's a little unfair to group it in with Ubisoft games when it's a different publisher entirely. I see your point (sort of) to an extent, best to keep watch of the hype train and not let it go off the rails.

Wtf is Arkham VR going to be, full on detective with no fighting?
You have to imagine there's gonna be fighting.

First ever trailer, boys.
The real Phantom Pain. You knew it would be out eventually.
It really is, though. Everything from the Skull imagery (Ludens) to the dead wales (Moby Dick symbolism) to the lost child shtick screams "Fuck you Konami, this time I'm out for blood. I'll keep coming."
It's like MGSV had a wild night in the sack with PT and is fulfilling everything Kojima wanted to do with the first go.
Except this time, Kojima isn't limited by the contrived narrative he bound himself to with the MGS games.
I hadn't even thought about the dead fish on the shore. Damn man. It's gonna be a ride.

Also fuck CoD. Just fuck. I as so hyped for a tactical space sim game and they had to go and screw it all up. Why can't someone just make a game like that...

Sea of thieves Horizon God of War Detroit robocop detective Crash bandicoot remasters
These are my favorite things coming out of today, obviously there was a bunch of great stuff but those are just what's sticking in my mind
The Detroit: Become Human game piqued my interest big time. Just had such a cool and interesting look to it.

The big thing for me with Horizon was that they showed actual gameplay and it looked like it had depth. Not just being pretty. It looked like there was a good world crafted around it with good fighting mechanics.
I always judge whether it was being played live on how often the player character got hurt and as far as I could tell, Aloy got rekt a couple times. idk. Still looking good to me.

I like how everyone is trying to act like their opinions are more valid than others. Feel free to share how you feel but don't get mad at others about how they feel for the same thing because in this situation one is as valid as the other.
It doesn't help that some opinions were formed after missing half the show.
It doesn't matter, people can think what they want. I gave my initial reaction to what I saw. I am watching the full thing now. Ya'll need to grow up.
Oh that's fine, they can. It's more in an effort to educate people on what they missed. Personally I don't care much for God of War, but I know others will and I know it was a hype start to the show.

I love Horizon: Zero Dawn. So. Damn. Good. That, Detroit: Become Human, and Death Stranding (Kojima) were the big highlights. VR was very good but the main games were the highlights.

Not even the games. Like the format itself was the best. Straight up. Game after game with no buzzwords between.
