Had another story of mine I wanted to share. Its when I was a volunteer FireFIghter, its kinda a horror story so be warned--things are pretty messed up.
Ok, there is an area in my town that is home to many vagrants and druggies. In that area is an old rice factory that has been there since the 60s. Its a common gathering place for them, and practically a haven for any schmuck with an addiction... Well, this place caught fire big time! I mean the flames and smoke were so high it was like a giant bomb went off. The entire building was hidden behind the flames, which made getting close to the building next to impossible thanks to the heat coming off it. I manned the deck gun on top of our engine, thats like a little turret on top of the cab (but shoots water). After firing that thing off for several minutes, we started to see something through the smoke and flames.
Turns out, it was three people on fire. Two of them flailed around on the ground screaming and rolling around while the other ran outside doing the same thing. They screamed so damn loud that you could hear it for a mile. It was one of those ear stabbing screams, high pitched and full of pain type things. Never ever heard something like that in my life!
The guys rushed over to him to put out the fire, but he was already dead when he hit the ground. IDK if you ever had to smell burning flesh, but trust me; its something you would never want to smell. Its worse than nearly anything you can imagine, its gagging, and sticks with you for a long time. Seeing a Cow branded is one thing, but this was a whole body aflame.
After a few hours and several gallons of water, the fire was in control. Bodies of those three people were beyond recognizable. Cant tell who was what. The ones inside pretty much fused with the floor...
I never did find out who they were, prolly cause I didnt want to. But I did learn what caused that fire--somebody had the smart idea to not turn off their camper stove and left an open flame around it. Before you know it, BOOM!
IDK why I remember that one. Its just one of those things that makes you appreciate life.

Ok, figured I would get these out right now. Things are going swimmingly in The Order, substantial progress has been made (not that it matters cause length). I figured I would let you guys know my thought before I render my final judgements. I have a balanced one with both negatives and positives. The Order 1886 so far has been a good time in terms of its story, setting, and the absolutely brain melting visuals work in tandem with it to give you an interesting, and well deeeeeeetailed world to get lost in (well, your imagination anyway. The game is linear)
Based upon the 9 chapters I have completed, the story has good delivery. The acting is superb, lip synching is the best I have seen outside of LA Noire, and it manages to convey sheer dread with other blends of atmosphere. In short, the game makes you believe you're there. Visuals look blurry at a distance thanks to its depth of field filter (all for that silly "cinematic experience"). The back bars can get in the way when you need to see whats out there when the bullets fly, but thankfully its not as horrid as The Evil WIthin's was.
As for the shooting side of things, it holds the game back. Good time in terms of story, but an average shooter at best with cool guns, and some intense battles. However, its obsessive QTE's and overly long cutscenes make this feel like a more interactive Heavy Rain.
Oh by the way... Penis. Shockingly well rendered, and realistic penis.
REVIEW COMING NEXT WEEK!

*THE POINT: If you have ever been bullied by somebody in school, please share if you would like to.*
When I was in School, I was not a really sociable person. I was very shy, and kinda insecure about myself. Naturally I became a target for the narrow minded children of that time. Outside of the usual name calling, I was beaten, pushed down, de-humanized, and down right treated like an animal.
When I was in 8th grade a kid walked up to me and just started punching me in the face. I don't know why to this day, it was horrifying watching a circle forming around you with about 30 other kids screaming, and laughing. It felt like being a pit with a giant spot light directly on you. And there is absolutely nothing that you can do to get out of it.
On top of that, I was constantly told that I was worthless. I was nothing more than a waste of meat and I would always be that way. Now, I know that is not true--but at that time, when you're told that enough--you start to believe it. I dreaded going back to school, I looked for ANY excuse to stay home. I cried myself to sleep many nights, hoping and praying that it would all just go away. So that I could fade into obscurity, and recover what was left of my soul.
But still, it came. And the more I stood by and did nothing, the worse it got. There were times where I fought back and won. I was proud of myself, but then it came right back again.
My school could do nothing. All they could do was put them in suspension, or call their parents. But that just made things worse, either their parents whispering in their ear, or a misplaced sense of revenge cause them to lash back.
...By that time, I have had enough of it. I wanted it all to end in one fail swoop.
When I was in 9th grade, I was planning to kill myself. I had it all planned out, I would leave a long note beside me, take lots of painkillers (or whatever there was) and just drift away overnight.
There I was, seconds away from popping the first pill. Then something happened, everything around me faded and I saw something. It was like a voice in a cold silence and it spoke to me.
It told me that "this is not how you will end. There is much more to life than what you're feeling now. You will go on, have a blessed life, you will have a family, a loving wife, children, and everything that you have experienced will have no hold over you anymore."
I dont know why I believed it, but I did. I put those things away and believed it. ____________________________
Now here I am. About a decade later, I graduated college, I got married last June to my absolute Best Friend ever!
...And absolutely NONE of the things that I have gone through have held me back once. I was so afraid of life here, that I was willing to cut it short. It was but a fragment of the life that I will live. If somebody tells you that you're nothing, they are wrong! You're a human, your life has meaning! Let NOBODY on this planet tell you otherwise.
Because somebody out there loves you.

