Gaming / Welp, Nintendo says *F You! Give me money!" To YouTubers.

Nintendo has shown off their partnership program for YouTube. Pretty much, you pay them and Google and you get your bit of the revenue. However, they have to approve your video and if its not to their liking then you wont be seeing it online bub!

Well this kinda sucks for Sceptile, I know he is working on Nintendo related stuff for the channel...

If you play Airsoft, post pics of what guns you use!

G&G GK5c

Heavy as all hell, but an amazing rifle with great range and accuracy. Its full metal internally and externally with the highest quality gear box you can get right out of the box.

WE Samurai Edge

Light and very easy to spit bb's down range fast. This thing has taken a beating and still works. It fell out of my holster once and fell into a pond, and it still works.

The Flood / What if - Anakin was concieved by Palpatine?
« on: January 28, 2015, 02:34:58 PM »
Ok, as absurd as this may all sound right now, hear me out. Since Lucus decided to make the Force microscopic with midichlorians and all that jazz, a little theory popped into my head about the birth of Anakin.

In The Phantom Menace, Anakins mother explains that he had no father, that she randomly got prego and gave birth while never actually having sex. Later on, Qui-Gon suggest that he was conceived by the midichlorians-thus speaking towards that Chosen One prophecy that he would destroy the SIth... Moving on to The Revenge of the Sith, during the Opera House scene with Palpatine telling Anakin an old Sith legend, he said that a Sith lord had the power to use the Force on the midichlorians--to create life (this was Darth Plagueis). The whole conversation banters back and forward the suggestion that Palpatine may or may not know this power (and we never see it).

But what if! What if, Palpatine did know this power, and influenced the birth of Anakin--while unknowingly fulfilling the prophecy which leads to his own demise.

What do you think of this theory?

Yeah the whole thing was just to influence Anakin to join the Dark SIde, but myah... Myah is say!!! MYAH!!!!

Gaming / Why did/didnt you play Spec Ops: The Line?
« on: January 28, 2015, 10:27:41 AM »
Why did or didnt you play this fabulous game Spec Ops: The Line? Did you not play it because it looked like random generic shooter #2000? Did you not play it because of its demo? Well, if those are your excuses, shame on you-go play it!

I can literally sit here for hours and talk your ear off about how this game is anything but generic, or bad. Sure its shooting mechanics are nothing unique, but it works. If you're one of those people that played the demo back in the day, you are missing out on what makes this game amazing. You see, the opening levels of the game are supposed to be your team of elite soldiers killing insurgents to rock music. THAT IS ON PURPOSE! It is to remind you what shooters are to you today, and then turns that on its head later on.

Spec Ops: The Line is an adaptation of The Heart of Darkness. You can argue that its like Apocalypse Now and I would agree!

Below are a few videos on this game. The first one is SPOILER FREE, the second and third are ones that dive deep into the game and show you what makes this game effective.

The Flood / Why do I like eating squirrel?
« on: January 27, 2015, 12:36:04 PM »
Seriously!? Have you ever tried it? Some of the most tender and flavorful meat you can find climbing the trees in your backyard.

Amazing when fried with some gravy. Easy to clean too when you. Not like hogs or deer where it takes ages to skin and gut.

Ever tried it?

Yeah. Many of you may have never even had this thought in your lives. But its common here in Texas this close to Leausiana.

News / Stranded Deep - Early Access Report
« on: January 26, 2015, 12:00:22 PM »

Ok. Let me start off by saying this, Stranded Deep is showing a lot of great potential! Its an enjoyable game thats pretty easy to learn, and it runs well on older hardware. Its world is procedurally generated and random. No game is the same, no island is the same. and its like a playable version of the movie Cast Away.

As typical with these games. You survived a plane crash, and now you're alone on your own little tropical island. With bugs... Lots and lots of bugs. Where do I start? The game runs pretty well for starters. But that does not mean its not broken right now.

During my playtime, the game dropped to 1FPS in sputters when I was running it at a stable 60FPS. When ever I opened a hatch on a wrecked ship on my island, I jumped down into and could not get back out. There is no climbing mechanic, so I had no choice but to restart my game.

Just recently I discovered that the Beds are broken. They only allow you to sleep at night, but even when it was night it kept on telling me "you can only sleep at night." and wouldnt let me in. After than I decided to get in my raft and go to another island, but about half way there my Raft vanished and I was dropped into the shark infested waters.

So I figured I was screwed thanks to a bug, but nope. The sharks didnt attack me once, and I even tried to provoke them. During that time I was under water, and when I swam back up I found my raft floating in front of me...

I tried to climb back on, but as soon as I did--It vanished again and I was stranded in the water with sharks that wont kill me.

Great!

Dont worry. I dont do shit!

Those are the only things I have encountered as of this build. The game evokes a great feeling of dread when you dive into the shark infested water, its like a playable version of Cast Away. And that is not a bad thing. But it is so unfinished and merely a shell of what its supposed to be...

