And it helps that *most* of the stuff I post I don't really care about Eli seeing. Not exactly heavily guarded secrets for me. And if I did he's chill so.

just turn off your emotions with drugs, alcohol, and obsessing over tv shows

mental distractions are the best way to keep depression subsided

thats actually what ive been doing for the most part

you may have noticed (or may not have) but ive kinda mellowed out recently and im feeling a lot better, depression-wise at least

i guess im just regretting my life so far because i couldve been actually living had i had these inhibitions removed a long time ago

idk i feel like my life can finally start now but its too late to have the experiences everyone else already had
what experiences are you talking about? Nothing you can do at 15-20 that you can't do at 20-25

except like prom and all that, but I assume you did that

idk, just experiences. rites of passage i shouldve already gone through. i cant explain it but i feel like i missed something.

i mean yeah i can still do them all but im effectively an adult now. im not going to school when all of my friends and peers are so i feel like theres no time to catch up.

i went to prom yeah but i was miserable cuz i wasnt allowed to bring the girl i wanted to and i was just being lame.
I feel like a lot of people have that missing piece syndrome

you take life too seriously, even if you end up as a hobo and everyone you went to school with become marine biologists, who cares? You do what you want, not what will make you comparatively successful
marine biologist is a shitty career anway

Have fun living on a boat looking at phytoplankton all day faggots
You're an idiot.

I calls 'em like I sees 'em. I'm a whale biologist.

Fuck I could buy this game of wait and buy a game I want more.....
what game
no mans sky? Duh

Spoiler
horizon zero dawn, last guardian, dad of war, gal gun
I'd say it's worth it but like I said in the response to LC, it largely depends on what you look for when entering the game.

I'm sort of intrigued as to why Verb is interested.

The only thing I can think when I watch people play this is "Why should I play this when Elite: Dangerous already exists?"
I got Elite a while ago, just started playing it a lot a couple weeks ago and I can safely say they're two totally different games. NMS is largely ground based while Elite is largely all ships. They're not really similar in any way really. Two totally different styles.

I say that while playing with two guys who have done a ton in Elite. One of them has been to Beagle Point and both have sunk hours and hours into that game. Both have loved NMS so far and agree there are more differences than similarities.

The out of cockpit stuff is just repetitive run of the mill survival gameplay though. Sure it's neat to see the creatures the first few times and naming stuff if you find it first is kind of cool, but the novelty wears off quickly once you start to realize that the creatures are essentially lego ones and the planets end up being little more than pallet swaps. Which leaves me with nothing other than the space stuff which all seems to be sub par when compared to Elite: Dangerous.

The lack of engaging gameplay for ground stuff is why I never bought the Horizons expansion for Elite: Dangerous as well. If they ever end up adding more to it i'll bite, but at the moment I couldn't care less about it.
I mean, sure? It depends on what you look for in a game of course. The kind of gameplay No Man's Sky features just pushes all the right buttons for me so of course I'm going to like it. It's the type of game that sort of requires you to buy in to the world and become (for lack of a better term) "immersed".

Also, I can't repeat this enough, fundamentally it's not the same game as Elite. It doesn't play like Elite, the goals aren't as same as Elite, literally nothing except the setting of space is the same. If you're looking for the same style in NMS you're not going to find it.

This game is very fun. So very fun. Funny enough, even though you can't easily reach other players playing it "with" friends makes it that much better. I'm 90% sure the PS4 Share button was made for this game.

Some minor things that are a little frustrating (Inventory space, lack of bookmarking systems, etc.) Overall I'm having a great time.
I found out Sony is crediting me $50 for all the hassle they put me through with customer service so would you say it's worth $10
$10?? Absolutely.

yeah I saw this earlier it seems to address A LOT of the complaints early access people had

Didn't open this article but idk if it mentions they want to add base building and running giant space frigates later
They did mention it. Sounds pretty legit.

Interesting
So I was originally going to make a post making light of your post having only 1 word in an attempt to be funny. The thing is I have nothing that's both funny and doesn't make me come across as a dick so I'll just point it out.

1 word.
Was interesting.

Happy?
Yes.