Well, this debunks the length rumor for me. Easy mode took them 7-8 hours. I am planning on doing the hardest for Review. _______________________________________________ "JVM, a french magazine (which is by the way holding a Masterclass Keynote this Thursday in Paris with Ru Weerasuriya from Ready At Dawn Studios) has published its review of the new PS4 Big Exclusive ahead of the launch day this Friday. They said that despite the pacing of the game not so good due to a lot of cut scenes (although interactive at some point with QTE)representing half of the game that last for them 7-8 hours on easy mode, the first new IP from RAD looks absolutely gorgeous, with some good shooter gameplay with only some bad stealth part, a very good soundtrack and voice acting but most of all, the atmosphere of the game as well as the universe of The Order is so compelling that you want to completely dive in and immerse yourself" http://n4g.com/news/1673609/the-order-1886-first-legit-review-15-20

Remember that first time (if you played Half Life 2) you stepped foot into Ravenholm? What was that like for you? For me; I still get freaked by that level to this day. It was really the first time I ever experienced something like that in a game with that amount of atmosphere. With its mix of slow zombies with the fast ones, headcrabs and the poison headcrabs and also the unforgettable Father Grigori...

I hear people toss this around all the time. "Oh thats more of a movie than a game.." Or what ever. What defines a Game for you? What defines an Interactive Movie?
Would you use that as a derpgstory term? "Interactive movie"

Its very rare today to see a completed, printed copy of a game manual in any game. Now its all digital, or barely a pamphlet. Its so sad, I used to read those things for good backstory and character bio's. If it was one from MGS, then I read it for moves. What was the last great printed game manual you have seen? (I am not talking about the strategy guides, its the ones inside the game case) _____________________________________ As much as I hate to admit it, The Evil Within has a fantastic manual! It was nice and thick and full of stuff. But, I still hated the game...

Now riddle me this. If you only have one left--is it still your left nut?

Time for another Sep7agon Game Night folks! Vote for the game to play this time, and for those of you who cannot make it, this game night will be streamed to the Sep7agon Twitch channel (if its a game we can stream). No dates and times yet on when this will take place. Just getting the suggestion out of the way. UPDATE: The poll has been RESET and condensed down to the most popular and a new choice.
There will be TWO Game Nights going on at this time. One for the Console people, and the other for PC. Both games will be determined by the highest voted ones in that category. They will happen at the same time.
GAME NIGHT TIME/DATE FOR CONSOLES: Saturday Feb 14th @ 6:00pm Central Time USA
GAME NIGHT TIME/DATE FOR PC: Monday Feb 16th @ 6:00pm Central Time USA (if this time is no good, then say so and what you can make)

Ok, so you have a food that is native to your area. But when somebody from someplace else makes is, they seriously mess it up. What was it and who did it?
Around here we have Crawfish up the ass when the season comes around. We make them a number of ways, but it always comes out properly flavorful and spicy. However, when you go up north all of that goes away. Its extremely bland, they don't properly season them by getting them to soak up the juices. And for some stupid reason; instead of putting in corn, potatoes, sausage, or even onions, I see damned Beats, Squash, or even Eggplant, or even nothing at all!

A "legit" owner of the game that got it early somehow rated the game. "It seems like legit retail copy of PlayStation 4 exclusive title from Ready At Dawn, The Order: 1886 are starting to be available to few lucky gamers, and YouTube user Lorenzo Tomei is one of them. Lorenzo posted over 11 minutes of direct feed gameplay footage of The Order: 1886 with commentary (in Italian). He praised The Order: 1886 graphics/visuals, story and other aspects of the game and also gave his verdict/review score out of 10." ^That video was deleted. http://www.gamepur.com/news/17933-order-1886-ps4-legit-retail-copy-owner-gives-910-review-score-spectacular.html