!!!!!WAIT TO BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!

Septagon / The Cookie Game!
« on: January 24, 2015, 12:23:03 PM »
What if there was a neat little meta game in the site that involved a little searching. Little clickable cookies would be placed cleverly on the site behind letters in the logo, in pinned threads, all over the place. You would have to pay close attention to find one.

All of this would count up on a leaderboard and the #1 spot would get a special custom nameplate "COOKIE MONSTER"

Not only would this bring fun to the site, but it would draw notice to pinned threads too and other ones. What do you guys think of this?
__________________________

Another search game, would involve all kinds of custom nameplates that are categorized my how rare they are. You would have to search for those too.

Well, its been nice knowing you!

"In 2015, unchecked climate change, global nuclear weapons modernizations, and outsized nuclear weapons arsenals pose extraordinary and undeniable threats to the continued existence of humanity," read a statement from the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. "World leaders have failed to act with the speed or on the scale required to protect citizens from potential catastrophe. These failures of political leadership endanger every person on Earth."

It seems the devs and publishers of Dying Light are listening and actually hearing our hate when they cut out a key feature of a game for DLC. The Be The Zombie mode is no longer a preorder bonus, it is now free!

The Flood / What do you feel about this? UPDATE
« on: January 22, 2015, 08:47:21 PM »
What if you signed up to a forum, brand new person there and right when you hit that register button, you are treated to a bad ass intro. One that showcases the community and many of the things that go on in it, all while playing some epic music and welcoming you to the site.

What would you think of something like that?

I personally have never EVER seen a site do that. If that were to happen and it done well, I think I would be pretty hyped.

Had an idea to do something like that. Threw this together real quick. Is this too cringy? It would only pop up as an embed player and with no auto play.

The Flood / FireFighter Horror Stories. *Not For The Faint of Heart*
« on: January 19, 2015, 09:06:14 AM »
Since I am in a sharing mood. I feel like discussing the horrific events that I have seen in my former years as a volunteer firefighter.

A wonderful experience it was as a whole. There were still some very haunting moments that plague my mind to this day.

I was in High School at this point in time. I always kept my radio in my truck in case I get a call when I left... Sure enough, one day that thing went off and said "Winnie/Stowell Volunteer Fire Department please be en rout to a 1050 Major (Code for: Bad Wreck)"

Only this was not a bad wreck like you would expect it to be. It was not some pile up, or a collision of two or more vehicles. Nope, it just so happened to be a Motorcycle. A Crotch Rocket to be exact. This guy had the bright idea to nearly top 200MPH on his bike on a highway.

He was going so fast that he did not notice the gaping pot hole in front of him. His front tire hit it, and threw him and the bike head over tail for over 100 yards.

it LITERALLY tore him down to nothing! The same thing happened with his bike. Where his remains ended, his bike began several feet onward. Just a heap of remains in front of what was seemingly red paint.

There was nothing we could do really, besides clear the bike and create a containment zone. Just seeing something like that, gave me a new outlook and gratefulness to be alive. The dumbest of things can go so wrong so fast.

Literally, this guy was alive just a few minutes ago at that moment. And then, gone.

STORY 2

This one was during the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. (Now you can guess where I live) We got called out to help search and rescue after the storm had passed. We had to go down to the beach, which was 15 minutes from us. This storm reshaped out entire coast line! Houses, land, everything was gone into the gulf!

The place pretty much looked like the wasteland in Fallout 3. Only much more surreal.

Well, once we were on scene. We started off searching the houses on the Bay side. The houses were nothing more than twigs and the cars were all piled together in the water, or buried half way in the sand. We started searching this one ruined house, and what we found was (for lack of a better word) horrifying.

Four bodies were there, covered in sand and pale as the clouds. It was very easy to tell that they were a family because it was a Husband and Wife, and two children!!!!!

GOD DAMN CHILDREN!!!!! No more than 7 years AT LEAST!

They had marking on their arms. It was faint, but you could still make it out. They wrote their social security numbers on each of their arms for identification.

Now, before the storm hit the entire area was under MANDATORY evacuation orders. Yet these people stayed, and kept their children in harms way. I don't know them, but to put your own kids in that kind of place with a storm coming!?

I still don't know what possessed them to believe that it as a good idea to this day... An entire family, gone because they did not head the warnings.

If only you could imagine my anger when I saw this!

In a way, me doing those youtube videos helps get my mind off of it.

Serious / Your Views on Corporal Punishment?
« on: January 17, 2015, 10:03:21 AM »
So, many people are slip when it comes to this subject. Some are in favor, some are not. Some view it as child abuse, some view it as discipline. What do you think of it?

Now, I was raised in old school style. If me or my little brother acted up, we got spankings. But it wasnt out of sheer anger, my parents took the time to explain why this was happening, that they love me and that I was doing something bad or whatever. I think your stance on it may come from how you were raised in your home.
