« on: April 26, 2015, 08:33:29 PM »
If you remember a while back, my FN Five Seven was seized by ATF because FN messed up its registration.

After a long wait and fighting. I managed to finally get my pistol back and a complete refund for the trouble!

Gaming / The Only Legit Reason Pre-Ordering is Acceptable.
« on: April 17, 2015, 10:35:42 AM »
I always see talk about why pre-ordering games is bad and you should not do it. Its always contains reasons pertaining to bonuses, paying for a game that may suck, etc

But there is one reason, one totally legit reason that I never see discussed. And that is when you pre-order a game at like Best Buy or Gamestop; you now have the ability to pay off that game over time!

Instead of forking over $60 right then and there. You can put in a few at a time and it doesn't break the bank. Say what you want, but $60 is $60. And it would be great to not burn yourself all at once.

This is the ONLY reason why I think a pre-order is a viable option.

Serious / Should you be able to use self defense against a Cop?
« on: April 10, 2015, 03:03:56 PM »
Cops have fallen onto the controversy stage more so lately than recent memory. With all the shootings and cries of murder, should you be allowed to defend yourself from a Cop? Say the Cop is about to use deadly force on you, and you have done nothing to provoke this action. Should you have the right to fight back to prevent your own death?

I believe that even if this were to happen, the "official" opinion would automatically swing towards the Cops side. Because 1) Cop! 2) You're not a Cop! And then 3) The Cops are the ones on the side of the law. Its slippery slope here, one that begs debate.

What do you think?

The Flood / Do you THINK in the second language you speak?
« on: April 09, 2015, 02:14:27 PM »
Its one thing I have been really curious about. For those of you who are bilingual--lets say your native language is French, and your second is English. When you speak to somebody in English, do you also THINK in English? Or do you instinctively turn back to French?

Gaming / I keep marveling at how well Rocketman did at this...
« on: April 09, 2015, 11:13:16 AM »
Oh look its Brute shilling again... Not really, this is about what somebody else made.

As you may remember Rocket made a montage a few months ago out of his Halo MCC Livestreams for the Twitch channel. Many of you did not like the song, but praised the editing. And other praised both editing and song choice. Anyway, I find myself going back to it because I really like how much attention to detail he put into it. He timed the moments with the music, added nice screen effects, nice use of slo-mo. It all around does its job of presenting him as a bad ass!

And holy shieeetttt man it gets real! I like my horror movies and like it when somebody does something new and inventive. This is one of those! Slow burn horror that eats away at you and makes you paranoid. THAT IS GREAT!!

The premise is that after sex, this thing starts walking to you. WALKING. It can be anybody, and it never stops, you can never let it touch you or you die. Simple as that, but man is it great when you see it.

Gaming / Sep7agon Gaming now sponsored by EA Ronku!
« on: April 01, 2015, 08:52:10 AM »
Thats right folks. EA Ronku has offered me a nice sponsorship to feature all of EA's upcoming games. This will include more Battlefield Hardline footage sadly, but if I can pull this off. It will pay dividends for us all here. Imagine this place growing due to the audience I can reach with this!

Since this is a sponsorship, money is involved in some way. Like featuring EA games before and after release and also on Reviews. I do realize that this is like going to the dark side, but for the sake of transparency. I posted the entire discussion below!

Below is forms I agreed to.

The Flood / Zion - The New World
« on: March 31, 2015, 08:29:04 PM »
Wrote this story years ago. Was probably one of the most well received on B.Old. I can post the rest of it in spurts if its so desired.
____________________________________
Chapter 1.
Emergence of a new home.

Zion. Once believed to be a heavenly city of religious nature. A city of peace, a city of new life. The Human race has been through many trials; such as war, famine, plague, and now the death of their home planet. Since the last hundred years, scientists have searched the stars for a new home. With each passing year, Earth steps closer to destruction.

In an act of desperation, many humans took to the stars, hoping to find a suitable home-- but that was many years ago. Some have given up hope.

Until now.

"Houston, this is Razgrez 1. Scanners are picking up an atmospheric anomaly in grid 1.1.5. over." The scanner inside the ship bleeped loudly through everyone's ears. Something has begun to form beyond the Moons horizon.

