Why is this such a big thread lol

Three things guarantee replies on this site:

1.) validation
2.) sex
3.) shitting on other people

Am I wrong?

Impressions or what you imagine to certain songs also k.

This is probably on of the most influential songs that helped change my life from a place where I might have killed myself into one where that scenario is very unlikely.

Can't history also be used to trace the precedents of current effects and make predictions about future events?
I mean that's why I bother learning about it (most of the time).
I guess they can. I view those purposes as kind of niche, though, and they're not exactly for everyone (including me).
In my experience if I'm learning about history it coincides with some kind of interdisciplinary knowledge. I don't think I've ever learned about history on my own time unless I thought it was necessary to predicting or understanding parameters of something else other than history. I guess I view it more like a kind of indexing tool than a standalone field of interest.

I don't need kids right now, regardless I hate extremes, so neither, being able to now how to be either or when the situation demands it is preferable.
faggot
It's a pretty cool answer tbh

Of course I'd want my child to put others before themselves. That benefits me.

Asking which one is more important is silly.

I'd say I have a pretty well-rounded base of knowledge in both areas, but I probably lean more towards book smarts--my inability to do certain things, like drive and get a job, have hindered a lot of potential life experience I could and should have at this point, but my intense anxiety isn't really doing me any favors.

Book-wise, my weakest subject is history, by far--both in part due to my terrible education in the history department, and because the subject bores me to fucking death, so I can't exactly teach myself shit without falling asleep. There's also more practical things to be learning about.

The only thing you can do with history is argue with people about it, which doesn't really seem like a fantastic use of time--and the debates themselves are always mind-numbingly uninteresting. Like, debate about something interesting--like who burned down the Reichstag, or something. Fuck.
Can't history also be used to trace the precedents of current effects and make predictions about future events?

ITT: Spoiled California kid with no job.
Bro u mirin my new job I'm getting where I'll be getting 30-40k working 20 hours a week at 18 years old with no prior experience?
Legitimate question:
What does "mirin" mean? I've seen this around for as long as I can remember and I have no idea what it means.
Is it short for admiring?
