I hope somebody throws pyrocynical off a roof

I remember him back when montage parodies were a thing, what happened to him and his content since then? He seems to be heavily disliked now.

I hate comics sometimes

I mean, I sort of like the way that she carriers her sexual desires (uncompromising and unapologetic), I just think the concept in and of itself is just an excuse to sexualise a character.
I want to stab myself

Isn't Starfire some kind of massive slut/potential pedophile in the comics?

Her people are born with no emotional ties to their sexual desires so it's a lot less complicated for them to sleep around.

Yeah, they're entire race is sexualised. They can learn an entire language by kissing people.

I hate comics sometimes

Hey yo what the fuck is that thing as your avatar
Well you see I have joined the ranks of people on this site with gender dysphoria.

The photo you see is the true me. I'm actually wearing a dress that's basically identical as I type this.

I know it's been said before, but your art style is fantastic.

His art style is good enough that I don't automatically loathe the characters he draws, despite them being fursonas.

That's quite a feat.

Like this.  It's not perfect and I'm not completely happy with it (not that it's done), but it's another thing I can (and need) to check off  my list

That looks great! The shocktrooper scheme works well for FO troopers.

Unfortunately I haven't finished painting my Black Templars Crusade yet; I failed to meet the deadline for the Fate of Konor global campaign.

It is? Buildings look very Paris to me.

Plus I'm pretty sure there's a moped in the picture.

I think that particular panel is fake (it's not comic-sans), but there are plenty like it.

>This is from the book
Lol what the fuck is this?

This reads like a bad greentext. I thought this book was supposed to be passably good?

Not just a greentext, a greentext that has been written to be deliberately cringy.

Except I have a distinct feeling that wasn't what the author was going for.

This sounds like something that would make a really good mini series that would get fucked up by politics

I thought the same thing, actually.

The Flood / I Just Finished "A Canticle for Leibowitz"
« on: July 21, 2017, 02:08:58 AM »

I thought it was an excellent read; I would go so far as to say it is one of my favorite science fiction novels.

For those unaware, A Canticle for Leibowitz is a 1960 science fiction novel by Walter M. Miller Jr., centering on the Albertian Order of Leibowitz, a Catholic monastic order based in the American Southwest that has dedicated itself to the preservation of knowledge in the wake of a nuclear holocaust. The novel is separated into three parts, and each part is separated by 600 years, with the novel beginning 600 years after the nuclear holocaust, or the "Flame Deluge". Thus, the events of the novel span eighteen centuries. Its themes include the relationship between church and state, humanity's tendency to repeat its own mistakes, among others. While the book as a whole can be characterized as rather melancholy, it is punctuated by many moments of dry humor, which never failed to get a chuckle out of me.

I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Here's the summary on the back cover of my copy.
"In the Utah Desert, Brother Francis of the Albertian Order of Leibowitz has made a miraculous discovery: the relics of the martyr Isaac Leibowitz himself, including the blessed blueprint and the sacred shopping list. They may provide a bright ray of hope in a terrifying age of darkness, a time of ignorance and genetic monsters that are the unholy aftermath of the Flame Deluge. But as the spellbinding mystery at the core of this novel unfolds, it is the search itself - for meaning, for truth, for love - that offers hope to a humanity teetering on the edge of an abyss"

Oh, and I forgot to mention: the book is one of the inspirations for the Brotherhood of Steel from Fallout, which is how I first heard about the novel.

Wow what a nice thing to say

I didn't get along well with him all the time, but I still want him to come back just so I know he is okay.

It doesn't look like a ha she kissed me smugness. It looks like a yeah boy I've been fucking her the whole time smug smirk.

Thoughts?

Maybe, just maybe, and this is just me throwing shit at the wall here, you have a crude mind and have a preoccupation with carnality that definitely isn't demonstrated by your threads and posts here.

In Empire there's the famous scene where Han and Leia are arguing and she leans over and kisses Luke. Luke leans back with a smug look on his face.

Oh wow I've never heard of or witnessed this scene, in fact I doubt any of us have seen this moment from this obscure "Empire" movie you speak of.

Your post is an insightful analysis of a little-known film that, I think we can all agree, is definitely intelligent and of superb quality.