"Razgrez 1, this is Houston. We are assessing the anomaly at this time. Stand by for update, over." The ship shakes violently, as the anomaly becomes more and more severe. The crew aboard are on the edge of their seats, as they witness a miracle take place. From the blackness of space emerges giant rocks, some the size of small planets. All massing together at the center of the anomaly.

The giant space rocks begin to take a shape, as if someone was carving them with their own hands. Flashes of light shine from the formation, blinding the crew in the ship, and also everyone down below on Earth.

The Earths inhabitants are at a stand still. Everyone, and everything is now witnessing the birth of a new home.

"Its, Its a planet" one of the crewmen said in shock. The size of this new planet is twice that of Earths. Watching the planet form right before their own eyes, the crews hearts pound, each beat sending a thought of amazement into their minds.

A sudden flash of light erupts from the planet. Temporarily blinding everyone who gazes at it.

Once the dust settled, and their vision returned to normal. Behold, out in the darkness holds a perfectly formed planet.

The size of it sends a chill down the crews spines. The home they have been searching for all of these years, has now formed at their front door.

"Razgrez 1, this is Houston. Your orders are now to send a research probe to the new planet, and await in orbit for I.R. confirmation over."

Not listening to the last transmission. The crews' Captain unbuckles himself from his chair. "Sir, what are you doing" his co-pilot said to him. Floating around the ship like a fish in water, the Captain places himself at the telescope.

"Sir, we have new orders. We cannot waste time with this right now" his co-pilot said again. "I know our orders, Lieutenant. Stand down, I have to see this" the Captain said vigorously.

Looking at the planet through his telescope, he can see something forming at the surface. From there current distance, he cant make out what it is. "Crew. Prep the ship for probe launch, we have a planet to get to."

Chapter 2.
A Miracle From God.

"Set right flaps at 20 degrees. OK now take us 2.56 knots into planetary orbit." The Captain, and his Lieutenant shifted the craft into the proper obit line around the new planet. "Captain, the research probe is prepped and ready for launch" one of the crewmen said over the intercom.

"Houston, this is Razgrez 1. We are at t-minus 20 seconds for probe launch. Stand by I.R. frequency data over." The Captain flips numerous switches to make sure this probe launch will not fail. Checking the flight plan twice wile also looking at the computer data reassures him that the launch will be a success.

"Razgrez 1, this is Houston. We are a go for probe launch. Start the countdown at t-minus 20 seconds. The entire world is watching you, make us proud. Over."

With a sudden burst of life, the research probe launched itself from the ship. The specter trail from the flame bursts lit a path way into the mystical beyond. "Captain, we have touchdown of probe" the crewman handling the controls stated. "Roger that. Houston, this is Razgrez 1. We have touchdown of research probe. Awaiting further instruction over" the Captain said.

"My God! Captain you need to see this" the crewman said. Floating over to the control station, the Captain can see a thing of beauty on the screen. Less than five hours ago this planet has already began to show signs of life. Now, it thrives with trees, grassy hilltops which span as far as the sight of the human eye. A true miracle, a new home at long last.

"Houston, this is Razgrez 1. Uhh are you guys seeing what I am? This planet has already grown a full natural habitat over" the Captain said in shock. Gazing at the monitor like it was the fist time he ever seen beauty, the sheer amount of trees and life that has already grown stunned him.

"Razgrez 1, this is Houston. We do see the life on the planet, and so does the rest of the world. You have given us what we lost so long ago. Hope!"

The humans below all stare at the new planet. For the first time in history, they all feel like one unified race.

The time for searching, has now ended. Colonization, is about to commence.

"What will we call this planet sir" the crewman asked. Looking down at the planet, reminded him of a city. A holy city, a city that brings peace, and prosperity to those who seek it. "Zion" he says to the crewman. "We will call it Zion."

