i also play competitive games, if you don't understand why competitive games take energy, i'm not sure what to tell you
that you're being elitist and hating on the very things you're doing?
yeah
sorry buddy, I talk to people every day who are in platinum ranking shit like on League, and while I loathe that game, they're in far more competitive environments than you.
I play Rocket League on a daily basis competitively. Like top 5% in the world tier in Solo Duel... Sure it might be stressful to play at times, especially in tournaments but I love coming home after a long day and playing it. Like fuck, competitively playing Rocket League is one of my favorite things to do.

i'm $100K in debt because my college career didn't pan out the way i thought it would, but at least i have 20 extra years to slave away paying it all off because i'm just so darn healthy!!!
no one is asking you to prolong your life, just realise that some people could conceivably want to for good reasons.
It doesn't even have to be about prolonging it. Just improving quality of day to day life.
explain how feeling sore for hours in the morning because i expended all my energy lifting or running the other day, and not having any remaining energy left to do actual fun things, is improving the quality of my day to day life
Your actual fun things require the same energy as that? You're playing video games or whatever, you can do that for hours without moving what kind of physical energy do you need?? The soreness is one thing but you're only sore because you haven't done it in a while, if you're consistently working out for a moderate amount of time you don't feel like you're dying when you do the same exercise. As for the improvements, say you have a bad back because of posture, well doing exercises to improve your back strength will help to alleviate that. Say you were sore every time you stood up but did exercise for 10 - 20 minutes every couple days and it went away. Is that such a commitment?

I mean I think Luciana's point is that you might live to be 40 - 50 but the quality of your life might suffer. Various issues that add up to make it less enjoyable.
the world is shit, i'm poor as a motherfucker, and everyone's a fucking idiot but at least i have abs :DDDD
what a joke
lmao, have fun with your various nagging physical ailments that could have been prevented from spending a bit of time doing some exercise.
don't, you'll only encourage him more
It's so hard not to

On a completely unrelated note, a lot of people enjoy working out for the sake of doing it.
people do that with anything really
sad neets and depressed people (me) use video games as escapeism so they don't commit suicide for another day
normies hang out with friends or workout cuz it releases good feelings in brain
then you have the weirdos who want to get away from everyone and enjoy nature, so they go hunting
True, I just thought it was worth reiterating because we're apparently supposed to treat it as work of the devil.

I would further argue that but with Verb it's impossible as he'll do his usual bigger picture humanity is pointless thing, and his mind is already made up, so
let him keep being verb
Oh yeah, if you want to talk about wastes of time in the big picture, it's a prime example. I was just trying to succinctly state the general point. That point of course, I agree with wholeheartedly. I see people who are in their 30's or 40's who look older than my parents who are in their 60's. They workout regularly and have always been into that kind of stuff. (Mom used to be a fitness instructor.) On a completely unrelated note, a lot of people enjoy working out for the sake of doing it.

it's generally pretty easy to tell what a girl is into you for so i don't think it's that big of a deal
someone who likes you for you looks, do you really expect that to last
This too. At some point it'll come to a head and they'll either decide they like you or they're tired of you.

the problem with working out is that you will never know if a girl likes you for you, or for your body
so i'd find that plan viscerally unappealing no matter what
Does it matter really? I doubt the general populous cares enough to disassociate the two and over time the feelings will blend into a general view of the person anyway. If you require someone to like you for your mind I think you're overthinking how attraction works.
uh, yeah, it kinda matters a whole fuck of a lot, actually
i think you're underthinking how attraction should work
>be a good yet unfit and therefore unattractive person >work out >suddenly attractive >be the exact same person you were before, but now girls suddenly care about you
you shouldn't want ANYTHING to do with a girl who is that much of a shallow cunt
It's already been mentioned before but confidence plays a big role in the whole thing really. Beyond that I don't think people exclusively like others for one reason or the other really. It's a blend and being physically attractive can lead to more chances to show off your personality. Like you might have the most interesting personality in the world but if you never get a chance to talk to people then it won't do you much good. It's not one or the other, they work in tandem along with the whole added confidence deal.

On top of all of that and to your point about the first 2 points just being good things to develop in the first place, learning to listen is another great tool for general use. Paraphrasing is a good way to do this. Asking questions is another great way to get anyone talking. An interesting sort of thing is that people love talking about themselves. So asking questions (without sounding like you're interrogating them of course) is a great way to keep up conversation. "How was work today?" "Oh that's good / bad, that must've felt pretty ________. What did you say to them?" stuff like that. An advantage to this is that if she starts asking questions about you and stuff you're doing it's a decent indicator she might be interested. Also just in general listening is a pretty good habit to acquire.

i enjoyed sayori not sure if others feel the same way
the game got a little too real for me when she was explaining Spoiler her depression and all that stuff
one of my ex's was exactly the same, just like sayori she was bubbly on the outside but super, uh, not good on the inside
they said almost the same exact things so it tripped me out hard
Writing is pretty phenomenal. Spoiler When I was first playing it, it was with someone who had expressed similar sentiments and it was almost like a silent understanding between us that this was really real.

I was thinking about getting the game, but I'd like to know why it's so popular first.
Honestly the less you know about it the better it is. Just play it.

Madden 08 (of course)
This game was so freaking bad that they downgraded it from 06 and 07, and it took them until like 2011 to reinstate actual physics again
the camera work on 08 was so bad
Yeeep. I just know it for the memes. Madden 18 is actually pretty fun. I have a connected franchise mode with my brother and we're into our 4th season I think.

the only good sports game is wii sports
there are precisely six more
NBA Jam Tony Hawk's Underground Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Mario Strikers Charged Mario Tennis
MLB The Show as a series The SSX games are pretty good Madden 08 (of course) Would Rocket League be considered a Sports Game??
>american shitball
Tbh it's the best game of any major american sport to make into a video game. Most tactical and slow paced.