Take that you cancerous tumors! A 19 year old boy was arrested on several counts of Swatting. Spoiler A 19 Year-Old American, suspected of conducting dangerous hoax police calls across the country, was arrested in Las Vegas on Thursday.
Brandon Wilson, known as "Famed God" in some online communities, faces up to five years in jail if found guilty. It is alleged that, in July last year, he made a bogus call to Chicago police that convinced the force to raid a house in Illinois.
Wilson was tracked down by investigators based in Illinois, who seized his computer equipment and--according to prosecutors--found evidence of the swatting incident as well as similar incidents across the country.
Cases of serious hoax calls to the police, known as Swatting, have become increasingly prevalent in the past two years. The process involves obtaining someone's home address (usually via their IP address) and making a distress call to the police. Often the hoaxer will use masking software that makes the call appear to come from the victim's house.
While no one has yet died from Swatting, one victim believes the punishment for the culprits should be an attempted murder sentence.
By apparent coincidence, Wilson's arrest occurred on the same day as one Twitch streamer, Joshua Peters, broke down in tears on camera after discovering his family had been Swatted while he was broadcasting a game of Runescape.
"I had police point a gun at my little brothers because of you," Peters said in a message to the anonymous culprit, who had also posted his address on the Twitch stream chat log.
"They could have been shot, they could have died because you chose to SWAT my stream," he said, holding his emotions.
"I don't give a shit about what you have against me, or what I did to you. For that, I am at a loss for words. Your gripe is with me so let it be with me and do not involve my family in any way, shape or form with this. They don't deserve that."
Wilson is now awaiting extradition to Illinois, and faces up to five years in prison if convicted. State Attorney James Glasgow wants to introduce new legislation that would identify Swatting as a specific felony in Illinois. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/arrested-swatter-faces-maximum-five-year-prison-se/1100-6425220/

Well, I am trying to get my Green Screen stuff working. And its just not. I lack the proper lighting equipment, so the screen is giving off different key colors. I have to key in different colors for the system to erase, when it should just be one uniform color. Another thing is distance. I need to move this thing around to get rid of some green outlines on me when I keyed out the green. The screen is not perfectly flat, but I do have a proper stand coming in. What should I do? Should I just go ahead and make the Review and do the green screen stuff next time (that means there would just be a green background), or just wait until I get the lighting and the other fixes? Here is what it looks like unkeyed: Here is when I start to key out the green: Using a second color to key: And then this crap:

Well this BETA to the new Battlefield is out again... Have you played it? Thoughts? Hatred spewing rants? Its like any other Battlefield to me, but with a Cops and Robbers spin. It feels similar, but yet more "Heatish" like the movie Heat. Customization seems to rely on currency you earn rather than just unlocks. Battlepacks are back, and all of these are leading me to believe we may see Mobile game Microtransactions again... YAY!!! I have hardly any hope for the Campaign, obviously... Id still say its worth a good romp and then move on.

As a CCW holder, you NEVER EVER want to get into a situation where it means you have to use that weapon. But if that ever happens, these are the steps that I am to take should that day ever come. Which I hope not, because this looks like a nightmare. In Texas, there is this program called Texas Law Shield. They represent CCW holders in situations when they had to use what they hopped would never happen. In this case, shoot somebody... Spoiler So You Had To Use A Gun, Now What?
The moments after you have used a gun are critical. If you do or say the incorrect thing, it may mean the difference between keeping your legal rights and waiving them. These legal rights may ultimately be the difference between preserving your freedom, or not! Therefore, firearms program attorneys have recommended that our Members follow these procedures if they have used a gun.
Make sure the threat has been controlled and remain at the scene. If not, find a safe place and remain there.
Call 911, request police and ambulance – do not say anything other than your name, location, send police and ambulance, and that you have been a victim of a crime. The 911 call is recorded – Say Nothing Else!
Call your firearms program attorneys! Call the emergency hotline number on the back of your Firearms Program Member ID card.
Wait for authorities.
Return your weapon to safe keeping – do not keep it in your hands – you may be mistaken for a bad guy.
Do not disturb the scene or remove physical evidence.
Do not refuse medical treatment.
When police arrive comply with all commands in a neutral non-threatening manner, keeping your hands clear. Until they sort it out, the police do not know the good guys from the bad guys!
Inform the police you have been a victim of a crime and provide your statistical data, such as name, address, telephone, etc. – nothing else! State to the police: “I wish to invoke my right to remain silent and I want my attorney.”
Make no statement to anyone, wait to talk to your attorney. If you just shot someone, you are in no state to answer detailed questions. Silence is likely your best option.
Do not speak to the media.
If asked to accompany law enforcement, comply, but make no statements!
When your lawyer arrives, follow their advice explicitly.
Do not make any jokes or cute remarks. These may be used against you!
Even if you feel you have done nothing wrong, make no statements! Talk to your lawyer first!
There are a lot of sticky situations you can get yourself into. I can post a thread later with all the explanations for when and when to not shoot. I have a really good book that details it without all that official law clutter.

Is it me, or are the "Professional Critics" severely underrating Dying Light? Yeah its their opinion on the thing, but damn 50s? It is in NO FRIKIN WAY that low, its not even below an 8 in my opinion. The game has been wonderful, it even manages to have a good story with characters you like. (Review coming soon BTW) Do you feel like they are underrating this game a bit? http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/dying-light/critic-reviews
