Why would I be doing that?

What, do you think Lemon lives in the Shire?

Are you suggesting he doesn't?

Here's my idea: Don't have an entire section devoted to user created content.
Just upload it and feel free to mention that this was a user created video, but don't reserve an entire section for something that isn't working.

This is probably the best way to move forward, considering we're the way we are.

What do you guys feel about story based machinima? Like narration to over whats playing. Tellin a story. Its something I did before. Kinda wanted to try it again.

Thats one. And I have another thin coming.

I'd be willing to kick around some ideas and help write a script for something, or maybe work on some comedic short machinima skits, but I lack the expertise, motivation, and equipment to take it any further than that.

They were never my kind of book. I think I only finished one which was about mermaids or something.

Deep Trouble.

That one was kinda bland to be honest. I recommend something like Stay out of the basement or Let's get invisible.

Monster Blood is also a good one. Headless ghost, that one I love. I need to get that in my collection somehow.

I'll think of more good ones along the way.

I just didn't enjoy them, it isn't the sort of horror I like.

Gotcha. I'm assuming R.L. Stine isn't your thing. If you want a better book to read by him, try Hit and Run. I read that in high school.

I'm not really all that big on Horror in general, with the exception of Cosmic Horror, but that's because the Cthulhu mythos appeals to a part of me that desires strange things.

I think I need to get one eventually as well. Rome II's been lagging like crazy for me even on the lowest possible settings, and it's onlygoing to get worse with all the fire they've added to Atilla.
Rome 1 is regarded as the better one for quite a few reasons. The speech being one and they actually keep formation. May not be as pretty but yeah.

I will continue to go back to it, it's just I'd like to play the newer ones as well.

It's a childhood game for me, and one that hasn't diminished with age, so as long as I have a means to play it, I will.

And if CA can make another game that produces such an entertaining spectacle, I'll eat my foot.

I'm even tempted to read the comic.

You should, especially if you're into folktales and the like.

That said, it's quite an investment, there are over twenty Fables volumes, plus a fuck ton of spin offs.
Do they come in any kind of compendium or collection or would I have to purchase them all individually?

For the main series there are currently nine deluxe editions, with a tenth coming in May. I don't think that's the case with the spin-offs though. However, I think Jack of Fables is the longest spin-off and it's got nine volumes.
Hmmmm I'll definitely be looking into it

Cool, I hope you enjoy it.

the oracles of dug all agree that slayingold's connection to dugbar's physical conduit into this realm hold some degree of importance, however one must not mistake cognizant avatars of dug with a manifestation of actual divinity.

Further tests would have to be conducted on a specific individual corgi slayingold is in possession of. As written in the book of dug, only one avatar has been able to manifest into a human perceived vessel of dug himself.....

Spoiler

my own specimen has shown promise in obtaining divinity sometime in the next millennium,

Spoiler

if slayingold has a female counterpart displaying the same traits, copulation between the two could serve as the catalyst in the production of a true human perception of dug on this realm
You think to breed a god?

I feel the reverse, the more people that like something, the less I feel the need to like something. I feel there comes a point when what can be said through a like has been said.

Anything from Total War: Rome, really

I'm especially fond of this one:

Quote
Today we march against those necrophiliac monsters, the Egyptians. I feel nothing but revulsion for these dangerous people, especially if they are victorious!

Got to love Rome's brand of xenophobia.

Spoiler
And while arguably not actual gaming quotes, they appear in the loading screen or Medieval II: Total War: Kingdoms: Britannia, so I'll say they are.

Quote
We shall then defeat the whole lot of them in one go!
- King Edward I of England upon hearing of his Welsh allies threats to desert to the Scots'

Quote
If you're lucky enough to be Irish, then you're lucky enough.
- Irish quote

Quote
It is easy to be brave behind a castle wall.
- Welsh proverb

Quote
In a fight, anger is as good as courage.
- Welsh proverb

Quote
Drink is the curse of the land. It makes you fight with your neighbour. It makes you shoot at your landlord and it makes you miss him.
- Irish proverb

Quote
Twelve highlanders and a bagpipe make a rebellion
- Scottish proverb

I do love reading the quotes. I just recently really got into the game. Gonna save money over the summer for a better PC.

Is Infinite worth downloading? Bear in mind that I'd have to delete something else because my hard drive is full and it'll take 8 hours to download. I also didn't like Bioshock 1, so is there any point me deleting a bunch if stuff and leaving my 360 on for it or will it be a waste of time?

It's quite a bit different. Besides, once you get it, you can redownload it at any time, so it's not a particularly bad deal.

Also, it's got some cool music in it.

I was taken aback by the fact they are all good games. Plus the fact that apparently MS will give away EIGHT free games in April

Four for each console?

Cool.
