same.
I'm doing all the work for my group right now, I have the two most anti-social people in the class.
sometimes it's a good thing to have anti-social people in your group because then, if you're vocal enough, you can take charge of the project and make them your subordinates
or maybe i'm just a manipulative bastard
No, if they actually work this is a viable strategy.

Wait I am definitely on this campus too. My friends and I just searched all over. We found about 20 symbols total both on west and central. Two flash drives, but one was disassembled in a strategic manner (i.e. not random). Have you figured out what this all means? One of my friends suggested that any around a central location could be equidistant from another point. We've plotted all of the symbols on a map of the school and are going to start looking at that after we analyze the data we got from coordinates and compass degrees and such.

This is his first post.

I think we're using the word "music" too generously these days.
Not just music
Art and Video Game are becoming a bit overused too

Sounds like some art student's dumb project. But hey, free flash drive.
That's also my impression currently. Is it just my imagination, or does that voice sound like Kylo Ren?

For the future, putting random flash drives you found on the ground into your computer is a pretty bad idea. What's in the MP3 file?
I used one of the school computers to test it first. The mp3 is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlaXcyOBBkQwhich I just realized isn't available. This one should work: picosong.com/hAGR

cool free flash drives
RIGHT?
how many gigs?
3.74 each, the files use up .4 gigs currently. I think I'd only ever use working files on them though, so that's plenty for me.

You can't read or write music?
That's like, super basic shit fam.
Easier than English tbh.
part of it is due to pride
lots of great musicians can't read or write music--they just play it by ear
i'd like to be that cool
Reading sheet music expedites the process, but learning by ear makes you feel like a badass. I once learned Take 5 on the Ocarina by ear over a weekend. It absorbed the better part of the weekend but I impressed my lessons teacher with it the following week. I also learned that I was off by a 1/2 step. Turns out I don't have perfect pitch either.

There's the struggle of playing an instrument and being able to generate melodies automatically, but not having the pitch recognition or technical skill to actually play them just from your head.

Sounds like someone's starting an ARG
A what?
Alternate Reality Game
There's probably more clues and some kind of reward at the end. You should try to solve it or at least share the information with others at your campus.
Oh, so it really was what I googled. I wouldn't expect anyone at my university to do anything like this. The thing is, I checked all the campus locations which would be sensible for the distribution I noticed (I tried to take as many flash drives as possible). I assumed the symbols without flash drives on them meant that they were taken, but that isn't necessarily the case, I guess. I did take pictures of each symbol and recorded where it was, though.

i don't get it
what is there not to get?
what the big deal is
the fact that someone could be so insecure about what random strangers on a backwater forum thought about his personal finances that he would actually post his bank account.
Well... did any of you steal his money?

Fill them up with pictures of cactuses and then give them back to the owner.
I don't know who distributed these. I just found them on chalk-scrawled symbols. I have three flashdrives out of the 12-15 symbols I found.
Fill them up with cactuses and then put them back at the symbols.
But I like their design. I think I'm going to be keeping these. Also the symbol matches what the chalk scrawlings looked like.
Fill ONE up with pictures of cacti and put it back, leave it as a mystery wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a quandary.
I could also just drop my hentai folder in there...