Gaming / My how far things have come... UPDATE
« on: March 31, 2015, 07:49:36 PM »
Its a post about my channel and the progress that has been made since I started doing this. The first Review I ever posted was on Spec Ops The Line back in January 2013. As you can see the editing and voice was total crap back then.
YouTube

For those of you who do not know the story, I started off on B.Net (when it was good) with short written reviews. Some of you may remember them if you were around. After several posts, and changes later I started to gain a following. Eventually they became so big there I was told I should have my own site. I put that idea off for some time, because maintaining a site is a lot of work. BUT, when Bungie decided to change over to the new style and axed the old one. I figured it was time to give it a go.

BruteReviews.com was created in November of 2012. Many members of this place were there. Like HurtfulTurkey and TopWargamer. It was a relatively successful site, until I started the videos...
http://www.brutereviews.com/

Once I bought a capture card and released with Spec Ops. Things started to kick into high gear. I gained many friends, but also enemies like Toxifies, and so on. Eventually I went on and on and got better and better at my hobby. Gaining subs in the hundreds. With the release of videos like "How Not To Be a Noob at Battlefield 4" and so on, it felt like I was unstoppable. Until life happened...

On April of last year, I announced that my channel would close with the release of my "final" review of Infamous Second Son. I wanted to send things off with a bang! So I poured my heart and soul into it. My passion was always to deliver informative and entertaining pieces that had you go away with two things! Info needed on a game, and a smile on your face.

____________________________________

It wasn't until August of last year, after several months off that I decided to come back!
YouTube

And came back I did, with a massive bang. A late review of Wolfenstein The New Order ensured the return, but it was clear a new face was needed. During that time, I received many PMs on B.net about a new home. A place for people who were sick of Bungies shtic. SoporoficSlash was the pm I noticed and cause me to visit and register for this place. Saying that there was a demand for me.

And then things took off once again.

With the release of Shadow of Morder and Alien Isolation vids, Cheat and Isara came to me with an offer. An offer to become a regular provider to this place. Have a new home that I can be a part of; to draw support from and give to. While the idea of me handling another channel seemed great, I had another idea. I pitched the notion of me rebranding myself. Become one with this place, I had the following, I had the numbers. So whats there to loose? Out of this came Sep7agon Gaming.
YouTube

And things have been amazing since. Sure there were some bumps in the road with collaborative differences and other things. But the positives have surpassed the negative by miles and it has totally been worth it! Some of you could not care any less, some of you love it. Each to his own! But I simply cannot deny the effect this place has had on me and my work.

The quality of my work has increased since that beginning day, just look at my most recent review of Battlefield Hardline. Things will continue to improve as I learn more and more and continue to grow my numbers. I hope to continue to deliver on the quality that many of you have come to expect, and I cannot begin to share my gratitude. Things are going to get bigger, with attention now being drawn from people like AngryJoe.

So, here is to another year! Thank you for watching, and I will see you again soon.

The Flood / Are you a Country or a City Person?
« on: March 30, 2015, 12:52:52 PM »
Do you find yourself loving the peace and quiet of living secluded from the populated areas? Or do you just love the constant motion of a City, with everything around you ready to go?

What do you see yourself as and why not the other?

I am a country person. I like my peace and quiet and making things myself. I like growing my food, raising cattle and getting fresh eggs from the chickens and even raise meat chickens for eating... Oh and also hunting in my own back yard for Deer, Rabbits, Wild Hogs, Squirrel, Ducks, Geese, Doves, etc. Its nice to have a place all to yourself without worrying about what the people next to you think. If I feel like going out back and shooting my guns, I can do that without the threat of cops.

52
It is a long time until Mortal Kombat X releases, and I feel that something needs to be done for Bloodborne. But I dont know what... Should I release a how to guide like I have done for Battlefield? Because I have become quite good at this and learned a butt load of tricks and what to and what not to do. OR I can jump on a Review for this game!

What do you think?

The Flood / Do you know the difference between IGNORANT and IGNANT?
« on: March 29, 2015, 10:12:10 AM »
Ignorant as we should know, is just you not knowing something because you have not been exposed to it. Not an insult. I am ignorant on many things; like how to fly a plane and im ok with that...

