I mean, it's pretty much expected that her death is going to have an impact on how MC acts and thinks. That itself could easily be the "role" that she has.

You get those kind of players everywhere. In BF4, they were mostly the kids who ran support and never knew how to drop ammo, because they just wanted to use the big shiny atatatatata gun, sit in the corner, and never help anyone.

Don't know how much it's going to cost, so I gave them a credit card with no spending limit.

Try this out. I have a few friends come to me asking for a PC build for under $1000. I beefed up a few parts of it for you, and the motherboard is a bit pricy, but I think this would do you well. It costs $1100 without the peripherals, so if you plan on buying a monitor, rather than plugging into an already owned TV or something, getting an expensive keyboard/mouse, school won't give you an OS and you want to pay for it, etc... then I'd downgrade the case first, motherboard second, and GPU if you absolutely must. Overall, I prefer: -Noctua NH-D14 CPU cooler (this massive fan that is silent: just need to be careful how tall your RAM chips are) -EVGA GeForce GTX GPUs -i7s are nice (and I've got one), but i5s are fine I'd love some critique from other PC builders here. It's essentially a cheapened version of my personal parts preference, aside from the GPU. Other than that, OP, building a computer is not much more complicated than figuring out how to plug cords in the right places. The only thing that makes it seem so daunting is how scary working with expensive hardware can be.

No.
I've spent the last 2-3 years programming the most mediocre shit in the world, never being anywhere near good enough to relate my stuff to that of a "real" developer. Only until these last few months has everything I've learned in my time of reading APIs, textbooks on AI, game engine architecture, etc... started to come together.
A year ago, I could make a fairly buggy flash game with nothing impressive. Now, I'm working with networked multiplayer games over cloud servers in Unity/Unreal, procedurally generated models + terrain, custom lighting shaders, etc... in a custom game engine using DirectX and OpenGL. You just got to keep at it, because it picks up if you find something interesting.
Once again: you're really letting people on this forum get to you too much, dude. Also, calling you a mediocre game dev isn't constructive criticism: the industry would be dead if devs quit every time kids on forums said "this sucks".
You're right man. Games would be a thing of the past if that happened, and I remembered how I got my passion for wanting to make games 3 years ago, and I still do want to continue.
We should collaborate on a project sometime, I could use your netcoding skills, I don't know netcoding.
I'd be down, but preferably in the summer, when I have more time. I'm also in the process of setting up a blog with Unity and Unreal networking tutorials from scratch, which I'll link to you sometime if you'd like.

4's Cortana model is too static. Not much light passes through many parts of her body (0% through her hair, the navy parts, etc...). The actual model is the best looking (I think the boobs are a bit too ridiculously large though), but needs to be textured better.
I like H2A's and H3's the best. Halo 3 had the coolest animated body: the way she "data" streamed through her body and hair was awesome.

343 probably gets several "I know how to save Halo" emails a day. That was like the best feature in the entire game aside from just the story
It was the only feature in the game aside from the story.

I'm exactly the same way. I got to the part in NV where you meet this guy called Mr House, and the story starts to really unfold, but I was so unmotivated to do anything.
Fallout NV is definitely a game with more depth than 3, better RPG mechanics, etc... but I couldn't get into it solely because the environment wasn't interesting or memorable enough for me. Fallout 3 had all the metros, the ruined city, which took up a massive chunk of the map, the uniquely themed towns, the famous monuments, etc...
Rumor is Fallout 4 will take place in Boston, so if it implemented NV mechanics/depth into an interesting environment like that (bias because I'm from there), then I'd be sold.

I was thinking the bird could possibly be a chicken. My reasoning being, as you mentioned, the eye's look a little irregular for an average bird: I think they'd be pretty fitting for a kooky chicken. I definitely see a yellow beak in the initial teaser, though. I'm leaning towards frog, but a gecko/lizard is definitely possible.

Good game, but I keep getting my ass raped because I think I missed some crucial opportunities. I have shitty armor and weapons, and am running around Redcliffe with the minimum number of party members who get dropped almost instantly.

Hidden character was found: A turtle or a frog or something? He's definitely the lower set of eyes in the initial picture: I think I see a beak on the upper guy.

Right? It's been a while since we've seen a really good world-based collectible platformer, so I really hope this game goes places. I'd consider throwing a few bucks their way if they make a good Kickstarter.

Not too long ago, I made a thread about Playtonic Games, a team of former Rareware employees (back when it was good), who want to make a spiritual successor to Banjo Kazooie. Well, they've shown off more recently: -Grant Kirkhope, the original Banjo Kazooie composer, will be working on this. -They will be launching a Kickstarter in May -It will be a 3D platformer with the same humor and audience of BK, so don't expect anything like Conker. -Planned to be on PC, but want to bring it to other platforms -They mentioned the collectibles in Donkey Kong 64, and noted that they want collectibles to mean something -Said the protagonists are hidden somewhere in these 2 pictures

Yeah, it's pretty cool how those work. That said, I don't think that's the kind of ammo the average person should have. It's just overkill, and it'd be pretty easy to accidentally hurt someone aside from the intended target if you're splitting 1 projectile into 9 or 10.