Now IGNANT means something like, you're stranded on an island and there is a Helicopter right there amd its your only way off. You dont know how to fly it, but there is a detailed book that will teach you how perfectly. However, you just dont do it. That is just flat out ignant.

Who is a person you know that is IGNANT and why?

« on: March 28, 2015, 12:39:22 PM »
I decided I wanted to prank some people. Before I left my house, I has some old pictures of me when I was graduating High School. So I grabbed them and left.

When I got there, I went up to total strangers with my phone in my hand and asked this "Hey would you mind taking a picture of me real fast?" They said yes and thought i was gonna give them my phone. But instead I reached into my pocket, grabbed one of those pictures, gave it to them said "Awesome! Thanks!" and casually walked away. Prolly the most fun I had in a while...

Shoulda recorded it because it turned out so great! I may have to do this again...

Gaming / How Would You Lable Your Playstyle?
« on: March 26, 2015, 06:15:21 PM »
In the most common style of play, as in the behavior you have while you are playing a variety of games. What would you label it as?

I am what I would call CAUTIOUSLY AGGRESSIVE. I like moving fast, and attacking with sheer force. But I remain aware of my environments and what is happening around me. This shines for me in Battlefield and many FPS games, and it is what is hooking me currently in Bloodborne.

Gaming / Reasons Why - Bloodborne is AMAZING!
« on: March 26, 2015, 03:39:14 PM »
Ok, first off I will say that I have never finished any Souls game. I did start off with Demons Souls, and then Dark Souls--but never finished them. So when Bloodborne dropped, it took some convincing to get me interested. And boy oh boy did it work!

The first moments in the game were something I have never truly experienced and appreciated. This is a TRUE game right down to the core. It is not for casual playing and it is meant to be played by a thinking person who learns by their past failures. Which leads me to a few reasons why this game is amazing!
_________________________________________________ ____________

1. MOBILITY: As basic as that may sound, mobility in this game literally means the difference in survival and constant death. Enemies are fast, extremely OP which presents a mandatory use of the dodge. Keeping out of reach of their swings or grasp is vital to landing those devastating blows. Especially with the bigger enemies like that big armored guy with the giant axe (that guy at the beginning area). I still have not killed that guy, but I plant to do so once I power up some more... Anyway, I love the blend of aggressiveness and caution playstyle I have quickly adapted to.

2. EVERY DEATH IS A LESSON:

Every time I died, it was my fault. Every enemy IS powerful, but it has not made me feel like it is impossible to beat them. With every death, I learned how to attack that enemy from a different angle. I learned their behavior, their attack patterns, and where they always hang around... That is until you meet your first Boss. Lets just say I was not expecting a giant monster (Cleric Beast) to jump off a building onto a bridge. That took me by surprise! After soiling my pants and swiftly dying over, and over, and over, and over again. I learned many things on how that Boss worked and later returned and finally took it down by myself! Absolutely NOTHING in games made feel that awesome!

3. THE STORY IS YOUR OWN: Sure the game has a cryptic story that you can uncover with exploration and its very interesting! But the TRUE story is your journey to conquer all these powerful beasts. Much like the Nemesis System in Shadow of Morder, your encounters as your search for where you are supposed to be next, and the things you fight along the way is a story seared into YOUR memory. Your constant deaths and failures sture something inside you to gather your courage and take revenge! Returning to the spot you died last, wiser and stronger than before and finally striking down that enemy...

The feeling of accomplishment is unparalleled.

4. SQUIRTLE, CHARMANDER, or BULBASAUR:

Yes I know that is PoKemon... Remember at the beginning of those games you had to pick between three starter PoKemon? Each one was unique and had their own strengths and weaknesses. Same thing in this game, only you will choose between three melee trick weapons and two firearms. Then upgrading that weapon far beyond its original capabilities is truly something. That weapon, sorta gets better like you. Its always by your side, and learning its use will be vital. When you fail, its not the weapons fault. Its just a tool, but a tool that is always at your side. A tool that may look like nothing, but it has the ability to slay monsters of unimaginable strength.
_________________________________________________ __

As you can see, I am in love. Bloodborne is my favorite game of the year as of now. It has been a while since games have been soooooo right.
